The first studies from my book, Play the Ukulele in 5ths Tuning (Mel Bay) www.melbay.com... - all in TAB. Strings are available for 5ths tuning from Aquila. I am using the Concert strings on a Tenor, and have tuned lower because of the extra length. This is the first is a series of videos where I talk you through some studies and pieces, giving my thoughts on technique and interpretation. Any questions, just ask. As my book mentions, Aquila make two sets of Ukulele in 5ths strings, one for a Soprano (30U - GDAE tuning - same as a violin) and Concert (31U - CGDA - same as a viola or as a cello an octave higher). The Concert strings also work on a Tenor ukulele, as I show here, but I tune all the strings down a semitone or two as the string length of the Tenor is longer. So, you do need to change all the strings from your regular gCEA tuning. Many people use this as an excuse to buy yet another ukulele!
