    Sa mga gusto mag-kalso pero walang dalang kalso, pwede niyo gamitin yung curb kung kayo ay naka legal street parking. Yung curb, ito yung elevated part ng gutter. Ang gagawin nyo lang ililiko nyo ang front wheel papunta sa kaliwa kung uphill parking, at pakanan naman kung downhill parking. Para kung bumigay man ang braking system nyo, sasaluhin ito ng curb. Effective ang technique na ito, at sa katunayan nakasulat pa mismo ito sa mga driver licensing books ng iba't ibang bansa.

    Hindi naman problema yan, madalas din ako nagpa park sa ganyang lugar. First press the emergency brake and put the transmission on park. Mas advantage nga ang auto trans sa paakyat kapag tumigil ang traffic dahil hindi basta aatras yan. 20 taon na akong nagmamaneho ng auto trans kaya wala akong naging problema sa ganyang sitwasyon.

    After stop the vehicle Hand Brake or Foot Brake muna bago i kambiyo sa Park. Yun ang mas tama. Para mag re relay ung weight ng vehicle s preno and not sa kambiyo. Meron kasing kapirason bakal maliit lang siya serves as lock pag nag kambiyo ka s park. Pag iyun ang naputol malaki ang gastos mo vs. brake pad which is cheaper. Mga 10 times ang difference ng presyo

    Additional tip, before engaging park/hand brake, foot brake should be fully engaged. This is to LESSEN friction on the park brake cable when pulling it while the foot brake is not engaged

    Whether uphill or downhill (assuming no side curb or gutter), while your right foot is holding or pressing the brake pedal, shift the transmission lever from D to N then pull the eBrake button (or hand-brake lever for older car), wait until P (park) indicates on dashboard display, at this point, the car is being held by park brake, and then shift the transmission lever to P (park) then shut the engine off. The logic here is to prevent the transmission lock pin or pawl from being stress (mechanically) due to added roll weight of the car introduced by gravity. More power to DMA 👍

    ang point kaya nag nneutral ang iba para sigurado kapit yung handbrake. kasi pag nag handbrake at park kana at pagrelease ng preno d pala kapit si hand brake mastress ang park pawl.

    Dapat po talaga parehong gamitin ang ang park pawl and hand brake kapag mag papark. Kahit na sa patag na parking area. Kung inclined parking naman po, parking pawl+ hand brake+ gutter ng kalsada. Turn sterring wheel to left kung uphill and right turn naman po kung downhill.

      Sad to say po nung mauso ang social media marami rin natuto mag comment ng offensive. Kahit gaano ka n ka courteous at maingat sa sasabihin meron mag disagree which is normal. Pero meron mga hindi sapat na magdisagree lng iwanan k pa ng rude comment. Auto delete n lng para iwas sa mahabang unnecessary discussion 🙂

    When parking on a inclined always steer the wheel 45° inward or outward..just incase mg roll ang car the wheel will hit the curb and stop from rolling..Break, Park and EB, thats the correct way..No need na mag kalso basta nka rested ung front wheel ng 45° sa curb or gutter.

      @@Cruz.Norberto2nd depend sa conditions ng EB mo, last month nawalan aq ng EB bcoz of worn pads..kya iniiwasan ko mag park s inclined. kse kht nka sagad n ung EB ko nag ro-roll p rin ung car ko. kya pinagawa ko agad.but now confident na ko kht inclined kse malakas n ung kapit..basta nk sagad lng ung EB when in inclined places.

      General rule po ALWAYS PARK YOUR CAR IN GEAR! Safety proceedure and practices po yan mga good drivers. Wheel chocks are highly recommended when parking on a graded/inclined surface.✌️✌️✌️

    What you mentioned Kuya Mikmik is what I've been doing ever since I owned a car.
    When parking, the key takeaway is never let go of the foot brake until I lifted the handbrake and set the shift knob to P. It doesn't matter if the handbrake or shift P comes first, but the last step should be to let go of the foot brake.
    I never heard a knocking sound or had any problems with this method.

    Tama ka bro, nag tatalyer din ako way back 2002 to 2012, ang daming mga pag kakataon na napuputol ang kable kapag yun ang inuuna kapag mag inclined parking, mas kampante ako kapag ang nasa manual ang aking sinusunod dahil nga sila ang unang una na may buong kaalaman sa mga sasakyang kanilang ginawa sa anumang parte ng kanilang inilalabas na sasakyan bukod sa napagaralan nila ito ay syempre iiwas sila na maputukan ng buyers nila sakaling may sumablay sa kanilang modelo. Tandaan po natin, sasakyan mo, buhay mo, kayat huwag po tayong mag mamarunong pa sa mga nakasaad sa manual o sa mga manufacturers na maaaring mga ninuno na nila ang nakaimbento ng isang partikular na brand ng sasakyan.     Foot Brake/hand brake/P/turn off engine/release foot brake, kung gusto po ng iba dumaan sa N go. Wag lang bitawan ang foot break kc kung sa hand brake lng nila i aasa safety at buhay nila at pamilya nila mahirap yon baka gaya ng sabi mo kuya mik nasisira din hand brake at napuputol cable.     Manual car gamit ko pero kahit ano pa man ang sasakyan, for fail safe, dapat nakaposition ang front wheels in a way na sa gilid lang ng kalsada ito tatama at hindi sa flow ng traffic ng mga sasakyan para iwas aksidente at abala. In fact kasama ito sa mga tanong sa exam ng LTO.

    Ang mga automatic transmission na design ngayon ay may park pawl na tinatawag,pag nilagay mo sa park ay mag hold din para huwag umatras o umabante at syempre katulong nya ang handbrake kahit pa yan ay pataas o pababa,yun iba nagtuturo maari hindi nila alam yan lalo na kung hindi sila nakapag aral kung paano gumagana ang tinatawag na park pawl at lalo na kung hindi pa sila nakapagbukas ng automatic transmission,pag nakapag overhaul sila ng automatic transmission like honda,dun nila makikita kung paano gumagana ang park pawl na tinatawag,pag naka engaged or naka shift position mo ay nasa park kahit itulak mo yan ay hindi uusad dahil nakalock ang transmission,dinesign yan for safety kahit malimutan mo ihand brake basta naka park position yun kambyo hindi sya basta aatras o aabante.

      Tama po, meron lng po kc mga kumalat n video sa tiktok na ilagay daw sa neutral then hatakin ang handbrake then bitawan na ang brake pedal bago ilagay sa park para mag engage ang park pawl.
      Kaya marami po nagtanong sa kin kun ok daw ba yun. Sabi ko lng po na ok din yun kung plagi makapal ang brake pads at bago pa mga cable ng hsnd brake. Base po kc sa experience ko sa pag tatalyer noon, naluluma at napuputol din ang cable ng handbrake kc marami n ko pinalitan nyan ganun din nman ang pads, napupudpod din pag tagal, kya hindi sa lahat ng pagkakataon pwede gawin ang ganun style kc pag bitiw sa brake pedal at pudpod n ang pads or matiempo n mapatid ang cable gugulong pababa. 🙂

    Ang purpose kasi ng pag neutral is to release the stress sa footbreak at machannel siya sa handbrake, then yung support nalang is Park pole or PARK option sa engine. The point is may magsupport lang sa engine, kaya ganon ang method.

    Ang sa manual ay safe, Bago mo release Ang break naka handbreak kana tapos park saka mo bitawan footbreak, lalo pa uphill park mo. Kung Duda ka hanap ka patag wag ka park sa uphill o downhill. Kung nakapark ka NAMAn sa down or up hanap ka kalso para Wala ka ikabahala. Napakasimple bakit kapa dadaan ng neutral e Ang Park Ang turo sa manual, kaya nga may park e ibig sabihin yan pinaka safe Bago mo bitawan foot break. Bakit pa dadaan ng neutral magaling paba Ang mga yan sa gumawa ng sasakyan. Tandaan mo lang lagi fullstop tapos siguradohin mo handbreak mo na naiangat mo ng maayos para pagbinitawan mo footbreak hindi na gagalaw sasakyn mo. Kaya lng naman gumagalaw sasakyan mo KASi nilagay mo sa park tas binitawan mo footbreak gumalaw kasi pagka handbreak mo di maayos minsan nangyayari yan sa nagmamadali.

    Very nice, with scientific explanation and very good analysis. Bago pa lang din ako sa matic, manual kasi lagi, kaya malaking tulong sa akin to. Nag safety driving seminar ako long time ago, pero naituro lang kung paano i position ang gulong papuntang gutter kapag uphill o downhill parking. May nag sabi sa akin na wag na mag hand brake kasi di nman daw tatakbo kahit itulak mo kapag naka P na. Masisira pala yung parking pawl kapag ganun, di ba. Salamat sa turo mo sir.

    di tatagal ang transmission pag mas pwersado palagi ang park pawl... isa pa mahihirapan kang mag release ng kambyo kung mas pwersado yong parking pawl... dahil nagkokontrahan yong gear at yong pawl.. kaya kalaunan ay sira ang transmission

    most modern car nowadays in automatic transmission,can not switch the ignition key to OFF without shifting the gear into park…and equipped with hill start assist.

    Sabagay malaya ang engine at tranny ng sskyan kung naka neutral..tpos nakainclined,,malayang hilahin ng force of gravity ang sskyan..unlike sa nakkambyo paabante o paatras(depende sa katayuan ng sasakyan) nakalaban ang sskyan sa force of gravity kaya hndi mapoforce ang break cable at mismong break at handbreak pag engage,,ska isishift sa parking mas safe sya..kesa dumaan sa neutral bago hhilahin ang handbreak..khit nga naman bglang maputol ang handbreak cable tiyak na hndi ggalaw ang sskyan,,magkkaoras pa para makalsuhan..siguristang diskarte..

    Additional. Kung may gutter or s gilid k ng bangketa nag park, pag up hill parking yung gulong s unhan dapat nakapihit palabas pra yung gutter ang magiging kalso in case, pag down hill nmn pihit yung gulong towards the gutter para din kalso. Ganun turo d2 s nz. Tnx

    tama naman tlga boss, kht sa Manual car mo subukan yan NEUTRAL sa pabulusok talagang tatayo lahat ng balahibo mo eh. yan ung tagal mo nang nag drive pero dmo pala na gets ung common sense ng safety bat ganun ung procedure. kaya Mythic ka tlga pag nka manual ka tapos mag papark ka uphill or nsa byahe ka tpos traffic uphill bumper to bumper 1 oras tapos hnd pa uso ung hand brake.     kuya mikmik, baka pwedeng pasama sa discussion yung technique na dapat naka liko ang manibela patutok / palayo sa gutter pag naka park sa incline.
    napansin ko lang kasi dun sa isang clip dito, yung pajero na tumawid pa, kung nakatutok pakabila sana yung manibela, hihinto lang sa gutter yung sasakyan imbis na tumawid pa.

    Sa amin may dala2x wheel chucks palagi added safety..parang eroplano kahit flat na flat ang runway at parking ramp..SOP talaga worldwide may chucks bago release ang brakes

    Like your explanation .. though I still wanted to have it neutral then lift the handbrake before putting to park and finally release the foot brake. But at least your explanation based on the manual the more I felt relief if I had to put it directly to park position and lift the handbrake to ally the park position and release the foot brake as the last. Thanks

      Oks po yun wag lng po irelease ang footbrake to let let the handbrake bear all rhe load the engage park.
      Yan po kc ipinipilit sa akin nung ibang mga aggressive n nag cocomment. According to them kelangan daw saluhin ng hand brake ang bigat para wala ng stress sa park pawl ng transmission. Pinipilit ako maniwala sa knila. Kya npagod n po ko magreply, ginawan ko n lng po ng content. 😊

      Pwede din nman mag neutral gaya ng ginagawa ng iba kc feel nila n mas ok yun sa transmission pero wag bitiwan ang brake pedal. After dumaan sa neutral hatakin ang handbrake shift to p. Tapos sa huli pa din ang oag release sa brake pedal. ,😊 Pero ako kc deretso n sa p😊
