      @@Lifeage55 This is a common misconception about billionaires. Their assets are not as liquid (spendable) as most would like to think. His billions historically have been in equity, not cash. He couldn't just go out and spend a billion dollars without selling those stocks or bonds first and paying taxes on the gains he has made. Someone has to be there to buy that huge volume of equity as well. His doing so could hurt the company he is invested in.
      His business is in owning parts of businesses that create jobs and move money through them. As he invests and the companies grow, other investors come and raise the value of the company, which in turn can then take out more loans and make more profit to reinvest in the company, hire more people and do more business. He is facilitating far more economic activity than one could probably truly comprehend.

      Millennials are so naive. "There's class warfare, all right, but it's my class, the rich class, that's making war, and we're winning," Buffett famously said in a 2006 interview. He has all the money to never worry about food, medical bills, home, employment. Are your closed ones secure that way??? You respect those who get rich by exploiting other people. Yeah, he got his super wealth from the investment mechanisms that operate thanks to corporations exploiting their workers. His wealth got in his hands via parasiting on sweat, life time energy, crushed hopes of working people. So, he drives an old car and lives in an old house. In Europe, many riches hide their expensive spending and pricey purchases from the public in order to create a fake "nice guy" image. He does not want a new car. He wants to reign over people's existence.

    It's admirable to help those that are left behind for no real fault of their own, and we should. However, the more generously we help people, the more people that could achieve more just settle for handouts. Then before you know it, there are many nonproducers and very few producers and it all collapses. You may think, "Who would willingly just take the small handouts given," but there are many people that do this. More each year. I was one for many years because, when you grow up surrounded by these people, you are raised with the mentality that if you produce too much you will lose the handout, and you don't want that to happen. You become dependent on it, and it is very hard to overcome that mentality. I was lucky.

    • @antennawilde
      @antennawilde 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Your whole premise is based on the assumption that the more people are given, the less they will do, when in fact the opposite is true. The vast majority of people, if given money so they don't have to work ever, would very quickly become depressed and feel useless. The most important thing for people is to feel they have a purpose in life. That is why people like Gates and Buffett give to charities and provide free advice to help others. What else are they going to do, sit on their yachts all day? It gets boring and meaningless.

    • @ExtendedDelta
      @ExtendedDelta 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@antennawilde I am not talking about giving people enough money to where they never have to work again, and that is not what was discussed in the video.
      I am talking about giving people just enough to get them through the month, each month. "To help those left behind." This has caused a culture of dependence. Where each generation teaches the next generation what they need to do to get a government check. These lessons include being the least productive as possible. I spent 40 years in this culture, and this is the reality.
      Anecdotal? Yes, but if you take a realistic look at every part of this country you will see that my experience is not an anomaly. This is how it is.
      I love the idea of helping people that can't help themselves. The older person that worked all their lives but for some reason at no fault of their own can no longer support themselves in their old age, or the gifted kid that loves engineering but would need to go into massive debt to get an engineering degree. Great, I'm all for helping people like that.
      But the way we are currently doing that has failed, needs to be drastically revised, and is doing far more harm then good.

      ...then say, "The older person that worked all their lives but ... can no longer support themselves in their old age, or the gifted kid that loves engineering but would need to go into massive debt to get an engineering degree. Great, I'm all for helping people like that."
      Don't you see those arguments are contradictory? ie., how can you say you want to support the old person who can no longer work, while simultaneously arguing against supporting them every month because it creates dependence?
      btw the current system for those seniors is already inadequate, so you would be arguing for an INCREASE in benefits for them.

    • @ExtendedDelta
      @ExtendedDelta 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@antennawilde No, you are mixing up people that actually need help, with people that do not and missing my point.
      Our current system is horrible at determining which is which, and it has caused a massive increase in the number of people that take the handouts but don't really need it.
      This has caused an epidemic of government dependence that helps nobody.
      The reason I bring up the people that do actually need the help, is to express the fact that I understand that there are actually people that need the help and that we should be helping them. It is also, I believe, beneficial to us all to do so.
      However, we have reached a point where the number of people that don't need it far out number the people that do, and it is having a detrimental effect on our society.

That's why Warren Buffet don't mention god in his many interviews, he simply knows better than anybody else can, let alone a questionable being that does not, never has been and will NEVER....EVER exist!!😀😀

    When you know how to make a lot of money with your own decision. You’ll think twice every action that must be done to advance one step ahead, while luxuries and other fancy doings isn’t prioritized to maximize the work. But when you earned money from salary your mind thinks that its yours and must be spent on yourself because you’ve earn it from working. That’s why the rich will always be rich and the poor will be among us.

      Don't eleminate but raise wage to a reasonable level. By this way, both benefits. For sure, the raise will slow down their riches. In totality, all will benefit. In case you never increase the wage and, coupled with the population's growth, you will have few riches and massive amount of poor.
      Wonderful system = population increase + constant wages over decades.

Does it hurt your widow head to think that life in this 3D realm isn’t designed to let you blob around in like warm bubbles of self delusion and ease?! Check recent history... many “conspiracies” of the recent past are now straight up in your face facts. It’ll be ok but don’t think that you have the full story. The amount of deceit, lies and manipulation happening right now is staggering. Look up and around instead of at the ground and then imagine what has been going on directly behind you your whole life, the sheer amount of information literally fly over your head everyday. Conspiracies in and of them selves aren’t the bogey man. It is slow suicide to ignore your health your whole life and figure you can just go to he doctor if you need something. That is insanity. I studied alternative health for the last 30+ years and am blessed from the knowledge. The old sick people can't buy good health and suffer a lot. Wake up and do your homework on how to be healthy and invest your time into it. Not just a google the odd time. Warren, I think that the people in a country can be seen as an entity that protects and fosters its citizens.
    My M.B.A. friend said many years ago that most people have the potential to make a very positive contribution to the economy. They gain a great deal by having the opportunity to do so. When they do this they reduce the burden that they impose on others in the society. They have economic value. Times change and these same people may be for example excellent pilots, barbers, or security people. There are also very clearly numerous long term pay out employments such as replanting with more valuable trees.
    In Scandinavia training goes along with assistance to maintain motivation.
    Loved your ideas but felt that you were not up to speed because you can not be everything to everyone and so went light on this portion, possibly because of a desire to be liked and
    wanting to avoid this vexed area.
    I would predict that security and strength in a society and its stability have a relation to the accomplishments and respect afforded to regular people and their contributions.
    Likely those of us who have done well have the most to gain from these factors such as respect and happiness in the general populations where we live.
    Don

    You have to have some common sense, for it is a luxury you cannot learn or buy. If you like to be in control of your life, then never be late, and never believe that something cannot be done, for everything within reason is possible. They told me I could never learn foreign languages without going to school.
    Today I speak four of them, including the English you are reading, and never set foot in a classroom. Then somebody else told me I could never author a book in a foreign languages, if you check on Amazon you should find 5 of them. Somebody once refused to give me a salesman job because of my Italian accent. five years later I bought his dealership. Be humble, if you believe in something, don't let anybody stop you. Be always very respectful, especially with little people or your employees, but never succumb to arrogance when you know to be right. Never brag, shut your mouth and listen, for it is impossible to learn anything if you keep talking. Enough for today I like Warren Buffet he is a great man, but my Idols are President Trump and Elon Musk. Those two probably will be recognized as the most significant individuals of this Century.
