Jaguar was my first car and I still have it sitting in the garage although it has ran for the past year. Jags have never been the same to me after 2008
The modern day car industry is just a Massive mixing pot of shared body shells and components, it’s been like that for years! There’s no real genuine car manufacturers anymore, everything is just watered down to feed the masses! That’s why I just stick to Old Ford’s and Old Mercedes, because they’re the original car manufacturers. Sadly the car industry will never be what it was! Great video thanks 😎❤️
Jaguar should've worked on their reliability ridicule & reputation to release a better midsize & full size crossover which is what has been selling better over the years. That's why people flocked to the luxury brands that offer crossovers & SUVs that have models in those segments. They were betting too heavily on their sedans & coupe to see if they'd get more new customers but they didn't address the reasons why people were avoiding Jaguar in the first place
As the proud owner of a 2004 XK8 coupe I'm so gutted to see the decline of Jaguar. Say what you like but Jags were always beautiful, and then in the era of my XK8, incredibly reliable. I've had mine for 10 years, it's now on 110k miles, always doing full throttle highway pulls and taking corners hard, and it's never let me down. Yes it has lots of maintenance costs whenever I take it for its big annual service, but but it's an expensive car with expensive parts. The trade off is that it looks great, sounds great, drives, great, and it's always ready to go and reliable. I just always assumed that Jaguar would carry on making cars that I'd want to buy, but like most of the car industry they just completely went down the drain.
In 2001, Jaguar scored very high in overall customer satisfaction, tied w/ Mercedes and 1 point higher than Lexus, according to J.D. Power & Associates. Talk about one of the biggest paradigm shifts I'd ever known of. Sounds like it dropped back down by now, being lower than inferior brands like Hyndai & Kia.
0:37 The Jaguar F-Pace is actually a compact crossover & they don't have any SUV bigger than the F-Pace which already had a tight interior in the second row. They never had a midsize or full size crossover to be more appealing to more people
I'm kinda feeling this way towards the Mercedes Benz 4.0 TT that's in everything they make now. The numbers on the boot used to mean something. I'm only buying pre 2009 Merc's Spot on video 👍 keep up the good work.
TATA own Jaguar. TATA policy is to strip the asset of its value, with minimum investment. TATA do not use cash, but borrow money. TATA is ready to throw Jaguar into the bin for someone else to buy. TATA have done the same with British Steel.
Its a little sad for such a storied brand to have fallen soo far from grace... I believe the decent started with the X-type (Ford Mondeo based) and S-type (shared w/Lincoln LS) , absolute poor quality powertrains, cheap components and build quality, I speak from personal experience w/both Jag and Lincoln ownership. It's a good thing I was always a Benz guy..
Nobody buys Jaguar in India , Its only the Land Rover brand which is the most sought after here also JLR is a british marque not Indian (just owned by Indians)
Their gas powered cars aren't selling and if they are going to go full electric they need to yolo it. I think they should have gas powered crossovers shared with land Rover. But their sedans are dead. Even Ford doesn't want to make sedans.
Jaguar was able to compete until the Big 3 Germans started focusing on dominating the US market. The quality of BMW and Audi in the 90s and early 2000s was so much better than today and definitely better than Jaguar at the time. This is also about the time brands started financing and pushing out lease queens. Jaguar just wasn’t capable of keeping up.
In todays car industry there is no genuine car brands, all car manufacturers are using platforms, parts etc from parent companies I.e. Jaguar using Ford parts ( when owned by Ford ), Bentley using VW parts. Even though I own a 2006 4.2 v8 sovereign the Ford's parts are noticeable, not like in the old day's when 'premium' car manufacturers designed from the ground up. With all the part sharing it's a disgrace what these so called luxury car manufacturers are charging 😳.
Modern day jag is pretty disappointing I drive a 1990 jaguar xj40 and the car has so much character and is actually reliable. These modern day ones are meh 🤷🏽♂️
As a Jag enthusiast, I sincerely hope JLR executives don’t take your recommendations seriously! It looks like you don’t have much experience in the auto industry or are being a bit racist or too emotional about the Jaguar brand. You really think Tata is going to sell cheap cars under the Jaguar badge? Never! Don’t think Jaguar will become like another failed British brand, MG- that now owned by SAIC selling Chinese cars with MG badge and calling it a British brand. Or are you worried Jag might have the fate of one more failed British car brand, Bentley, where VW sold its Phaeton car under the Bentley brand? Making Jaguar a separate brand..? Really???? Dude, you lost me there! Research a bit on how VW revived many failing luxury car brands, including Aston Martin... the British brand now owned by the Germans! A luxury car company without the support of a mass-market brand is a tried and tested recipe for disaster. I would also recommend you watch the Autocar India interview with Tata's boss about Tata Motors' future and how they want to revive JLR. And I am shocked you never mentioned the damages done by Ford on Jaguar, do some more research and then recommend what JLR and Tata Motors should do!
So after the recent ad what do you think Jaguar has lost its reputation….its 5yrs too late to go all electric when every other electric cars are being exposed as they are not what they seem
Jaguar was my first car and I still have it sitting in the garage although it has ran for the past year. Jags have never been the same to me after 2008
"It looks like a futuristic robotic brothel" MAN WHAT LMAO 💀
this had me dead hahaha
outa pocket, but he's right
wow its funny to hear as we dont actually see as many jags here in the UK too atm!! bless up for the content boys!!

Old jags miles better than whatever they have released in the past 10-15 years
TATA + EV = R.I.P. Jaaag. Stopping production of the XJ models was the first nail in the coffin.

Just keep that car forever. I think it will never ever go down in value.

@@kevinhabener1279 Indeed, such a shame because at that moment it was just great.
They’re going all electric. They have great deals going on right now if you negotiate ! Just copped an f pace SVR for the low low
Great take on the situation with this brand. I like how you put other information in there too and tie it all up (kohinoor).
Their new ad will turn the company around! Lol
They abandoned their unique body lines and they don't look like anything special

I did own a Jag around 10years ago it was an X-type 2.5 V6 AWD Sport version. I sold it after 3 years … that car never let me down…. 🚗 👍🏻
"Turn that cash into a Benz, and keep you money in the street." REAL TALK!

Spot on video 👍 keep up the good work.
My 2011 NA S550 would have word with you! 👍
Would love to see Daniel on a long form podcast for his background in finance and investing (and Swagger stories 😅)
Daniel dropping gems like jags dropping share value.😂

TATA have done the same with British Steel.
seems like they can't settle on an identity. they need to go all in in one single market segment, whichever it is.
gotta bring back old jags
In the uk jaguars have always been unreliable and troublesome
Interesting video

Extremely skeptical about their allegedly in-house new electric cars. I want them to win but I need to be convinced
I love my I pace First Edition with carbon fiber wheels.

The Biggest!

Yugo is now the replacement brand for Jaguar.
I will try Jaguar's new all-electric lineup
At $120,000?

Sir William Lyons would, laugh and weep at the same time, just like the rest of us.. .. imo...

Aston Martin was never been owned by VW.
So after the recent ad what do you think
Jaguar has lost its reputation….its 5yrs too late to go all electric when every other electric cars are being exposed as they are not what they seem
英國のjaguarはインドの資本に買収されて昔のjaguarは終わっていました😂
残念ですが。
This seems paid propaganda TH-cam channel by jaguar's rival company
