I don't know, is it just me? But even the Iceland volcanoes are tidy and picturesque. Thanks for braving the very understandable dangers of lava to bring us such a unique news report!

Hello from Finland, our timing was perfect! Last Tuesday we went to Blue Lagoon, very last day for our Iceland vacation, and now we're back home. Wonderful county!

Greetings from Western Canada. Thank you Andie Sophia & Art, always nice to hear the latest from you! Art, I have a poster size print of one of your beautiful volcano photos on my wall. Just left Iceland 5 days before this latest eruption. Next time I come, I'll bring you two something from duty free!

I am in Portugal, a country in Europe where air temperature is STILL at 22ºC daytime unfortunately for me, and i came across your news report from Iceland, a country i was never be able to visite and probably will never visite because Portugal is poor as hell and pay evil salaries to majority of us, anyway i love Island and ,now i can say ,love you work, very honest way of doing news reporte. I saw snow about 6 times and lava about none, so i see TH-cam channels to fill the gap.

I have been watching, through Live from Iceland, the activity at Reykjanes Peninsula and the vicinity since sometime last year. The citizens of Grindavík, their animals, their homes, their businesses, along with the rest of the Peninsula have been foremost in my thoughts. Live from Iceland web site shut down for a while but is slowly returning.

Wonder how many days it'll be until Blue Lagoon gets its new parking space located 3-4m above its former parking space. Based on previous eruptions, I bet it'll be shockingly quick.

Great report. But I have to disagree that the workers building berms and underappreciated. I think everyone KNOWS how much they have done that saved the town, and the Blue Lagoon. Without those berms, they might both have been inundated.

Sorry, but it is absolutely irresponsible to open up the blue lagoon as soon as possible at the cost of the safety of mostly unaware tourists. This eruption has more than clearly shown how even the best people can not predict where and how far and how fast the lave can and will flow.

You failed to mention and honor the workers at the Blue lagoon who are able to get their guests ready to go in about 30 minutes.
The Blue lagoon is the largest employer in that country.
The Blue lagoon is the biggest investment for retirees I believe it holds the most in 401K

To say this eruption doesn't pose any threat whatsoever to people is reckless. Gas from these volcanoes is deadly!

I was just scrolling through the comments to see if anybody else was warning against speaking in absolutes about these things without actually looking for other dynamics that are involved just cuz the lava is not making it to some treasured area doesn't mean that there are not other dangers to humans and environment alike

The whole area inc Grindavik/Blue lagoon, should be de- huminised, since its only going to be fit for moss/mould or other forms of basic life. Not for Human habitation, at least for the next 500 years, at a guess. All the blest to ICELAND, but its so fucking expensive.
