Can you refill the transmission fluid from the top instead underneath. I have a Jeep wrangler 2012. And what type and size of tools did you use. Thank you for your reply.
Hi Jamie. You can refill from top but then you would need a long tube. A pump isn’t too much work. I’d have to rewatch the video to determine tools needed. Please like and consider subscribing.
Curious, would this cause the transmission to slip off low or empty? Mine just started to slip around July 4 just stopped driving it. It's an 08 6 speed 2 door?
That is up to you but I do my trans and diff fluids usually every 2 years regardless since it's so easy. Don't forget to like, share, and subscribe if you haven't already.
Awesome video!! 🙏🏻 I’m going to change my electrical transmission connector I think it’s leaking from there. Do you think I have to drain the transmission fluid to change that part, thank you!!
Thank you! Not sure about needing to disconnect it but but could be a great time to replace the fluid regardless. Don’t forget to like and consider subscribing to the channel if you haven’t already.
Hey! I think you should change it every 20,000 miles since it’s so easy to do. 20,000 is well ahead of change intervals though. Don’t forget to like, share, and subscribe if you haven’t already.
@@angelcangas4653 Yes it has transmission oil. This is a transfer case oil video. My mistake on says transmission fluid. I should have said transfer case.
I didn’t get to it this go around. My fluids are changed frequently so I am not as worried about it. Thanks for pointing it out though. Please like and consider subscribing if you haven’t already.
Very useful straight to the point 👉
Thank you! Thumbs up video?
Wow 2007 and still gorgeous!

A layer of Saran or plastic wrap over your exhaust will keep it clean when the oil drains out.
Thanks for watching Jeeper P!

I don’t know the answer to your question, sorry! Anyone else know the answer?
How many miles is it recommended to do the transmission fluid change...I hear 60,000 miles ...is that right.

90,000 I think
That's correct, every 50,000 to 60,000 miles is recommended. Depending on usage and how you wheel, 30,000 to 40,000 would be it.

hey thanks for this video. do you know if its a good idea to change it after reaching 100K miles? I do not have info when it was last serviced.

There is no filter to replace?
I didn’t change it here. There is a filter and I’ll try to make an updated video soon.
What about the filter? Did you use the pump?
I did not change the filter this go around by will on next
Why are you using gear oil that normally goes in your differentials and not the recommended ATF 4+ transmission fluid?
This is actually transfer case fluid for your gear box, not transmission fluid. Sorry about that.
@@512TXSDIY so the 2007 Jeep wrangler don’t use transmission oil? I am confuse

So is this not a transfluid change?
Wait so what’s the difference of this and taking the pan out of the trans and change the filter too ?
This is only changing the fluid
this is a manual transmission has no filter nor pan.
My 2014 trans is completely different.
Could be. This here is a 2008 year. Don’t forget to like and subscribe if you haven’t already.
Manual transmission?
