"I do try to organize them (scraps and bits of paper)..... I don't get terribly far" lol!!!! Tell it like it is miss Kylie! I love that. Just so you know.... I don't get terribly far either. Hahahaha! Blessings to you for a creative weekend. You always make mine more pleasant. And I love the new time, but was perfectly happy with the other one as well. 💕🧡
Thanks so much Sharon - when I do try and organise I end up just thinking 'oh! I'll just do something creative with that now and I'll come back to the organising!' One of these days ... some time ... maybe ...
I prefer the Sunday morning slot: it gets me out of bed wondering what you and Nina have posted. Someone else who I follow posts on a Saturday. It's not a huge deal, though. Like your master boards and look forward to next week!.
You know what I love about you most of all? You don’t treat us like we’re idiots! You don’t explain EACH & EVERY step you make. When I see someone that just jabbers through every step like we are gonna get lost glueing something to a piece of paper, I want to scream! You get through so much video and tutorial by doing it without talking and we can accomplish so much more by just watching! If we miss something or need to ask a question , put it in the comments! Come on people, use your head for something more than a hat rack!!!!!
Thank you so much Ann and apologies for delaying in replying - for some reason your comment had gone into the review folder - no rhyme or reason as to why. But I always appreciate you watching and commenting
As always, you get those “little grey cells” going. I’m going to miss my Sunday morning coffee with you and Nina. But nothing says I can’t save these to watch until Sunday. But since I’m here today...
Another top video your warm yet relaxed way of bringing pages to life is a joy to watch. The patchwork background you seemed to magically weave, each piece like a story or memory to capture and keep. It's so helpful and reassuring we don't need to be lucky owners of lots of expensive things to be creative. Your work always speaks volumes and draws us in. Great how you have little journal ready to keep all the scraps. Can't imagine you ever being at a loss as to what art you should do! Many thanks happy with new times just wish there were more.👏👏👏❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks so much for your kind comment Wendy - much appreciated. I am rarely at a loss for things to do but sometimes there are just so many things I'd like to do that it can become a little bit overwhelming and I can't decide what I want to do first. So, if I get to that point I find that if I just sit and glue scraps it fills the need to create and I can come back to other things with a clear mind when I'm ready. Thanks again :)
Thanks for all the inspiration Kylie. As I am in Australia I love the new posting time. Previously I didn't get your great videos until Sunday evening my time. Now I can craft while you're sleeping - very happy!
I love seeing such various types of masterboard ideas, and always your projects. I have only done one, a 2 sheet collage masterboard almost a year ago. YES, definitely vote for Saturday for the group challenge videos! I am on the US west coast, so they would be available early in the day for me. I often do my artsy projects on Saturday evenings, often until 3 AM, so being able to work on the group challenges during my best creative time would be awesome!!
Your masterboard and background is perfect, love the touch of gold, poor Nina had a mishap with her gold, but she sorted it out okay. I'm fine with the new time of releasing the video I just still watch it on a Sunday morning with my coffee. Sundays just wouldn't be the same with you and Nina. Tfs xo
Love your collage Masterboard and journal page, so nice to use up all those papers we tend to hoard! I personally love the new time, One could always choose to watch Sunday morning if they want! This will be a fun week again!💕🇨🇦
im normally crafting at this time on a saturday, so it works for me. However i normally watch you both on sunday morning, whilst im in bed with a big cup of coffee.... lol. Either way im happy. Stay safe x x x
Thank you so much Kylie, I really really love ❤️ this, it’s really really stunning and gorgeous too, and you and Nina, are my Sunday treat, but whenever I see you both, it’s a great treat for me. Those master boards are brilliant and so unpretentious too. My husband really doesn’t understand why I keep all this paper, for when I can use it. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags
I love the journal spread you created. I’ll be interested to see what more you do to it, if anything, as it looks great to me already. You’ve inspired me with the idea of filling whole journal pages with collage, rather then just curated and arranged specialty pieces. I like the idea of seeing your and Nina’s videos a bit sooner because it leaves me more time on the weekend to start a project before returning to my Monday work week. Beautiful work! Thank you for the inspiration.
Thanks so much Robert. I like the way you describe it. I'm afraid I don't do 'curated and arranged' very well or at least it's not my style - I enjoy the freedom of just gluing down. It's fairly random but I do sometimes actually stop and look at composition and balance of the page but I enjoy just seeing what unfolds and where I can then take it to. I think you are right though ... it could be left as is and it might well just sit there. :)
I always love watching you create master boards. It’s amazing how you take all those different bits and make a great background. And the one in your journal - wow! It’s fabulous just as is, but I can’t wait to see what yiu do with it one day.
I love collage! Your pieces are so fun and random but are great starting points. The art journal page was very interesting using the large gear papers. Can’t wait to see what you do next with these yummy papers. -Marsha from Texas
I just watched your video again Kylie, I love the bird it catches your eye straight away. The coloured board is so effective. I must be more brave and try ripping the pieces rather than cutting them perfectly straight each time. Old habits...from quilting where most of it is straight lines and neat joins! A small book with torn pieces would be a start, great idea. x
My message got interrupted earlier. I wanted to tell you that the two master boards turned out fabulously and that I love the spread in your journal. This time is fine. Basically, you are being generous with your time, so what ever you choose is fine by me. TFS. I did. God bless and stay safe.
These look fun Kylie. I can't wait to have a go. I love what you've already done in your journal. It already looks good. Thanks for sharing and inspiring x
