Hi NI forgot to say that last video with the abandoned Soo Line Bridge on the Tama Siding was a very beautiful bridge. I was struck by the straightness of the all the bolts and spikes. What a work of art. And a testament to the design is the longevity. What a beautiful bridge and built to last. They really knew what they were doing. So neat. I envision myself sitting on something like that fishing and just being part of it. Thank you 10X. ben/ michigan just a troll living under the bridge.
The days are shorter the evenings are chillier but the consists are pretty similar except for that first train with16 cars but only 3 gons it was fun to hear the authoritative voice "We're on our way up the hill" and they sure did move out. I was just looking at a tape shot in 1995 on the WC and those IC coal hoppers had just been reconditioned by the Centralia IL shops. Zoom forward and those shops are now closed and those cars are now being bumped into old tiei service
Thank you, Nancy, for this compilation of short videos of the Canadian National's L'Anse Local on 12 September 2024 and 17 September 2024. I enjoyed watching this video of the trains and the scenery in the L'Anse, Michigan area. (Post 18 September 2024 at 2318 CDT.)
