@@modelcarshouston I know... And in whole reality carbon-fibre panelled cars aren't actually metal either :) I think I have reservations for resin for they often don't contain any metal parts whatsoever. And then it begs to question - why not actually build a plastic kit? For metal kits are rare or they are just simplistic snap-on/s.
I ended up getting 4 NA2 NSX-Rs. 😁 Took FOREVER~~~ though. I like my NA1 NSX-R better. Side Note: I have that same issue with the openings not fully closing without an added push on pretty much all my composite AA models too, including these NSXs.
Great vid! I did end up buying almost all of the new release NSX-R's. I wish I bought some of the older release NSX's but I was a Subaru fan first. I'd love to see you do a Subaru Impreza 22b comparison from old release and new release.
i knew i should have bought a diecast AA aventador back a couple years ago when they were easily found for less than $200. now i gotta settle for a composite one at the same price since the diecast versions have skyrocketed and for good reason. nothing would please me more than finding a good deal on the 50th Anniversary edition to add to my other AA diecast collection but looks like I'll have to settle for the aventador s.
The new composite models are hit and miss, the jaguar e type lightweight is not on the same level as the signature series diecast e type, but the new Nsx type r looks great, and so does the Audi Quattro which I own
I am no expert. Just your average hobbyist / collector. Honestly I could care less about the doors of the newer model not closing properly on the first try as both are a display piece, not something one would be fiddling with constantly. So that, for me, perhaps not others, is of no consequence. I love the older, die-cast metal version; but I think the newer composite model might {???} be a bit nicer.
I like the old all diecast AAs!
Absolutely!
Absolutely. I have a rule of only getting 1/43 resin. Absolutely everything else needs to be die-cast.
pop up lights always a must. They need to come back
Pop Ups for the win!
pop-ups are overrated
Those are two different versions of the car.
Old version much better than the new ones 👍
Yellow NSX pop up lights beautiful 😍👌
Absolutely
I'm a pop up headlights NSX kinda fan. I really need to pick up the new NSX, despite that fact. 1/18 collector 9 times out of 10
Yes sir!
I love both version 😍😍😍 I really really want them.
Absolutely! The more the merrier!
The old yellow one is a true collectors piece. The new one is fancy plastic.
True, but the new is what will be at the forefront of how AA releases products now.

I need the older NA1 for my collection. Great vid my dude!!
Thank you! Good luck on your search!
The old one won because of pop up lights. Nice video.
Great video and more of like this comparison please!
How much did you pay for the NA2 version plus shipping?
Oh man that's the one you saw at the show. It was close to 300 or 325
@@modelcarshouston did you get that recently or that was while ago with that pricing

I would too but it was hard enough to get this one!

Tis the collectible hobby and how it works!
Excelent my friend
Thank you!!!
the new 1 is nice but I would want it in blue
They do have it in a Long Beach Blue Pearl.
@@modelcarshouston I would lv to see that
@@jerryhawk8434 for sure!
I want one but they're $600 😢
Old school all the way.
Old school because it's metal and not plastic. Yes I know it's diecast more or less pewter metal

I agree. I just love collecting so I don't mind these smaller difference in details. However, I think it's good that it is made aware for others.
New version is $450 USD
wtf..... lol
No comparison old model way way better
LIKE A YAGI of SABANNA

Yes this was just a small observation. It is still one of my favorite models. Haha
