Very cool! When you said you weren't going to be doing the elephants in your last vid I was thinking you should. I remember riding one as a kid somewhere, maybe Guam, and all I remember is that they stunk way worse than I expected. Parker got to play with one of those Giant turtles and it's funny that's pretty much all he can remember about the turtle. I couldn't help but wonder if the DJI Action 4 and selfie stick would end up getting mistaken for some sugar cane. That would have made for an awesome timelapse! I don't think many folks think about these types of scenarios and how an action cam is the best fit. Even if you got splashed, you'd want it to be an action cam. I'm reminded of the time Parker dropped my GoPro on one of the cruise ship slides and I used the footage as a transition. Travel is definitely soup for the soul. Can't wait for the next video.
Hey Tim, yeah...the Action 4 was definitely the right choice in this "Travel" scenario 😀 The elephants actually didn't have too strong of an aroma. Yeah, animals definitely can have a lasting effect on us. I'm glad I realized how foolish it would have been not to go to an elephant sanctuary 😂
50 years old?!! Gotta share some of those secrets with us man😂 ... Another great video, both cameras really do compliment each other well. Hope you do some more travel style vlogs in the near future.

Today I went back and tested the anti-flicker. 4K30FPS and 50Hz anti-flicker worked for the vast majority of lights, but not for a very small percentage. So to be on the safe side, it's still set to 4K25FPS and 50Hz anti-flicker.

Crazy how strong those elephants are, right? I was lucky enough to hand feed some baby elephants at a sanctuary before and they about ripped my arm off. 😂

The audio on the action 4 sounds so crisp .Is that the OA4’s internal microphone around the elephants or you are using an external one?

Thank you, for the most part it was the DJI Mic 2 external wireless setup. However, there were a few clips where I didn't have the Mic 2 turned on so it was coming from internal. Of course, a little audio tweaks in post does help too. Thank you for the kind words!

@@TravelingAhn I guess it was a good experience! The calm of these big animals with all this food around them is very impressive! If I set up an animal park with my sheeps, they'd step on everyone's toes to get food faster! ahahah :)
😂, wow that's so cool you have sheep! Yeah, Elephants are thankfully gentle giants! I noticed with dogs at least, the bigger they are the more gentle they tend to be (thankfully for us 😂)

In the scene where you feed the elephant you use Action 4 throughout and not Pocket 3, is that because Pocket 3 doesn't work well in this scenario?
Yeah, I would absolutey endorse the Action camera over the Pocket in this scenario. I feel like this is why Action camera's were created in the first place. The Pocket is a bit fragile when you are dealing with such huge animals!

Did you use the Mic 2 with the Action 4?
When I was with the Elephants inside the field beyond the gate, I was using the Mic 2. But most of the shots before were accidentally done with just the internal mics
