Paul, I started playing disc golf last year at 43 and I have watched dozens of videos to help me understand the game and improve. This is hands-down the best video I have seen. Having a world-class player walk us through a round, discuss disc selection, etc is HUGE. Watching pros do clinics and field work is nice but this is what has been missing. I hope more pros will follow your lead here. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Couldnt agree with you more! I'm in the same age range and been playing since '89, watched dozens of videos every month. This is a golden nugget for sure! Not just another video on how to throw a disc, or endless 3rd person commentary on a tournament, but more importantly how to approach the game better. The only other way to gain knowledge like this is to play with players much better than you. For me, that's hard to find in my rural area. Cheers to Paul and Foundation DiscGolf!

Who knew Paul could talk? This is the kind of thing that actually HELPS disc golfers. and coming from the world's greatest, you can bank on it. Thanks Paul! I sure hope you do more of these, please.

I know he talks, I was being coy. Any time you watch his latest videos with Hannah, she does almost ALL the talking. Just a poor attempt for me to be funny. I know Paul, and he is quiet, but will talk all you want if you talk first :))

I really appreciate how Paul discusses his thoughts of what disc, type of throw and outcome of all the throws. The whys and why nots. This is honestly one of the best instructional videos on disc golf I've seen. I will take his instructions on the mental game and incorporate that into the physical game and become a better player. Thank you very much Paul and Foundation Disc Golf.

Rewatching old vids like this. It cool seeing what goes through his head from tee to basket and basket to tee. Also remembering playing this course way back when and him throwing a putter on hole 2 was me throwing a driver.

I got Hooked on DiscGolf 20 months ago at the age of 69 while visiting my Son in Utah. The biggest factor helping to improve my game has been "PRACTICE" and being open to Suggestions from My Son and Friends along my Journey to Improve. Watching Paul's Practice Video has given rise to a much better way to grow my understanding of the different aspects in to playing and raising my game. Thanks PAUL and Foundation.

This is the most I've ever enjoyed a disc golf video. Whoever gets pros to do this this year, especially on courses we haven't seen repeatedly as fans, is going to be on the cutting edge. This is a missing element of coverage I'm not even sure we realized was missing.

I appreciate it, Paul! Anytime you guys make these videos breaking down strategic ways of getting closer and closer to the basket is awesome. Being a rec player, i have found tons of improvement by watching vids like these and talking to other players. I now spend a bit more time with each shot, working on my accuracy constantly, and scouting out the hole from my lie more and mapping out a plan for attacking it. I like your bit on percentages. Some times the risk on a lower percentage shot can be worth it for a bigger win if you need it in the game, but choosing the higher percentage shot is smart golf and increases your chance on success in the long run. Like in many games, if you have the resources (strokes on other players in this case) you can risk bigger or if you are in a position where you don't have much to lose you can also risk bigger on a shot choice, but to maintain a solid position in the game keeping to the known path just makes sense. These are things that just watching you guys play helps me to think about. Keep up the cool vids and good luck on the new season, Paul!

Your point about using repetitive holes to your advantage is insightful. I feel like a lot of players have the mentality that they should forget each shot as soon as they let it go, when in reality, you should be capitalizing on what you're doing right during that round and trying to make the adjustment to what you're doing wrong. Great video, gives a lot to think about!

Thanks so much Paul & Foundation DiscGolf. I love these personal insights to a round of golf by any pro, but especially Paul. While you can spectate a round, you can't ask why this or why that. Little things which I'm sure are obvious to Paul now (take the most predictable shot was it?) aren't always obvious :) I loved the conversation about Paul liking to be aggressive vs lying up. I could 'like' everybody's comments, I agree with them all, but another "do more of these!" comment is always good, right? Wishing Paul some better luck in 2019 - some of those spit-outs have been brutal - and now I'll go click on the Foundation Discs link like a good boy and shop for plastic.

Great point on choosing percentage shots vs. trying to park it. During casual rounds I almost always try the tougher shot to see it I can park it. It's more exciting that way! That said, if I was preparing to compete (as the video discusses), I'd want to try and reverse my shot selection to favor those higher percentage shots.
