Even Ryu's new theme is Japanese based like his old theme and that took a loooong time for people to have a nolstagia feel for that. People will get used to these new tunes as well.

Dee Jaya character design is wild, in your face, fun, exciting, and upbeat and this song is mellow, chill, relaxed and not Dee Jay. Not to mentioned everything about Dee Jay itself: the new redesign,the stage,his new gameplay he's like a completely new version of himself while staying to his true self. the music for SF6 has grown on me so much, i just love how they're willing to really shake things up and not fall back on nostalgia like alot of SFV themes. those old songs are great but this really does feel like the next step for Street Fighter ever since Third Strike

YESSSS the one problem I had with Dee Jay’s theme was that there was a lack of reggae considering he’s Jamaican and his theme was more Latin than anything. Once I heard Dhalsim’s theme I knew they weren’t going to mess up Dee Jay’s. Great job Capcom
Spot on. They're stepping away from "national" clichés and it definitely sounds like a LOT of work and research has been put into the soundtrack. So far in SF6, they all matched the character's culture and the character's personality to a T. We're waiting for the stage themes and the next one has to be JP (this is going to be a HEAVY, REGAL one for sure) and the unannounced characters (OMG this is going to be a looong way to June). Really fighting game composers are unsung heroes.

This is the the closest to reggae Dee Jay has ever had and I’m Jamaican myself. I’m happy that they changed Dee Jay cause this is more a of a good representation of someone from Jamaica than before
