I love how Street Fighter 6 truly feels like a sequel to Third strike, this sounds like what the composers of Third Strike would have done for Chun Li had they made a sequel in the early 2000's.
Capcom is REALLY trying to keep us hype. Their communication has been so on point for SF6 its like a different approach to the past and I am all for it. I hold reservations for the game itself on release but I appreciate how much content they are putting out there. Good on them.
I mean I dunno if they planned this from the beginning or if they are just on disaster clean up. Ya know because the games roster leaked entirely. Normally fighting games build hype slowly over time by releasing how fighters look and whos going to be in it. They dont have that marketing option anymore. They may very well be releasing so much now as damage control. Which is smart.

They aren't even slightly tweaked from that concept art from what I can tell. It looks like those are the chosen finished designs. It's not even showing multiple looks for characters just one for each.

This music is straight up 3rd Strike Vibe chuns stage. I remember when I first heard chuns stage in sf3 3rd strike it struck me as weird but in the instant I just grew on me massive. And this, this right here is doing the exact same thing which is nuts!! I love it!!

Since this game is tribute to third strike, they’re doing what that game did and give them a different theme. Because third strike gave them all themes that sounded nothing like sf2 themes. So I will be sure they give them their original theme later when the game comes out….
I definitely miss the SF4 soundtrack. Those themes were an awesome modernisation of classic themes! You could hum to those, but these new ones not so much. The melody just isnt that memorable or hummable if you know what I mean.....
Themes aren’t as impactful as they used to since they did away giving every character their own personal stages in SF4 and SF5. Hope they bring back character stages SF6 to go with new themes.

There are some people that cannot understand the direction of this music. And it's sad. Stuck in nostalgia.. like trust me I love the old themes too but sometimes change is good. Look at 3rd strike for example even some of the old vs series games characters have different themes. And we had remixes of old themes in sfiv and v why would you want that a 3rd time in a row. These themes are trying to show you the growth of the characters and you can literally hear it. I love the direction this game is going with the music. There has not been one street fighter game I didn't like the music.

What a theme. Love the six note intro and synth tones throughout. Description says that it reflects her new philosophical approach to life. Seems fitting for the mature strongest woman in the world who runs kung fu classes, and has become a well-loved member of the local community.
I love the subliminal messages behind this theme not only does it show chuns growth but it also shows her determination to be better everyday for her adopted daughter and herself and side note at 2:06 I LOVE THAT PART
You can literally do Lighting Kicks, and do a Kikosho Special in the air just like in Marvel vs Capcom. I'm really glad that Nakayama-san, Matsumoto-san, and the team are picking up ideas from other fighting games. It really shows their enthusiasm towards the genre.
I like how despite her age, her status as the hero who saves the world from many criminal syndicate and a master of kung fu, deep inside she’s still the kawaii girl many years ago
I am just stunned by the devotion to style in this game. Feels like Street Fighter has its own identity again. I very much loved the character art style in SFV, but the overall games identity felt a bit understated / disjointed. This one is shaping up to be very memorable.

Much as I’d love that, I don’t see it happening ironically for the same reason I love SFIII and it’s music: it’s about moving on. SF3 was the new generation, and for 23 years we regressed with SFIV and SFV, music became remixes of SFII themes and such. I think this game, like 3, is going to do it own thing with the music. And as much as I love the SFIII series the most, I’m all about not contradicting the thesis of progressing forward.

I know a lot of Street Fighter fans are gonna be like "Oh, not iconic enough" or "I would have preferred just another remix of the old theme" but honestly, I am HAPPY to hear that Chun-Li has a new theme that isn't another remix of SF2 music. And it sounds good. It also kinda sounds slightly similar to her Marvel VS Street Fighter theme too, which I also love a lot. I hope all the returning characters will get new original themes too (without relying on certain riffs from SF2/SFA1 & 2 musical pieces)

Now that i have played a couple matches with chun-li and this theme you can really feel the sound design match er gameplay everytime i crouch or get into a low stance and that music hits just right its the sickest feeling ever. This is definitely by far one of the top tracks out of all of them
IMO out of all the new character themes out so far, Chun-Li's theme feels the most recognizable thanks to how closely it feels to her themes from previous games she's been in, *way* more than the other themes in SF6 so far.

This is so good. Subtle references from Chuns original theme, instead of a forced remix that tries so hard to push a 30 year old track into modern electro-pop. This is what 3rd Strike would have sounded like if it was released today.
You've seen those comments too, huh? Yeah, if anything the closest thing you can get of a track that doesn't change much is Honda's and even then it's still produced and mixed very well!
Okay, on the one hand, it's cool that we're getting new themes for each character as opposed to remixes/covers of the classics. But on the other, I'm personally not quite feeling this one. Perhaps it will grow on me. I hope so. Plus, I am sure with DLC, we'll be given access to all the classic BGMs we all love too and tons of characters not on the initial roster yet. So I am definitely thrilled, finally, a sequel to Street Fighter III, and I hope to hear more themes from the game before it releases.

My favourite theme in the game. I grew up playing Dead Or Alive, Soul Calibur and Tekken and I played just a little bit of SF on Super Nintendo and PS1 back in the day. I finally decided to give a chance to a new Street Fighter and I fell in love. AMAZING GAME!! Thank you CAPCOM, now I'm a fan of both Resident Evil and Street Fighter ❤
Interesting enough, this song has a lot of parallels with her Street Fighter EX theme, Spinning Bird, same tonal, more or less the same base structure, with some edit and splicing, it's possible to swap solos and harmonies from one and play on the other.

This is so good. Subtle references from Chuns original theme, instead of a forced remix that tries so hard to push a 30 year old track into modern electro-pop. This is what 3rd Strike would have sounded like if it was released today.

Okay, on the one hand, it's cool that we're getting new themes for each character as opposed to remixes/covers of the classics. But on the other, I'm personally not quite feeling this one. Perhaps it will grow on me. I hope so. Plus, I am sure with DLC, we'll be given access to all the classic BGMs we all love too and tons of characters not on the initial roster yet. So I am definitely thrilled, finally, a sequel to Street Fighter III, and I hope to hear more themes from the game before it releases.

I grew up playing Dead Or Alive, Soul Calibur and Tekken and I played just a little bit of SF on Super Nintendo and PS1 back in the day. I finally decided to give a chance to a new Street Fighter and I fell in love. AMAZING GAME!!

Interesting enough, this song has a lot of parallels with her Street Fighter EX theme, Spinning Bird, same tonal, more or less the same base structure, with some edit and splicing, it's possible to swap solos and harmonies from one and play on the other.
