Jarod is unmatched. Rarely is such charisma and humor matched with incredible knowledge of the game. Could listen to him for hours! Definitely ordering the book!
I'm so used to seeing you guys with a video call split bw you two that for the first 5 seconds my brain could not comprehend that you guys are in the same room lol
As an American Pakistani living in USA since 3 decades now this is my POV. India or any other nation watches and plays other sport also. Cricket is just highlighted due to very high Indian presence on social media. Football is biggest in England but they never win anything or footy is very much restricted to Australia and somewhat China maybe. Baseball is USA/Japan centric. Basketball is USA/Philippines stuff. Badminton/table tennis is India/China/Indonesia. Tennis is major slams and restricted to big 4 only pretty much and an elite sport though i love watching it. Football is nothing without European leagues and very similar for other sports like sprinting means Jamaica. Cricket podcasters need to change their POV and appreciate every sport. People rate squash very high but it is boring to watch and is dominated by Egypt. Archery/Track and field/swimming(apart from artistic swimming) and similar sport are unwatchable, include chess in which India is very good. Volleyball is a very much global sport in every aspect. Rugby is very much restricted to countries where the temperature doesn't gets too high. Cricket podcasters, analysts and fans need to start looking at things that way. As far as Pak cricket is concerned it is in shambles.
@@binitasahoo3872 I work in hospitality tech, i have toured france and ireland many times and nobody cares about rugby very much. Not the primary sport. Football and rugby are rival sports. Ireland is just hurling, gaelic football and lacrosse. btw afl is not rugby, Don't say that to any aussie or any rugby fan please
Man, that multi-substitution point makes perfect sense. It will get rid of mediocre part time bowlers . Imagine getting quality Cricket for all the overs. It will sell to new cricket fans as well because I can't imagine someone new to cricket enjoy part time bowl.
I think sometimes people don't run realise that apart from football every sport is reliant on a few countries and often less countries than cricket, cricket is the biggest in india, pak, Afghanistan,Bangladesh, about to be biggest in Nepal, second biggest in aus ,eng,nz, sa,its spread to a good amount of countries and yes not as many as football, but it's easily the second biggest sport in the world
A long shot but I'd say it. jarod could write about the history of cricket like CLR James did at some point. Gideon is good too, but Jarod is somehow closer to the man. He certainly makes a LOT of sense and backs his stuff up with solid analysis.
@Behram: Check out young Bangladeshi left arm medium pacer Qazi Onik. I think he played the U19 world cup with the Gill-Shaw generation. Thank me later 😁😁

France, Ireland , Southafrica, New Zealand plays very good rugby.
Regarding footy, it is nothing but more of a concocted version of rugby.

@@techgeek7410 I just said that afl is a concocted or more exaggerated form of rubgy, just few things are changed and that's afl for you

28:33 hahahhahaha mere dil ki baat ki 😭😭😂
Can’t believe he doesn’t like Parmas. I’m literally going to have one tonight. Sounds like Jarrod hasn’t had a good one!
I would say Afghanistan has the most different cricketing identity
33:33 really bro come on
Hahaha Nazar Muhammad jumped out of window

Charles McCartney batting average 41.78. Bowling average 27.55
Jaiswal & Gill will be the new Rohit & Kohli
not so sure about Gill in t20s. I'm not a CSK Fan but Ruturaj's style is more like Kohli's.
Jaiswal will replace Rohit for sure
He is a beast same as Rohit
