@@SauronBaggins69 By War Thunder's logic at least, yes it does. On the stat card of the INFARED missile it lists ECCM instead of IRCCM as it should, so leave the guy alone.
Russian Gatewidth IRCCM is much more potent the closer it is, so I wou;d recommend you to stick with the R-73s for closer engagements, they pull hard and they don't fly too fast making them Ideal, plus they almost never get flared when fired at ranges below 1km
Lol this missile isn’t meant to be used this way. It’s an amazing missile. Haven’t you played the mig23? This thing with the IRST will be worse than the aim54 spam. No warning, just smack!
@@Jazzyo7 that's irrelevant to what this video is showcasing. the stat card for the r27et states that it should have ECCM, and yet it appears they did not model this at all. so this missile is effectively useless compared to the r27er.
@@flynntaggart8549 A few clips near the end show it's ECCM pretty well. Ignoring all the ones firing at front aspect and at way too close a range (both pretty bad scenarios for the missile), it's ECCM works pretty well, my friend never had any issues with them on release. You have to remember though they're more of a sneak attack missile with a crazy long range. Yes the ER is theoretically better as a RADAR missile, but with everyone ball dragging on the ground the ET's are not a bad pick. The main issue in the video was firing it has really bad angles or way too close for a long range missile, the ECCM would probably handle a lot better if the missile was fired more at range.
