Just to let you know, the SL2-s firmware update is version 4.0, not 5.0. 5.0 is only for the SL2. Same features, just different numbers for each camera. Also, at least here in the U.S., we've had it for about a month now.
Correct ... Just checked and it does work ... V4 for SL2 s offer same thing the new lenses management and the perspective correction with both JPeg AND DNG files on witch you can see the original shot. And yes Version 4 for SL2 S has been released over a month ago ... Thanks Andrews for the info I thougth it was not the same !
Really love your chanel and all your infos ... But It look like the V5 for SL2 S is not yet available on the french Leica Site ...it is a shame as the new features lookk greats .... So I'l have to wait I think ...
I am not sure, sorry. Although the SL2-S has really good video functionality, Leica is still more specialized in still images and not so much in video.
Super logical, clear, easy to navigate with two ways to navigate to high level/frequently used features: 1) single touchscreen menu or via 2) deep dive into full menu.
Fantastically clear and succinct! Many thanks for the video!
Thanks Tom.
Great video Math! Content clear and concise.
Many thanks, appreciate the positive feedback.
Math again with another awesome instructional video!!! Leica needs to put u on the payroll...
Ha! I would love to get paid by Leica but so far they don't, lol :)
Excellent, as always!
Thanks!
Great video. Can you give some examples of the usefulness of perspective control?
The lens selection menu is already in previous firmware versions.
Hello, can you try the old but gold Leica R 50mm f1.4 summilux? I’m loving it on my gfx
Hello, may I ask how I can change the values on the VIVID mode setting? I feel the contrast is flat and wanted to increase the value. Thank you

La version 5.0 n'est pas dispo sur le site allemand non plus.
@@WFSauer en effet j'avais aussi vérifié ... 🙂
For the SL2-S I think its version 4, at least I saw this in the comments. I should have checked before the video and mentioned, my fault.
And many thanks for the kind feedback, Jerome.
Any interest in testing out the l mount teleconverter options? from sigma and Panasonic mostly
Danke Math
Hi, do you think we'll ever get open gate video, for anamorphic? I'm about to buy S1H and I really don't want to!
I am not sure, sorry. Although the SL2-S has really good video functionality, Leica is still more specialized in still images and not so much in video.
When I buy a new SL2 will I have to update each one as in 2.0 then 3.0 then 4.0 and then 5.0? Or can I just update straight to 5.0?
You can upgrade from whatever version right to the newest firmware
I always know where to come to get the updates explained
Ha! Yes - I try my best to get my hands on these new features :)
The Leica menu system seems to be very logical in comparison to some other camera software.
Indeed Aaron, the menu is very much streamlined and you find everything you are looking for much quicker than on other digicams.

Version 5.0 ist leider nur für die Leica SL2 verfügbar!
It is Version 4 for the SL2-S with the same functions. I should have mentioned that. I have only an SL2 and not an SL2-S.
