    You know Guillermo and Doug are good friends because only a good friend could describe you, in front of an audience, as, "Blessed with no shoulders and no ass."

    The way Guillermo talks about things...i don't have words. My soul just relates and connects to everything he's saying as if it was a well known melody. Love him and his love for movies and humanity. It gives me hope and faith!

    Guillermo del Toro is a genius. Such a deep thinker. Doug Jones recognizes this completely.

    The fact that Doug Jones did not receive a Best Leading Actor nomination in the Academy Awards for his amazing performance in The Shape of Water is a travesty.

    • @WalterLiddy
      @WalterLiddy 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I doubt it will ever happen. For one thing, the story doesn't lend itself well to the movie medium, and for another, there are so many popular films derived from it as source material/inspiration that an adaptation would inevitably seem like a knockoff of the knockoffs. It would be nice, but I really don't see it happening.

      @@Ch4os4ever well...he was trained as a mime and a contortionist. Have you ever seen a fat contortionist? He is tall and slender as mkst contortionist are. Plus having a strong and extremely slender frame makes it really easy to model creatures around him. His body doesn't interfere with the image the artist/director, etc have for the creature's shape. So he's likely maintained this body type because it's ideal for what he does. He's a damn genius at what he does. I've rewatched movies just to watch him move. From Pan's Labrynth to Discovery, he's so skilled at what he does.

    Guillerma Del Torro is a genious!
    I agree with him when he states that his best stories comme in his deepest moments in your life.
    My best ideas comme from dark times, I turn darkness into light. I grow out of chalanges
    I agree with his statement that we are all grey, or multicolored. Not black and white.
    We cant be captured in a fiew words or actions.
    Love is listening, understanding, respect and forgiveness.

    I do not agree with Del Toro's atheist and liberal beliefs anymore, as I'm now an ex-atheist who was raised by a moderate and far left liberal and I now am conservative and acknowledge God's existence and His documentation of history via His word (The Bible), and I do not care much for him as a person, but I do admire Del Toro's determination to create films and of those films, my favourite Del Toro's films are "Pan's Labyrinth" and "Crimson Peak". As for Doug Jones, while I do not agree with some of his beliefs, he is absolutely a joy and a delight and an honour to speak with. Such a smart guy with such a kind heart - I have to hand it to him. Jones deserves far more praise and credit than he gets, but perhaps in a way, that is best because he gets to enjoy his real personal life with his wife and family in anonymity while giving these beautiful and memoral performances, which are on par with the greats - including some of my favourites like Lon Chaney Sr, Boris Karloff, Al Hedison, etc. To both of them, well done on both of your hard work. :)

      It actually sort of does, it’s just that for some reason people outside Latin America don’t know that as part of the Western World (which is where white people live), there’s plenty of white people in countries such as Mexico.
