Thank you for the video, Tom! It's great! My numbers with FreeStyle Libre 3 are getting better every day. I still have ups and downs, but generally, my life is much better with it. I'm from Ukraine, and I ask the person with T1D from Germany to order me Libre 3. Thankfully I can enjoy this great device.
Thanks (from India) Tom for bringing so many informative videos for us. I recently bought a very cheap deal here in New Delhi. I bought 10 Libre pro sensors(Euro 27 each) and Ambrosia night rider waterproof for Euro 170. Used Apple 5 watch 40 mm cellular second hand for Euro 190 for my T1d daughter. Now she does not need to carry the phone anymore. Saving a ton now. Libre 3 price is more than double. What do you say?
Thanks for sharing my friend! I am surprised by the 27 EUR price. That is very cheap and a red flag for me. Would be careful with this kind of distribution channel (as it is most likely some kind of "under the table" distribution) but if it works for you I am very happy to hear that! Thanks, Tom. I just subscribed to your channel. Your videos are very helpful and informative. You are making a difference in people's lives. A job well done but it is too expensive tom. I am using a libre pro sensor with my blucon nightrider by ambrosia because it is so affordable and easy to use and they are providing CGMs in Pan India. In this, we have lots of features like food insight and sharing reports to the doctor without a physical meeting, and my family members are also able to check my readings at their own place. So I am happy with my purchase.

One of the other downsides that you didn't mention is that insurance companies won't cover the Freestyle 3 if it is not approved in your country yet. That is a game changer for me.
Hello Tom I love your videos on freestyle Libre 2 I'm from Tennessee in the USA I am a type 2 diabetic I just got my freestyle Libre 2 the other day thank you so much Tom
In sweden the diabetic nurse on the local health care center order freestyle and it is free. Not every one can get it you have got a serious diabetic diagnos really need one usally when you must use insulin. And the sensors are free too😊
I’m still on the 14-day version of the original Libre. Now that the 3 has been approved here in the USA, I… might just wait until I can buy it at my nearest pharmacy.
Also, remember that the device needs to be next to your cell phone because it uses Bluetooth but it does have an eight hour memory so in theory the cell phone needs to be next to the sensor once every eight hours. Oddly enough, it has not been certified for use in salt water! It’s dumb that we need a prescription for this in the US!
Another important thing not mentioned in the video, is that some medical professionals might not be able to give medical advice based on the readings given from a libre 3 because it’s not an approved device. I asked a nurse educator about the libre 3 and she said until it is approved here, she can’t give any advice because it could cost her medical license.
mop man, it will not be delivered globaly .. worked with medical devices companies for 20 years.. they are interested about regulations and the bigest markets .. read more money .. never interested to pay those fucking regulators .. wich in many countries are some frauds politicians families .. anyhow will have more luck if these sould be sold as non medical devices . I will buy them even at higher price ..but no ... also their android apple app are country locked and you need and account witch is country locked .. imagine how uch time and money to block .. sounds like a person that knew he might kill people in the other countries and said " yes I know and I will do this because I can" ..
Do not change the region in app store!!!. You purchases will not be visible in account anymore. Better simply log out from your current app store account (not iCloud). And log in in another (german for example). I have 3 accounts and i can easily change them any time.

Is there a way for me to use the Libre 3 in India, or are there any alternative options available that would work with my local device?
I have the FreeStyle Libre 3 downloaded from the Apple UK store. I have an FreeStyle Libre account with an UK address, but they don't offer the 3 version as of yet. Will the sensors purchased in Germany work with that software from the UK store? Thanks.

I did all the steps you informed in the Video. However, when I come to the final step for purchasing, there was no Credit card method somehow but there is a method called Sofortüberweisung. I am stuck. Anybody has an idea?
How to take a shower and secure the sensor? I got mine since 3 days and I do shower really quick but the sticker that is around sensor got wet anyway. I’m afraid it can fall off.

It looks like it has been launched in the U.K. on prescription only, not able to purchase yet and also only Android supported app with IOS out in the coming months. Why are they doing this to us??!!!! Ggrrrrrrrrrrrr!
Thanks for the feedback! Apologies for the confusion about the UK. The video might have sounded it is available for purchase which is not the case as you correctly noted. Can you not use the EU approved app that we use with German sensors by any chance?
Thing that annoys me is my Libre2 costs $75 (€71) WITH insurance. The German OFF THE SHELF next generation costs less than my old gen. 🤬 I am being forced to switch to Dexcom G6 because it is the only kind that works with a pump anyway. They apparently cost a LOT more here in the US. My insurance is dragging their heels in allowing me to have it. God only knows when the G7 will be available here and able to sync with the pump. When I switched from the Libre to the Libre2 I had to use a $80 reader for over a year because the FDA had not yet allowed the cell phone ap. Apparently at least in part because they wanted to make sure no one tried to hook the cheaper Libre up to their pump.
my main reasson to want this is... i'am using now freestyle 1 with miaomiao xdrip+ with custom app xdrip+ itself and custom smartwatch custom room to make graphics on smart watch, but, it is all too crazzy and work, but, hard to deal with... libre 3 sadly is too expensive to me right now 60 euros is not possible to me, and i need pay for the package as well, not gona happens... considering i'am paying 270 reais in my sensor 60 euros is not that expensive, but, i need the delivery and that makes it out of my monetary conditions... Bolsonaro approves a law where after a medical device got approved by FDA or CE and others regulators, just need a simple signeture to be done, approved here, but, i not sure if this helps, i not trust any politiician, even those that i vote on, they all just want our money in the end
so they got the EU approval .. BUT are selling only in the "lucky" EU countries. WTF is this ? this product should not say it received the EU mark only 6 countries mark .. why could not allow to buy this as a NON medical device .. I worked for medical products in the past indirectly .. all sharks and money lovers.
Fasting five days on the water will let your body produce stem cells that can help you to cure diabetes, but ask your doctor first before doing such a thing. You should be careful when you break your fast too. just DYOR
Guys, don’t listen to this guy. He is telling you to break many international laws and compliance. There are so many liability issues here. Please take this video down as soon as possible before it gets reported authorities
@@TypeOneTalks sure. Even though at the end of the video you are telling all folks risks involved in following your advice, there are lot of liability issues per different countries laws, regulations, insurance, insurance fraud and many more things. This is medical device and following your advice someone can damage their health irreversibly and can sue you or manufacturers, so please take down the video and let people follow laws and wait until the device is available in their country
Really? I mean, reeeally??? I suppose all the options like Miao Miao (? might have the name wrong, sorry!) are also life threatening then? I think the whole thing about life with Type 1 is that we HAVE to be our own specialists, unless you're lucky enough to have 24/7 access to a diabetes consultant. So why would we not have the good sense to know what is safe for each of us as individuals? Tom gives very clear, helpful advice on Type 1 but never tells us what to do, he merely offers suggestions. I suggest, rather than take down this video, you take yourself away, Bob
@@SanataniJoe Thank you for the feedback. I feel it is still not specific enough. Re: insurance, this is not relevant as insurance is not discussed here and is completely irrelevant. Re: Advice. It is clearly stated this is not medical advice in the description. Re: Regulation, this is explained in the video. Each country has their own regulations and is made clear to the viewer. Re: Different country laws… That’s a very generic term…. What do you mean specifically? Please explain in more detail.
The device is a sensor used for information, not treatment. It is used to determine if you should need to do a blood test before any treatment which is standard for any diabetic. (BTW I have been a very well controlled diabetic for 46 years, Use a Medtronic CGM and pump - the latest and am not that impressed by value for money spent). I have a long history of testing insulin for big Pharma going back 40 years. My experience with this vendor in SA has been one of disgust recently when enquiring about Libre 3 here. They feel that we are merely not a financially viable country to use the version 2 or 3 sensors they produce (scary since their version 3 device is still cheaper than my current one and appears to be more accurate). I challenged them on why produce the older versions instead of only the new ones and that got ignored with a meaningless statement that really annoyed me. The problem with big Pharma, it is all about the profits as confirmed in my discussion with them (was wondering if they just have large stocks of the old stuff or is politics involved?). We as the customers, provide all the information they use for the treatment solutions they develop, and then we still have to pay exorbitant prices, and they play God as to whom gets the test results and when. Tom shares his experience with people and that is more important for a lot of people than anything, especially when people are new to our condition. I know from experience how badly some medical people explain the condition to new patients. Diabetes is all about knowing where your glucose levels are heading, then knowing exactly what it is now, and then confirming with a blood test before deciding on a treatment action. Diabetes is a life threatening condition if not treated correctly, so any device that helps us to do that efficiently and cost effectively should be made available to as many as possible. This device is merely one of those items that can help diabetics control their glucose levels. So why should it be withheld from anyone? Thank you Tom, for your efforts to help the community. You certainly have my support.

@@TypeOneTalks hey,big question:Can i use libre 3 app from US app store with the sensor from Germany?
Libre 2 =14 days How many days libre 3 will be?? Thanks
same 14
Doing this for long time out of Hungary
I have 10 censors from Libre 2 and they don’t work in the us.
I lost money and they are expired so be careful who ever buys this. Life in Germany is better
here in America the healthcare is expensive…. Can’t wait to live in berlin again next year ❤️❤️❤️
app download dont work
Hearty thanks. :)
Does anyone from the US want to buy Libre 2 with or without insurance?
It looks like it has been launched in the U.K. on prescription only, not able to purchase yet and also only Android supported app with IOS out in the coming months. Why are they doing this to us??!!!! Ggrrrrrrrrrrrr!
Thanks for the feedback! Apologies for the confusion about the UK. The video might have sounded it is available for purchase which is not the case as you correctly noted. Can you not use the EU approved app that we use with German sensors by any chance?
@@TypeOneTalks I did try in the past but got nowhere… I’ll wait until it is released for purchase then I’m assuming I’ll ditch Dexcom for Libre 3!
Gracias desde Chile!!!
Or book and Air BnB and deliver to the address you will be staying at. Perfect excuse for a holiday 🙂
Ah, very smart!!
I am type 1 but i dont use this equipment because this is very expensive in my conutry
Same in Europa.
@@Bubaloo1977 where in europe?

Thing that annoys me is my Libre2 costs $75 (€71) WITH insurance. The German OFF THE SHELF next generation costs less than my old gen. 🤬
I am being forced to switch to Dexcom G6 because it is the only kind that works with a pump anyway.
Not trust able use strip's its better and accurate I used both 30 to 50 different showing you try and see differences
Big like 👍
my main reasson to want this is... i'am using now freestyle 1 with miaomiao xdrip+ with custom app xdrip+ itself and custom smartwatch custom room to make graphics on smart watch, but, it is all too crazzy and work, but, hard to deal with... libre 3 sadly is too expensive to me right now 60 euros is not possible to me, and i need pay for the package as well, not gona happens... considering i'am paying 270 reais in my sensor 60 euros is not that expensive, but, i need the delivery and that makes it out of my monetary conditions... Bolsonaro approves a law where after a medical device got approved by FDA or CE and others regulators, just need a simple signeture to be done, approved here, but, i not sure if this helps, i not trust any politiician, even those that i vote on, they all just want our money in the end
Its to much expensive i,sensor is 55 EUR and maschine to read sensor is 90 EUR.
Thank you for the feedback. Just to clarify, FSL 3 does not come with the reader, you need to have the phone app to read data.
@@TypeOneTalks I dont ask which its but when she tell me prise i said bye bye 😉
Alguém do Brasil conseguiu comprar? Mano que pais atrasado maldito.
Infelizmente não e é impossivel achar aqui qualquer um que não seja o libre 1
so they got the EU approval .. BUT are selling only in the "lucky" EU countries. WTF is this ? this product should not say it received the EU mark only 6 countries mark .. why could not allow to buy this as a NON medical device .. I worked for medical products in the past indirectly .. all sharks and money lovers.
😂😂😂
Fasting five days on the water will let your body produce stem cells that can help you to cure diabetes, but ask your doctor first before doing such a thing. You should be careful when you break your fast too. just DYOR
Guys, don’t listen to this guy. He is telling you to break many international laws and compliance. There are so many liability issues here. Please take this video down as soon as possible before it gets reported authorities
Could you be more specific please? I would hate to break any laws or regulations.
What are you talking about? Tom gives accurate and useful information. He helps people a lot. Your comment is inappropriate.
I tried but I got error code/message: “CRC502”.
