Brian, it's been fun watching haiden from the 65 all the way up to this. From what I've seen, as Haiden moves up through the levels he always learned quickly and was willing to adapt and fix things to stay at the top. I think he's gonna continue to get better with each race, and next year they better watch out cause at the least he'll be a contender!
I’ve never followed the whole Deegan thing due to an excessive amount of not giving a toss but I do remember seeing a clip from a few years back where they set up a pole on a berm and gradually moved it further and further over, increasing the bike and rider angle each time and the kid was unbelievable …completely horizontal! I remember thinking …boy if THAT makes it into a race! 😳
Railing the berm like that is some next generation riding, pretty incredible. Should play some clips of Deegan Senior riding in 97 - the sport has really evolved!

Can’t really say that, this kids a huge name in the sport and probably more eyes would’ve been watching him than any other rider that whole weekend. I’m pretty confident this kid would’ve had a lot of pressure and high expectations for himself and by fans but he just handled it well.
Every interview I saw from him before and after the race he said he had high hoped of a top 10. Which for a first pro race is still pretty high expectations. But his consistency in that race got him a 4th, sitting in a good spot for when a few of the front runner started making fatigued mistakes towards the end.
