According to recent Stastics Rwanda is still one of the poorest & least developed countries in Africa in terms of HDI, Economy, PER CAPITA, Technology, and Infastructure development. Rwanda is not leading in ANYTHING It's still a "low income least developed nation" putting it FAR behind Egypt, Algeria, Morroco, Nigeria, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Cape Verde, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, REPUBLIC OF Congo, Botswana, Namibia, South Africa, Kenya, Seychelles, and Mauritius which are all "Middle Income Developing Nations" or "Upper Middle Income newly Industrialized Nations".

You don't know what you are talking about. Rwanda is the fruit of the West. The West loots Congo minerals take them to Rwanda refinery then they are ready to go to the world as clean bloodless minerals, in fact is what the same West call "money laundering" except this time it is minerals. Without Congo minerals Rwanda is nothing, they only have tea and coffee. Those shiny buildings you see are just offices for multinationals doing business in Rwanda, go to where people live you won't say again what you are saying.

I also want to point out that ten years ago Rwanda drop the french language and has made a full commitment to KiSwahili even making it their official language alongside Kinyarwanda. I believe this has significantly helped strengthen their relationship with fellow Swahili speaking nations of Kenya, Tanzania, Burundi, and Uganda further unifying the region. This along with how the policies within are unifying under a common Rwandan identity, minimizing tribal associations and prioritizing Rwandan nationalism. What makes Rwanda special compared to most successful countries is their ingenuity to work around the Challenges and dilemmas they went through as a country that is relatable to many African nations if not worse(genocide, tribalism, etc...). The system they created is where the inspiration lies they are more efficient with the little number of resources they have and odds against them (being landlocked, densely populated, huge population that is not knowledge-based) yet are able to produce tremendous results in various sectors. Imagine other countries like Kenya, Nigeria, or South Africa that have bigger populations that are more educated, more resources, more money, and have fewer challenges like being landlocked and densely populated. if those countries had a similar approach like Rwanda in all of their sectors they would be more likely to be first world countries that would benefit the rest of Africa especially coming up with the money for projects in other African countries that benefit everyone.

Instead of looking for flaws, or manufacturing faults, which don’t even exist in their system, or outrightly, condemning them, we should be applauding their success and studying it, so that we can learn and copy those aspects that fit our different unique situations.
That’s what distinguishes a wise person from a fool.

As an African, I am extremely happy to have a country like Rwanda as part of my continent because this country tells the world what we can do in Africa. The major problem faced by countries like Ghana is negative politics and corruption. Western democracy is ruining us. Even British PM Boris Johnson is not fully practicing it anymore.

There are two main problems facing Rwanda. 1) Its president seems like the sole reason the country is staying together. He needs to find capable successors otherwise what Rwanda has accomplished wil slip away.
    2) The wealth has not gone toward the regular people. The income of the regular Rwandan is still in deep poverty. The people need to have a healthy income so that they can develop a self sufficient private business and Entrepreneurs.
If Rwanda can solve these two large issues then it can be considered a truly successful country.

Kagame explained this question, Kagame is not the one responsible to find who to replace him, that is the responsibility of people.
There's no reason to start focusing on who to replace Kagame yet Kagame is still doing the job and actually the role of Kagame is not mainly to make Rwanda a first world country but to forge a firm foundation of well working institutions that can withstand future leaders,
That's why even though Kagame was given more time to lead in 2015 in orderto finish his 2020 vision, the leaders that will follow him will follow a reduced term limits which were reduced to 5 years from 7 and will remain only two terms for a president.
When you see closely how kagame was given more time, you can see a longer plan being prepared unlike other countries where their leaders have removed term limits.
The gap between Rwanda's rich and poor is relatively low and actually their lifestyle is not that different as both access to Healthcare and education.
The problem is that when we examine Rwanda's success we assume like we're examining a rich country,
We forget that Rwanda a poor country coming from the lowest point and with less natural resources and no costline and with small population that had to fast pass through reconsideration and all that and now is a country that is beating all odds to survive using smart solutions and organization.
The country has huge ambitions and they work towards them, with short and long term strategic vision.

He's restored dignity to his people and has also engaged them in civic duties which are aimed at maintaining clean cities and other entities, His key players are carefully identified to lead the line irrespective of past dark events. He surely wants to succeed with his vision of the rule of law, low unemployment, better lives for all his people, relevant education systems, effective health care, etc People abroad have taken notice of his vision, planning implementation progress. This is a false story. Kagame regime is responsible for the looting of the DRC mineral resources by slaughtering population in the easter region of DRC. It is so sad because these mass murdering is covered up for all the world

Rwanda ain’t sh*t without Uganda and Congo
The question we should ask ourselves where did Kagame get the money from to build Rwanda like that?
Rwanda a country with full of mountains and full of lazy people
How are they going to succeed?
      Rwandans are starving
I’ve been to Rwanda they import almost everything

Why is the Congo poor? Easy:
U.K. prosecutors have told Swiss authorities they have proof of an alleged money-laundering ring spanning from Africa to Europe that paid almost *$380 million in cash bribes* to authorities *in the Democratic Republic of Congo.*
Congo is Africa’s *biggest producer of copper* and *supplies about 70% of the world’s cobalt,* a critical input for the batteries that power electric vehicles.
The $379 million that was allegedly *siphoned off in bribes* over a five-year period is *more than Congo’s total spending on health care* last year.
The case reference is A. LTD v. Public Prosecutor, Geneva County RR.2020.242 at the Common Pleas Division of the Federal Criminal Court of Switzerland.

Self reliance is the key for continuing success for Rwanda & all other African countries.

Rwanda has a lot of West's money invested in its reconstruction, so it's not self reliant.

Imagine if countries like Nigeria, Kenya, or South Africa worked as hard as Rwanda in all aspects Africa would benefit tremedously from trade and knowledge transfer.

"Worker harder", dude Rwanda is run by a completely different system, it's a dictatorship, one man has all say in all matters, secondly, Rwanda is smaller and more manageable than these other countries, it's not just that the other countries are lazy.

Hmmm...I see that someone is removing comments. Prior to my question up there, there were allegations that Rwanda is in some manner involved in the chaos taking place in the Congo due to forceful theft of their mineral resources and so 4 days ago I asked the person to give us evidence. The comment disappeared.

You don't know what you are talking about if you expect Kenya and Nigeria to work hard to get to the level of Rwanda. Not even after a century, Rwanda will never catch up with Nigeria or Kenya. Without looted minerals from Congo Rwanda is nothing.

@@princemuzison973 - I hear you. Rwanda is about 1% of the size or population of Kenya, Nigeria, or S. Africa. The developments in the city of Kigali are nice but they'd have to actually develop more than that small city before they start giving "nation-building advice" to Kenya, Nigeria, or South Africa.

I rarely do comment, but for this one , I should. I am so happy for Rwanda and I support their efforts. But the truth is our countries are much behind, we can never claim that they are heading to first class countries unless we don't known the meaning of first class. To be first class we need to be sufficient and to satisfy our needs with very little help. We don't manufacture cars, electronics, Medicare, military arsenals just name them. Till we do that, we have a little place in the world. Our institutions should start to function well, like the judiciary, Education and democracy. Kiswahili is a nice language, just like any other, but it's a language to use in trade within the area and communicate, it can not be used in science, its a developing language. We need to export more than we import........... Let's say its earlier to brag!!!!!
