Sometimes you don't expect the value, but to me if i was him, i kept it more for the feeling of remembering my younger years. Don't worry, it is surely in some safe hands by now :)
binarykult yeah, agreed! Myself and my siblings couldn't believe it, but as long as he is happy. He's still making music, but NOTHING like this! We were stunned to hear this jam!
The last private facebook sale of this sold for a record $3800 ! Im very lucky to have one..its the only record i will never have to get rid of hopefully !
@myame13 : please read ! (from the G45 website - line 13 - finerecordingstudio website) : this has been widely bootlegged and it's hard to distinguish the copies from the real thing. Unless you ever get a chance to play the real thing, that is. Bootleg copies have BP.194 A plus a squiggle in the deadwax, whereas the original has BP-194-A (note the dashes), and another .BP. initial. Remember, this is the deadwax, not the label. Hope your one is not a bootleg ;)
@binarykult It was in a collection of about 200 that I purchased for $20. It has the BP-104-A 'BP' in the Deadwax. I have requested an appraisal from Jeffery Osbourne LTD just to verify it is the real thing but it seems that it is so.
Curious to know why this song in particular is so sought after. I do like the song. I suppose because of it's rarity that's what makes it so valuable. The prices their getting on E-bay are incredible.
@myame13 : well, how do you now that's an original, and not a copy ? i mean, for example is there a way to tell me the matrix numbers, or anything that can identify a copy, or a real one ? thanks.
My dad is the singer of this.
Well, I hope your dad still have a copy of this ! this 7" is B.O.N.K.E.R.S !!!
binarykult ha! I don't think so. He sold it! I was so mad and sad when I found out!! Hahhaah
