Not to cause any drama but yes you do need chains for any type of ball hitch in the bed or bumper ,if you google (what types of hitches need safety chains) Anderson, goosebox and any type of hitch that's uses a ball in its configuration has to have chains. The use of safety chains are not state to state its federal. The fines are not stupidly high but the lawsuit can be if your trailer comes off and kills someone without safety chains .
It looks like a pretty solid setup. Is it as easy to hookup, with the exception of the lift test? Also loosing 15 lbs in the bed means Joni can add 15 lbs of something else in the camper!!! lol. Great install video.
👋🏾 Guys..The Andersen Hitch looked more beefier than your other hitch..I was very surprised to hear Mr. Mike say that it was much lighter..❤ it when you share pros and cons.. Looking forward to the final review ❤😊
Do you have any updates now you used your Gen 3 for 7 months? I am at the point of either getting the Anderson Gen 3 or Demco Recon Gooseball. Totally undecided.
@@stephendudka6192 yes! Haven’t come out with a video yet but I absolutely love the Anderson Gen 3 Ultimate fifth wheel Hitch. Hope this helps with your decision!
Love Andersen… we have their weight distribution hitch.. works great.. when we upgrade to a fifth wheel we will go with this setup
They do make a great product! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Great information! Didn’t know there were so many options.
So many more options than this! Thanks for commenting!
When your towing with a gooseneck hitch I believe you should have safety chains. I didn't see any in your setup
They are not required in our state unless you have an actual gooseneck hitch. I did check the laws first that. Thanks for commenting!

Thank you! Always pros and cons to everything with an RV!
I guess with bigger campers, comes bigger problems 😂 Interesting to see how all that works!

@@ThoseWhoGlampTogether What size 5th wheel are you moving?
@@stephendudka6192 we have a 36 foot with a GVWR of 14k. The hitch is rated for 24k and 4K of pin weight.
@@ThoseWhoGlampTogether We are a bit heavier with our Heartland Bighorn 32RS but there is lots of play room with 24K. Our pin is about 3000K. Thanks
