- I made it out to LVO for one day this year, and I was able to capture a single battle report from the tournament. I unfortunately got a bit hasty again and cut off a lot of the clips, so sorry for the choppiness (will try to improve next time). Also, stay tuned at the end for a special Kickstarter announcement!
The moon is very big no?
How does Echo spam in general work for you? I love the Echo so much lookwise and would be tempted to try it ;)
Heinrich Müller this list is too much spam - it’s overkill to control the atmosphere, and then echoes are not optimized against higher Armour targets in orbit. If you want to go heavy on echoes, I think 15 Echoes is around the sweet spot, and you can use the extra points to buy more ships that can hurt heavy Armour.
Looks like a fun game. I did spot some minor issues.
Shooting out or into atmosphere is only within scan range unless escape velocity or atmospheric weapon.
The dread really needed to gun for the station. That would be a massive swing in points, while try to send some ships to the bottom eight station to score points. Good game from You though
Looked like the gunships from ucm did some work though. Did you guys like the changes from the errata and the new missions?
I really like the changes! Can’t think of any that I disagree with. If anything, I think we need even more streamlining to make dropfleet viable for tournaments. At 1500 points with reasonably experienced players (not totally new) trying to play fast, pretty much every game was going over 3 hours. We streamlined ground combat, so let’s streamline more stuff.
Patrik Wenner which activation violates the scan range / atmosphere rule? I think we mostly kept with that, but I’m curious if it would have affected the game.
@@cameronblume5108 I think it was right at the end when some echoes moved 2 and shot at spiked limas. Nothing major
Glad you liked the changes. I agree that there ca be more streamlining. Just need to find the right spots to work on
@12.22
Where did you get the moon from? Looks funny. out
I really like your videos but i think it's pronounced 'me/muh- dee - ah' not muh-day-ah'
Sorry. Really cool to see LVO footage
It looks like you're right! Although I see conflicting advice for whether the emphasis should be on the first or second syllable.
Cameron Blume yeah sorry to nitpick. Also all accents sound strange from new zealand.
Phr doesn't ever kill things the fleet has little critical damage ships at all major down fall of fleet.
John Lay well the Bellerophon is probably one of the best, since those bombers will score crits on 2+ and the burn through will get a few too. But yeah, not so many crit options from cruiser broadsides.
@@cameronblume5108 it's sad that phr has to count on keeping ship alive to launch phase to be able to crit. And other ship still get pd against. Most other faction just shoot and crit with no way to save.
@@johnlay2296 Fortunately the PHR bombers are so powerful that you need a high number of fighters to counter them. Usually the structural point defense on an enemy ship will be easily overcome as well - if you run a Monte Carlo simulation I think you'll find that the numbers come out quite well. Also, the errata change to the heavy calibre guns make them hit against Heavy and Super Heavy ships on 2+ and crit on 3+. You can take those guns en masse if you run destroyers. So I think there are some good options!
