    I totally remember this from the Chuck E Cheese in Danvers, MA. I recall them being much more life-like... but of course I was 8 or 9 at the time, so maybe it just looked like it!

      They were much more lifelike when all the servos worked. The servos broke often and would look very stiff when the servos were broken.

    This particular stage was installed to replace a balcony stage and a few years later this show was taken out for a c stage

      Our location still has the balcony stage. It was in the same room. Never had any other stage.

    The original (prototype) design (in Clawson, MI) had more movement. I'm not sure why. Maybe because the joints were a little looser. The mouth was more responsive in the original because it used a shorter lever so the servo didn't move as far to open the mouth. All later models (from other stores) just seemed stiff. I maintained these guys (Clawson and Warren, MI).

      Do you know if the creator is still around or anyway to contact him? If you have photos of them that would be awesome, they're my favourite animatronic band and i'd LOVE to find more about them since they're technically lost.

      @@ThatEEguy2818 Hi! Would you have any more information about the Family Album shows? I suppose that the first was Clawson in 1983 then. We've found Danvers MA (the store in this video), Warwick RI, Ann Arbor, Okemos, Warren, and Clawson MI so far.

  • @Laserashton

    I would like to mention that the Family Album that's in this video was at Warwick according to the camera man, it was actually taped at Warwick and Warwick is my local store which is pretty exciting. The Family Album was at Danvers as far as I know but in the late 80s, locations removed their family album or relocated like Warwick did.

    • @spunchbop47428
      @spunchbop47428 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is actually danvers Massachusetts, because Warwicks show was in the middle of the showroom, but danvers was made like a concert stage (this could also be Warren Michigan because they had the same show layout

      @Laserashton 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@spunchbop47428 Ok, yeah I wasn't aware because Leo Lion showed a photo from Warwick and he said he had photos from Warwick, it could've possibly been Danvers or Warren though because of what you said, thx for giving me a positive answer. :)

    What I wonder is, how many locations had the family album and why were the cosmetics all different? We had them in okemos mi. Also did any other locations have that birthday room animatronic stuff. I don't know much about it because you could only see it, if you had a private birthday party. There was a guy with a banjo, I think.

    • @raistlinmills131

      Only the danvers location had known names won by the vote, what were the names in the Okemos location?

    • @Laserashton
      @Laserashton 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Only 5 locations had the Family Album and it was a test stage at the time, the one in this video was from Danvers but it is a little different. According to the CEC Warwick Manager, she said that there used to be live people inside the animatronics performing the voices on the Family Album. I don't know if it's true because she also apparently worked at Showbiz. Warwick's Family Album looks kind of different from the rest.

      The guy with the banjo was Mr. Kootch. The yellow haired girl was Mona and the monster was Seymour. They were characters from The Hot Fudge TV show in Detroit in the late 70's and early 80's.
