    Come along with us as we fly the SF50 Vision Jet from Smyrna, TN to it's new hangar at the John C. Tune Airport in Nashville, Music City.
    Few things happened over the past year that necessitated the move to a new hangar. It's bitter-sweet since this was the base for my airplanes for the past three years and I got to know some very nice people at MQY.
    I really felt like the Tower Controllers at MQY were very good and so adept at handling high volumes of traffic flow. Pilots rarely take the time to compliment Controllers, but they definitely deserve it.
    Yesterday ended up being a bad day to move the jet to JWN Airport after all. My hangar ended up having an unknown airplane in it so I could not move in. The day was clear, but very bumpy. Finally, I was rear-ended on my way home from the airport...

    Tower must have gave you that NEW “right circle” to left base maneuver!😅

    Nicely done Don, the shortest flights entail the highest workload factors and you’re handling it with ease. Sorry to learn of the Airport change of base and wishing a speedy recovery .
    Best regards,
    Capt. Mark

      Thanks Capt Mark! I replied to your email this morning so you’ll get a little more information that you might have asked for 🤦 Thanks for watching! Thankfully I am doing okay after the fender bender.

    Nice video. I understand the bumpy flights between 2-3K. When I did my discovery flight awhile back, the flight was a bit bumpy near Cedar Point. One thing when I rode in chinooks, blackhawks, C-17s & C-130s; quite another when in the "PIC" w/ the flight instructor (Yes, enjoyed my discovery flight but I was a bit jittery since it was way out of my comfort zone).

    Thought they forgot about you a couple of times. Glad they have a tower again, it used to be really crazy when it was uncontrolled!

      Thanks Craig! The crash was the perfect way to end a pretty crummy day overall. Thankfully I am feeling fine today.

    Hello sir great video and flight. Is it possible for you to place a camera on wing or tail in order for us to have a different view?

    • @DonAv8s
      @DonAv8s  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the suggestion but these cameras and mounts are not made for 300+ MPH speeds and tremendously cold temperatures at normal cruise altitudes. This flight was abnormal for the jet since it was low altitude and short.

    Hi, whats is this CAS mensage? Red mensage.

    • @DonAv8s
      @DonAv8s  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The red CAS was for the baggage door. The sensor went bad when I was doing the preflight.

      @@DonAv8s You've had a time dealing with some of these door/window sensors lately it seems.
