So I err on the side of the argument our list is good enough and that someone like Houston (together with continuity ) might just get us to the promised land. But as I say you make a good argument.

They kept knocking on the door with preliminary final losses, and when they finally made it in 2023 they lost by a kick to the Pies. Premierships are hard to win.....

Owies, Kennedy and the cohort of perennially injured have been traded/delisted. All low hanging fruit. The heat for mine is on fitness, the new mid tier to pull their weight and the coach to improve DRAMATICALLY.
Moping up sos's mess.. list holes and so on.. for sure. At leaat two years of wasted top ten picks with Seton, Dow, O'Brien for a start. Austin has tried to bring in Hewitt Cerra and Elijah to bolster a midfield that should have been built then. And I think we still need more midfield talent as it's a bit one paced. Small forwards iffy and probably short a key defender, hopefully these two new recruits will take care of those deficiencies

If you fail on Houston, you should go Caleb Daniel. Statistically with ball in hand in 2023 he was basically as good as Houston. He shouldn't cost much, is an all-Australian, and is only 1 year older than Houston.

Nick Austin has done a fantastic job since taking over. I hope we go to the draft and pick up some genuine takent. I know Nick would be dying to use those picks. He's only had one early pick since arriving. Let's build for sustained success. I know cook and wright will be saying the same thing

The AFL put people in positions such as fitness manager to keep teams where they want them. They pull players out of games to fix results. You're blind if you can't see this. E.g. Harry Mckay came off the semifinal against Sydney with concussion, make a video showing exactly where he got hit in the head for us. He missed his head by a foot and no one in the AFL or AFL media pointed out he didn't get hit in the head. Carlton missing 17 players leading into finals. Players constantly missing games for injuries that didn't happen during games. Mckay late out against Port with a cold and the same fixture the year previous came off the ground immediately after his first contest, against a Port team with F all defenders that needed to win games. Cripps missing games with 'mysterious injuries' You think this is all an accident? It's painfully obvious that it's rigged. Grow up man

I'll be gutted if we trade away one of our top picks and a future for Houston. We have to get as much young talent in as we can.
