It actually makes the tyres longer like a track, that’s what helps the most dropping air, surface area..

  • @odysseyofjason

Awesome video guys. Cape Lookout is a special place for sure. Airing down is crucial. You may drive down the beach for miles and be just fine but you hit those soft spots here and there that will swallow up a truck in a heartbeat.
Airing down does increase the tires width slightly but the real advantage is the increase in length front to back. The length of your "contact patch" can triple going from 35psi down to 18psi.

Sierra, South Carolina produces more than twice as many peaches as Georgia, about 76.5 thousand tons vs 33 thousand tons! The top peach producing states are #3 Georgia, #2 South Carolina, and #1, by a lot, California (about 468 thousand tons). Love all your videos!

Lol, Sierra is just lovin' life for sure. You guys are very lucky down south. Here in B.C. (at keast in the lower mainland) we only had one beach we could drive on way back in the 60's and 70's. But the tree huggers shot that shut down. It was great because at low tide you could drive our dune buggies for a couple miles on the sand flats next to the sewage treatment plant. Now you can barely even go for a walk out there because (it's an environmentally sensitive area). Which is bs. In the dunes some birds do best but out on the flats there's not even shell fish out there. So enjoy and appreciate what you have. Ok, well I know you do but just sayin'.

In that big truck if you are in an accident that is bad enough to hurt you, a seatbelt won't make a difference! I have been in several accidents never head a seatbelt on. Been in 5 motorcycle crashes including hitting a deer. Never had a serious injury.

@@jefflewis2897 I used to work in the Honda service department and we actually ended up discussing what a "lifetime" is. We concluded that if the car is still in a useful condition it was within it's lifetime. So if a car came in that was a total neglected POS, they were outside of a lifetime.

Obviously the Cape is worth the effort. Have traveled there for the past 30 years in the fall to surf fish--staying in the Park Service cabins. Four wheeling with Suburban and 4WD pick ups. For our fishing group of 5-7, we call it an eating trip where fishing breaks out. Believe you have mastered that strategy. Enjoy this beautiful slice of God's paradise.

I have a couple of Robert August boards 9'-4" and when I was in Hawaii I had a Pearson Arrow-Wing nut 9'-6"model board made in Santa Cruz. You have the stoke of the surfing community so keep making those videos of your day to day. We can't wait till you get your sailboat that you can put your surf and sailing back together. All you need now is a Ukulele for those long passages, let me know if you need one because I have many and would be glad to send you one. Whatever you do stay out of the reddish brown shelly sand closer tobthe surf. It is very deceiving and can be like quicksand. Been going there for years and last year I dropped strait down to my step bosrd happened so fast I was in total disbelief! A few colkege students stopped to help and they ended up as stuck as myself. Luckily a Ford 350 with a camper stopped and got us all u stuck, but we used several tow ropes all linked together so he could pull from the more compact sand. Just in time by then the surf was lapping at the bottom of my doors! Never been so happy! Other than that one time, I have never gotten stuck at all.

Ending was cute, what you have to do to entertain the masses. lol Uhh seat belts. I had 99 2500 Dodge cummins put over 400,000 miles on it, wore out the truck, not the motor. Sometimes leaving the seat in the same position for a long time just made the auto-lock hang up so from time to time i moved the seats and it seemed to remedy the problem most of the time. Great vid guys, like the new camera to.

As you travel in the interior find some sailing clubs where you can participate in regattas. I grew up in Iowa crewing for races and it was a blast. Hobie Cats and Buccaneers were a lot of fun. Just a suggestion. You learn a lot from somebody that races a lot.

Did you ever feel like you might get stuck on the beach. We have a dually and a 4000 lb truck camper on the back. we have been on the beach with our jeep a lot but not the camper.

Without seatbelts just put on lifejackets. If you get pulled over you can plead insanity. lol

Seat belts go to the lock-up position when the balancing barrel is not upright.
Mine had the metal coating separating and prevented it from being in a neutral- retractable-
extension mode. Take the belt mechanism apart at the pillar . Yes they lock when in an accident due to the barrel not being up-right.

Going to be hard to top this even with a $600,000 catamaran! Nice video and editing and great adventure as usual!
