Hopefully HL loses it and does something like this in the upcoming season. He's apparently going to be in court and they've just been hanging a mental break out there in front of us.
I honestly am shocked that he's going to court considering Vought specializes in lies and cover ups. They could've very easily portrayed the man as some kind of terrorist with evidence planted. But this is interesting. With Vought in court it allows the government to do all kinds of digging. And the higher-ups in the US chain of command have had their shovels ready for a very long time.
I think everyone knows that Homelander will lose it and show his full power level evenually... But considering that the entire tension and drama of the show comes from him having to still keep up a good PR front, we should not expect it to happen until the very last season.... With that being something that I FULLY look forward to!

Actually it's perfectly fitting to Homelander's personality. He found a piece of sensitive information (in this context regarding a politician's image) that he can and immediately uses to try to degrade this person and gain power and control of the situation by placing himself above her. There is a serious politician giving a speech to the public and his opening line is "loved your online dance video" to immediately remove her from power and control of the situation by breaking her image as a serious politician. It sounds like such an innocent line to say but it's done with malice and there is research behind it to purposefully hurt the other. Perfectly fitting for a sociopath like Homelander. From that moment on no matter what she says, she is the walk like an egyptian online dance video girl, not the political representation of any group or force.

Kinda stupid considering bro accidentally killed one civilian meanwhile the military has killed thousands and yet theres some army dude talking shit about homelander with 1 bit of collateral
That may be true, but in the military’s case it’s somewhat understandable: there’s a high risk situation and no alternative. Meanwhile, for Homelander, it would have been very easy to just take out the terrorist without harming anyone else. He choose to be reckless.
I think the difference is that Omni man isn't really that bound. He doesn't need humanity's love, approval, etc, so he makes for a somewhat plain villain. HL's insane performance, unpredictability, and unhingeness is what makes it such a compelling villain
How is that a joke? What's the punchline here? Sounds a lot more like someone called you out for being wrong and you resorted to "lol I was just joking duh".
The crowd does not afraid of Homelander , he only hurts or kills people when they are afraid of him, he does not kill them because he felt depressed, his mind is not in killing spree and being put to his place.
So wait...if bro has super hearing, how does he function with more than one person around him at a time? He could hear EVERYTHING at EVERY moment, unless it's something he can turn on at-will? enlighten me, i've never read the books
As Smallville showed, I believe that super hearing has to be controlled with extreme concentration. Essentially, Homelander drowns out any other noises and focuses on what he wants to hear.
Same as normal person, really. If you are in the middle of a busy city street and a person is there with you, you'll hear whate they're saying because your brain can filter the noise that's coming into your ears so you listen to that person
Homelander has been taught to focus on the sounds he needs or wants to hear and ignore everything else. Otherwise the overload of noise would drive him crazier than he already is. The human brain isn’t made for hearing everything at once without sustaining damage.
