I'm currently reading through this series and Anne's House of Dreams is the one I have next so it was nice to hear your thoughts so I have a better idea of what it will be like going in. I have so much love for the Anne girl! I found the first half of the series to be such a respite in 2020 and I look forward to reading the rest in this year. Just thinking about the climax of Anne of the Island has me welling over with emotion! I will say that I do think readers that enjoy the Anne series should definitely look into the Betsy-Tacy series.

Having read only the first 6 in the series, I would have to say my favorite is Anne of the Island. I just love the fact that she's at college and is becoming an adult and discovering who she really is. Her roommates are awesome too. I'll have to get to the last two very soon!
I'm so happy that the AGG series is one of your favourites! Rilla of Ingleside is my favourite book, so much so that I adapted it for the stage and played Rilla. I loved hearing your thoughts on Anne's House of Dreams especially. I hadn't thought about it in that way before!

Your bottom 3 are my bottom 3 as well. Though in a different order. I am currently reading “Rainbow Valley”, & it’s been a huge struggle to read. I’m just not into it at all. I don’t care to read about her children & their friends. I want to read about Anne & Gilbert. So that one is on the bottom of my list! Followed by “Anne Of Ingleside” & “Anne Of Windy Poplars”. I have not read “Rilla Of Ingleside” yet. So, the others I have read, my favorite book is “Anne Of The Island”, followed by “Anne Of Green Gables”, “Anne’s House Of Dreams”, & “Anne Of Avonlea”. I have read all these books within days! “Rainbow Valley” has taken me over a month & still not finished with it. 😓
