Great movie. If you get a chance to watch the movie with English subtitles instead of the English dubbed version, it is worth watching again to really feel the emotional impact of the characters.
Funny enough I had a ponyo reaction up at one point but it wasn't very good so I removed it. But Ponyo was actually my first studio Ghibli movies ever! 😊
@@SherlockFan1 No, I think this is another version. Because when I was a kid growing up in the 90's, there was a different ending to this. The big brother is an orphan and dies at the train station- like many war orphans did back then, in the city.
2:20 The thing the station employee threw was Setsuko's bones, which had been placed in a candy tin when she was cremated, flying everywhere.
ただの悲しい話ではなく、そのメッセージ性を重く捉えているこの方の感性は素晴らしい。清太の判断が間違いで、深みにはまっていっていること、この怖さみたいなものも適切にとらえている。
Great movie.

Great reaction. You should also watch nausicaa of the valley of the wind from Miyazaki
Is that another Studio Ghibli film? I don't think I've heard of this one? Cool what's it about if you don't mind my asking?
If you haven't seen it already, can you maybe react to Ponyo? It's another Studio Ghibli movie, and it's probably my favourite one (childhood wise)

That's so sweet! Thanks for watching!
Did it have the scene of the brother at the train station at the very end?
Ugh I forgot to watch to see if there was an end credit 😪

Oh no the only time I can think of is in the beginning he passes away in a train station but this might have been a different version
