    ขอบคุณครับ This will help many people. You are teaching it exactly the way I learned by comparing traditional and modern fonts. I realized that there was really just a few letters that I had difficult telling apart so I concentrated on those. I still read this much slower than the traditional letters but I am no longer bewildered by it.

    Great video. This is a topic that isn't covered enough. When I first encountered these fonts I couldn't read them but over time I have figured it out. Maybe this topic doesn't get covered because people think the reduction is obvious. It was really helpful how you grouped the letters together that look similar. I still get confused sometimes between จ and ง. I love how you cover the topics that others don't. While you are at it maybe you might consider doing a video on hand writing? I guess it would be similar to the Stylish fonts but I think it would still be useful. I have seen some examples of hand writing but not many. Keep up the great work.

      Great idea about handwriting. You mean I may give tips about how to transform foreigners‘ handwriting to look more like Thais‘handwriting? Or what would like me to cover?

    • @iandickey6866

      @@SpeakThaiPossibleWithNaam Actually I didn't think of it that way but that would be amazing. I learned to write the normal font but I have seen how some people write. It makes me feel like a kid. So sometimes when i am in a hurry I naturally try to take short cuts to write faster but it would be useful to see how others do it. But your idea of transforming peoples writing is A+. That would definitely be a first.

      Use the same technique from nurses who have to read doctors handwriting.
      Just have to Guess what the text is about but u need a large amount of vocab to apply this technique. That’s why we can’t read doctors handwriting but the nurses can. :)

    Hi, where can i download the stylist thai fonts?

  • @RubykonCubes3668

    I wanted to practice title stylisation by parodying drama posters, expecially a couple of thai ones' i got to watch recently. (Not that i know thai ot anything, it's that i look up the writing and i thought it'd be an interesting experiment for me to do) It's just that when browsing, i would see alot of the minimal fonts and no curls. I wasn't surprised, since understandably a title has gotta be bold & hit the eye. But then i read a few comments under this video and now i'm confused as to why would a font, rather designed for effective title stylisation, be used in a menu for a example. That's so strange. 😅 Anyway, i guess what i want to say, is that for my practice, i'll be using the titles specifically in their original thai scripture form because I'm a contrarian, lol

    This video was badly needed, as there are few videos or even websites that teach how to read the modern font.
    The original font was beautiful and clear, whereas the new font is confusing, largely because many characters look way too much like the Roman characters used in European writing. For example, ร looks confusingly like "s," ห looks like "k," etc.
    What was the point of developing a font that is unclear, causes confusion, and doesn't even look attractive?

    • @yuukuriuddoherusaizu7197
      @yuukuriuddoherusaizu7197 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The font is considered minimalistic which is a trend that attracts young people in Thailand, especially in advertisements, etc.

    • @cattoleonce4066
      @cattoleonce4066 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I know right. Its sacrificing beauty, culture, and the person reading it for minimilism. Its like how people hate oversimplified logos because oversimplified logos look confusing as well

    • @belphegor_dev
      @belphegor_dev 26 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yes, the Thai people totally developed their fonts for YOU, a foreigner 😂😂😂
      Everything you posted is wrong. The modern fonts are much easier to read and not confusing at all if you know the language. Remember kids: the world does not revolve around you.
