Hey guys! I have updated the description of this video to display the new Caverns of Ixalan cards as well as the most updated version of this list. Later in 2024 I will be posting an update video at some point. To refer to the changes to the list as of now, refer to this videos description!
@HyperdriveMTG: can you do an update with the cards from The Lost Caverns of Ixalan Commander Deck: Blood Rites? Maybe some of them can be a good addition to Sanguine Supremacy?
Could you give us a bit more insight on optimal starting hands / mulligans and what power level your pod is at? I've been playing this List in my highpower pod and been struggling with board bounces/ exiles (always having teferis protection is obviously not the case). People are playing tons of interaction spells and expensive staples, no manacrypts though. Also had a hard time to push for lethal damage most of the time or even get enough aggression going early on. Decks I encounter most often within this particular pod: Aesi Gishath Nahiri forged in fury Guff Meren Aurelia Sir Jidar knight tribal Sefris Jodah the unifier Anikthea enchantments Trying to figure out if I am just not piloting the deck correctly as of right now or if the Pod-Dynamic is simply not for an Edgar Deck. Thanks for taking the time to respond :)
1) i never care to get edgar out so i dont look for rocks unless im aiming for bolas citadel or a turn 2 4 drop. i aim for a 1 drop at least one draw advantage since they are continuous and a sac outlet with 2 lands 2)i have 4 ways iin the deck to work around the bounces and wipes but i dont mind bounces with how low the curve is. exiles you should have a sac response ive been looking at litch nights conquest for retrieval or phy rebirth but i dont normally care to get stuff back 3) i prefer to have games play out and i feel the pods ive been in do the same for interaction so i dont really care to add more but a better setup will be 8-9 instead of my few removal 4) i have an aggro list theat is explosive but this version relies more on hitting when you can and then everything dying to kill your opponents at the same time. usually i can set this up by turn 5 and have a gun to the threat.
Edgar is strong but will never be stronger to any of this other commanders you just named. It’s just not powerful enough. It was pretty powerful in 2017, but nowadays it’s almost impossible to win agains those CEDH-like decks, they are just simply quicker and more powerful
In my opinion, Sorin Solemn visitor is still the best sorin for Markov, his +1 lifelink often get neglected, but it's until your next turn, it makes a huge difference. Where imperious bloodlord is until end of turn.
Would you say that 31 Lands work reliable enough to rarely miss a land drop? Due to the amount of card draw I can see it work, but curious to hear how it works in a real life setting.
Yes. Edgar is a low curve aggro deck. You want to be hitting your non-lands more than your lands. A good example of this is Elf decks which can win off of 4 lands in play.
I've been playtesting this deck with my friends and this deck is so fun to play I got a turn 1 Indigent Aristocrat and a turn 2 Bloodchief Ascension but I've noticed that it just doesn't have the staying power. I'm thinking that it's probably because I'm playing against a dragon deck but it's just not doing the job.
Thanks for thr video. I just made an edgar deck but i need to protect my commander more. Hes so beefy to cast for thr 3rd time. I have a mithral armour and a swift foot boots.
@HyperdriveMTG or if anyone is able to answer, is the 31 Land count in the updated deck sufficient to play the deck effectively? I usually play with a minimum of 35-38 lands, but I am looking to build this deck :)

Hi! There are 101 cards in the last list
I guess, you have to update it again after the release of the new Xialan set.

Cheers bro, appreciate your response!
Np, I'm making a more optimal list aswell as a casual high curve for fun. I doubt he will make another video of it. Since I'm doing dihada next
Hello man, could we get the updated list ? I'm building this Edgar deck

and also, I would recommend running reconnaissance, and abuse the first strike with it
I rate solem visitor 2nd under imperious blood lord. But I do agree with what thought say. It does change the game if he hits.
@@jasonwalker4650Solemn is better, his +1 will make more sense with the lifelink in attack and in defense as well. Most people sleep in this one.
Do you still have a 90% win rate? If so, what power level are you playing at?
Yes. High power playgroup.
Would you say that 31 Lands work reliable enough to rarely miss a land drop?

I have been dancing between 31 and 33. For some reason I hit 3 more often when I tun 31 and 2 rocks

Dracula the best video of Edgar Markov top guide i from chile
I play marko this list and the win ❤ i love this video

this is an aggro deck and he has a mana crypt so I think it’s fine with 32 lands
Curious if you’re running this in High EDH Pods?
Yeah me too haha. Seems interesting though, just wondering how he fares in high powered pods.
Is this made for 1v1 or 4 player? Also I was curious what you do to combat enchantments that become too much of a problem early on.
So many +1 +1 counters will it benefit from ozolith
That’s what I thought but it’s such a rare chance of playing that card and it can be easily removed and no vamps have trample
UPDATE THE LIST FROM THE NEW SET
Edgar rocks ❤
He does! And so do you!!!
Damn, 32 lands? I feel like I have to get lucky even with my 34 in my own deck.
You kinda look like john leguizamo but you probably get that allot.
hat
Boring!
BOOOORRRING! YOU DONT WANT THAT VAULT HUNTER! YOU WANT LOOT, PECKS, AND EXPLOSIONS!
