I love Morisette but I think I can feel more connection if she doesn't look like smiling when singing this kind of song. I dont know if she intended to smile while singing the song or she doesn't realize that while she thought she was expressing the song by showing a sad or serious face, we see her smiling instead.
Ever heard of smiling through your tears? She's portraying the lyrics perfectly. The narrative is a conversation of someone trying to make the break up easier by owning the blame.
