F.Y.I.: The actual manufacturing plant is in Indiana. S.C. was the assembly and shipping plant. This is the smaller division of Ryobi Japan, which is under TTI China. Ryobi and Milwaukee Tools are owned by TTI.
I think it's funny that the garage door is operated by a Chamberlain opener and not their Ryobi opener. I had their 2hp opener and hated it, so I replaced it with a Chamberlain as well.
I hope they treat their shop floor workers better than amazon, companies that exist purely on staff time and motion principles don't have the best reputation. on the other side, i have a shed full of ryobi products, they're all very good, if a little heavy with the small power tools compared to dewallt/Milwaukee..and the circular saw in particular is disappointing, grinds to a halt at anything more than the lightest workload. the base level battery chainsaw on the other hand is awesome. i cut through and cleared a fallen tree in the road, the trunk was at least two feet in dia. obviously i couldn't go through in one (the blades too short) but i circulated it and within 25 mins id cut it in three.removed the branches and cleared the road..and on one 5ah battery too..impressive
What do you think all that automated efficiency does? Keep up or get fired. I wonder if the shop floor workers are welcome in that fancy HQ gym? I'll bet not.
I have a question - I have never seen Ryobi reply to a comment on any of their social media, ever. Is this a formal policy, and if so what is the rationale? - I'm a marketing manager and really curious, since Ryobi marketing is generally so on point.
what is this street address? I need to file a small claims suit against them for refusing to honor a warranty on a self propelled mower that has been in the shop for almost a month and now needs parts that will take 3-6 months to arrive. Their customer service stinks and calling them will be worse than trying to call the IRS as far as 1-2 hour waits and nothing getting done
A bit of age discrimination? "No one over 30 on this team". I would bet that a large chunk of the sales come from people over 30. I would rather see the recommendation of a tool being used by an experienced hand. What an insult.
i own 7 ryobi products. i am over 70 and a woman. i am seriously disturbed by the age discrimination (everyone under 30). Most of the folks i know who like your tools are women over 65. maybe the main problem i have always had with your products would have been resolved long ago if you hired testers who are older women with arthritis in their hands. your batteries are very difficult for me to remove from the charger and tools because i have small arthritic hands. Put your young engineers to work and design an adapter tool for people like me (in my mind it looks like the old ice tongs used to carry blocks of ice - you will have to google it because you are too young to remember when blocks of ice were used in the ice box to keep food cool).

They promote from within. So these guys are in intro roles and the heads of each department is over 30. They have a pretty good mix
who would've thought the shittiest quality product company had a HQ, i was expecting a car garage with 5 shady vans
