    How can I solve the RPM limit?

      I don't think there will ever be a motorcycle as exciting as the VFR.
      Enjoy the ride.

    if this cb is hyper vtec,vfr is a bit slower i think!

    • @Lthango
      @Lthango 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      even spec 1 vtec would play nicely with this vfr hyper vtec would be overkill

    • @roflcopterkklol
      @roflcopterkklol 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      You guys realise the cb400 engine is a de tuned cb1 engine right?
      the vtec works by closing 8/16 valves on the engine when below 7000rpm.

    • @Lthango
      @Lthango 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      @roflcopterkklol you mean a detuned cbr400rr

    • @roflcopterkklol
      @roflcopterkklol 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tanks
      No the cbr400rr iss a v4.
      cb400sf is an inline 4.

    • @Gidanski
      @Gidanski 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      CBR400 is I4 cam drive, CB400SF is a I4 motor with chain drive. NC23 CBR400 engine is the base for the CB400 engine, Smaller cams and lower compression plus chain drive is the CB400 engine.

    hi a few questions ,1 where is the track,cause its a great road course,i was looking at any vids concerning the cb400 4 as i love the smaller bikes, i rode a rvf 400 in the mid 80,s and thought that this was the bike to have would pull from 5/6 k and to the red line , i would buy a vfr but they were never imported in the us so that is why i am looking at the cb400 super four, in the 70,s i had a 400/4 supersport that was a great little bike too i still have a 92 vfr750 and will never sell it as there is something about the v fours .

    • @TheLeeRiders
      @TheLeeRiders  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Alan.
      It is a "Sports land SUGO" The name of this track.
      WSBK had been held on this track in the past.
      By the way, preference of your bike is interesting.
      I think very pleased that you love the bike that was made in Japan.
      It is regrettable not import of new "CB400 Super Four" in the United States. :(
      I hope you enjoy the VFR.
      Ride safe ;)

      I am no VFR400 expert but, does your radiator get warm? If not then check thermostat isn't stuck shut, other option might be that the water pump isn't pumping. HTH

    重いんですか…ボクもNCレーサー走らせてますけど、逆シフトなので楽にシフトアップできますよー あらかじめペダルに若干入力しておいて、アクセルは全開からわずかに戻すだけで入りますよ(^o^)丿
    手首を 『ピクッ』 って瞬間的に戻し、またすぐ全開ッス(^^)

    シフトアップでクラッチ切ってる?アクセル全開固定のまま?
    ミニバイク的に?

    • @TheLeeRiders
      @TheLeeRiders  11 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      クラッチ切ってますよ。アクセルも一応閉じてるんですけど、どうもタイミングが上手くないみたいでエンジンの回転が上がってしまいます。
      クラッチを使わない方法も勧められているんですが、スロットルが重いバイクなので正確にできる自信が無いです。(T T)

    cb400- 52 hp. vfr400-60hp.
    cb400-195kg. vfr400- 182kg. the vfr should be killing the cb.

    • @MrB590
      @MrB590 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeh but those figures would be the road spec numbers not race

    • @Dylzhaar
      @Dylzhaar 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The VFR is very old now so it won’t have 60HP anymore. CB400 would’ve lost less power so the power is probably similar, if not in favour of the CB. It did seem like the VFR caught up in the corners but doesn’t have the power to keep up in a straight line.

    Thank you for your comment.
    As you pointed out, problem with the shift-up.
    Timing of clutch operation and accelerator operation is not correct.
    You gave me advice how my friends also do not use the clutch.
    However, this bike is very bad move of the accelerator, it would need a lot of excercise.

  • @TheLeeRiders
    @TheLeeRiders  11 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    This cb400sf was faster than our vfr400 as fact.
    There are many variations cb400sf as you know.
    Some Mania retrofitting into cam gear train using the parts of the engine of cbr400rr in Japan.

    • @camgearmoto2260
      @camgearmoto2260 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah i think it was much faster than a stock cb400sf

  • @frankjones3792

    Nice vid...but are we grabbing the clutch a little early?...revs always popping into redline...try clutch less up shifting maybe?....little exercise

  • @schuvaltz
    @schuvaltz 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    that cb400sf seems like a latest one, which named cb400 v-tec spec3.
    that's faster than vfr400 probably if its in stock form.

  • @TheLeeRiders
    @TheLeeRiders  11 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hi George.
    Thanks your comment!
    As the camera caught, CB400 Super four is very fast motorcycle.
    also sound is exciting.
    VFR is very old bike,but has the best chassis for the race.
    The owner of this bike seems to be working on improving the rear suspension now;)

  • @georgetyy
    @georgetyy 11 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Wow, awesome video! I own a CB400 Super 4 myself and I must say. That Super 4 is surely fast! Not to mentioned, the VFR400 is quick to catch up even if is an old bike.

    Thank you Josh, your words encouraged me!
    Google translator is my good English teacher.
    By the way, Does "Pocky" mean Glico Pocky?
    It's sold at 140-150 yen in Japan.

  • @twitchyvoncrum
    @twitchyvoncrum 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    That sucks, I see that you live in Japan! Your English is really good, I'm impressed!
    A question, how much does it cost for Pocky in Japan?

  • @TheLeeRiders
    @TheLeeRiders  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thanx Josh!
    I'm enjoying this bike.
    However, availability of parts has been difficult in Japan too.
    As can be able to ride a long period of time as much as possible this bike, we stopped use for the race.
    So, my team has decided to use the KTM 690 DUKE-R to race this year.

  • @twitchyvoncrum
    @twitchyvoncrum 11 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Love the video!
    I own an old VFR400r NC21, It's an amazing bike! The only problem is how hard parts are to find for it..

  • @TheLeeRiders
    @TheLeeRiders  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Sorry, I don't know , because CB is not a possession of my team.
    In this race, extension displacement more than 500cc is not allowed, but other modifications are not limited.
    Probably, CB would not stock.

    It is maintained by some experts of repair although these motorbikes are not shipped newly.
    These motorbikes were common around 20 years ago, and we the Japanese were too insensible to the thing.
    By the way, your video is very interesting!
    The unique scene of Japan which we have overlooked is introduced.
    I would also like to study English and to send an everyday scene of Japan like you!

    Probably, you know the wonderfulness of the motorbike of both which appear in this video.
    And probably, it was pleasant to be difficult restoration of your VFR.
    Since I am a Japanese, I am proud of the Japanese motorbike being valued.

    Great vid. The funny thing is I own a 1996 CB400 Super Four a 2003 GSXR1000 and a 1889 VFR400 NC30. I fully restored the VFR two years ago as I got it from a scrap yard. It's now a fine bike to ride. The only thing I don't like about it is the charging system. Apart from that I think it's one of the best sports 400cc bikes you can get your hands on :)

    Yes, the performance of CB400 Super Four was very high.
    And the engine conditions of old VFR were not perfect.
    In the official record, the maximum speed was 207 km/h.
    Enjoy!
