I listened to School Days so much that i can sing all the solos. I first saw Gerry in Berkeley Ca. at the Berkeley Community Theater. He had those black North drums. i also saw Gerry with RTF doing the Music Magic Tour

Seen Gerry Brown live three times. That was in Germany in the early 1980s. twice with the band Kraan and at the Frankfurt Music Messe in a duet with Simon Phillips plus bassist Helmut Hattler. He just blew me away. Fan ever since. Also had the pleasure meeting Dom in person many years ago in Lisbon, Portugal. Wonderful drummer and person. Thanks for the upload.

I just checked this vid out because way back when I was in my late teens, I *loved* that rhythm groove going on in Cliff Nobles & Co.'s "The Horse". I remember thinking "Damn, this drummer's got a really *tight* groove going, here. It was one of the few hit songs going then that was purely instrumental- no singing. That focuses the attention on the musicianship, so it HAS to be tight, and Gerry Brown was like a machine- but a machine with *flair* .

The Dancer has such a sweet groove to it. Gerry’s playing on it is the reason it’s one of my favorites tracks on the album.

Fantastic interview! I am very blessed to have experienced Gerry with Stanley in concert during the School Days phenomenon! WOW! Gerry definitely belongs in the conversation with all of the legendary drummers mentioned during this interview!

Gerry has always been a classy and grooving drummer. Saw him with Stevie Wonder...wow! Simply amazing. I only have to hear a drummer put his heart and soul in the rhythm and just know that he/she is a great person. Gerry's beautiful personality plays itself out on his amazing drumming. One great drummer (Dom) rapping with another (Gerry)...thanks yet again Dom!
