YES! What a birthday present waking up to dusty odyssey doubling down his videography talents!!!!!! You are my Led Zeppelin of van life & so happy for your return ~~ how ever long it lasts... Getting on board now w/Patreon. Cheers!!
i am a new sub and am thinking the same thing...excellent content, van, personality everything! this guy has it all...maybe the best vanlife videos ive seen and ive seen alot! guess were just the first to the party.
Another fantastic video, Max. Thanks! That is the one good thing about late season snowstorms in Colorado, they do melt/evaporate quickly. Glad to see you back!😄
Pffffftttt. I live in Texas and there are days I pray for 78° anytime, especially at night. 😊 I’m with you though! It’s easier to stay warm than cool! 😎
I love your shot setup! That looks like work! You kept getting out walking through the snow, setting up the camera, and walking back to drive by and pickup the camera. 👍🏽😎👍🏼
Awesome to see a new dusty odyssey video! Hope you found what you needed to stay on your hiatus! You've been a great inspiration to me, so here's to hopefully a few more videos! :)
You are braver than I, sir. I was hunkered in Denver being miserable. It's a real testament to your vehicle and build that you were comfortable and fine!
AAaah I'm so glad I found your channel again !! I watched several of your videos a few years ago and I really loved your style and the content of your videos. But somehow I "lost" your channel and it has taken me so long and sooo many combos of search words lol. TH-cam's search functions are so annoying (as is their algorithm). I'm so happy and will be bingeing your videos for the forseeable future ha! 😁 absolutely the best van life youtuber!!
1st thank you for uploading another video. And again I really like your rig and there not much I change. It’s appears well planned out. Safe travels as always
All the prep you put into your van allow you to ride out the storm with comfort. Excellent past videos. Loved the drone shots. As always safe and fun travels.
You looked quite comfortable through that storm! Captured beautiful footage, too. Thanks for sharing. (And is it crunch-wrap season or something? You're the second videographer I've watched tonight who's done a crunch wrap camp-style. Maybe time for me to try one of my own)
Dusty!! I am super happy to see you again bro! I recently subbed not too long ago and was bummed out you were going on a break but to see you at it again is awesome! Really enjoy your videos and your edits they're cool, cozy and most of all awesome!
That shot showing the cliffside behind you was fantastic. Looks like you're having a great time out there. You got my sub for sure, looking forward to going through your content.
I just discovered you and have really enjoyed your videos. So rapt to see you in a Toyota Hiace right hand drive...SNAP! Although I am in Australia 😅 and mine is a '92. I for one would like some more detailed instruction/information on some of the more basics of DIY. I'm an older lady 😂 and am in women only travel/solo travel/living in a vehicle groups, and there are A LOT of us! We waited until our kids left home and jumped in our vehicles and took off. There's 1000's of us. And while there are heaps of really absolutely competent women doing all sorts of maintenance on their vehicles, a lot of us would not know where to start. I love your energy, and am so impressed with your knowhow I honestly think you'd attract a big following if you ran a series of videos for us. Like 'when and why to check fluids' and 'where to find where the fluids are' (seriously) videos on safety...maybe show us some new innovative safety devices...review the online products etc..... I could go on. Maybe ask your Mum what she would want to know if she were to take off by herself. My next job will be installing cameras...I'll be checking out other's videos, but would prefer to watch you. You have a vibe that is so easy to relax with...I think the ladies would love you.
we dont like women solo campers , please refrain from commenting these types of comments like women empowerment and safety , if you arent capable of travelling then dont
New Fan here; I found your vids randomly on TH-cam this last week and want to say you're production is on par with the better channels out there. Having just seen your Hiatus vid and probably you wondering what to do next, or whether to continue TH-cam-ing, I'd like to offer arm-chair advice. I'm not sure if this is the case and it's not like I have experience to back what I'm saying, but I feel the bigger channels get a lot more because they generally share a lot of information. Outdoor Boys for example is ALWAYS talking local history, or trying to teach what he's doing (food/shelters/the park he's in). OFTEN it gets repetitive, but as a viewer I feel I'm "in" on something because I've learned it. For example, every time he goes skiing he will, without a doubt, remove his Seal Skins and explain what they are and why he's using them. EVERY TIME, lol. In your vids I'm very curious what you're cooking/eating, and greatly enjoy the auto-repair work/tinkering..but I'm not really sure what you're up to mostly- the ceiling fan repair I felt I learned something. Anyway, this is rambling! I'm not sure that fits your plan/ideas, but perhaps just telling us more would help? It could pad videos if nothing else (assuming you wanna try!) Whatever you choose man, good luck!
How come there are so many videos of Vanlife in blizzard like conditions? Most of America doesn’t see snow at all… I would like to see some more videos of people camping in their vans and being cozy and comfy in blazing hot weather.
My friends www.youtube.com/@SlowRoamers just got done spending the winter in Baja, I bet you would like their videos on that. Cozy beach vibes for sure. And yeah, I tried to be a zerg player for a while but my life is for Aiur haha
amazing cinematography. you could make an interesting video out of anything :-). I hope even if you don't make so many van videos that you find something else to make videos about.
Look man as van life content fan I like where your channel is headed but i can clearly speak on behalf of all who follow such content that we prefer long vedios. So if youll please top up an extra 30min duration to your vedio. Cos we dont wanna feel like a stranger passing by and only witnessing 15min of your days time. We wanna be in your shoes, some of us dont have a van to escape our problems but we got our imagination and you help us visualize what we cant.❤❤
❤HOPE YOU SEE THIS.❤ SOMEBODY COMMENTED UNDER A DIFFERENT VIDEO THAT HE'D HELP YOU GET PARTS IF YOU EVER NEED CAR PARTS. LOOK UNDER THE "I LIVE IN THIS VAN" VIDEO.
Nope, it's a Toyota Hiace. A mid-sized van sold in Japan and elsewhere, just not the U.S.. You can import these from Japan once they're 25 years old, and they are referred to as being from the Japanese Domestic Market (a.k.a. JDM, an acronym you'll see a lot related to such vehicles).

Happy Birthday!! Thanks so much!
Happy birthday!

As a fellow JDM van lifer i enjoy your videos. I find it a little perplexing that you haven't had more success with your channel.

Great to see you back! 26°C here in NZ today, nice to see some snow and cool off!

Love the snow. Loved this video. look forward to more of your adventures.
Great to see you back on here! a beautiful film as always
Nothing like getting snowed in...when you are prepared. I'm surprised the snow melted off so quick.
Around 2 mins, seeing the flakes start, I unconsciously smiled. I LOVE snow storms.
You’re the man, crazy snow fall bro. Keep living the dream. Blessings
Heavy weather… glad you know what you’re doing!
lets gooo dude stoked to see you back

More videos please!
Great to see you posting stil!
Glad to see another video from you! Hope you've been doing well :)
Good to see you back!
glad you came back! your videos are awesome man keep it up
Awesome, dude! I admire the fact that you're in an old two wheel drive Toyota van driving on snow, muddy, and rough terrain 👍
All the prep you put into your van allow you to ride out the storm with comfort. Excellent past videos. Loved the drone shots. As always safe and fun travels.
Good to see you back :)
Ah yes! Another video ❤

It must be! I couldn’t believe it when I saw Loui’s video lol
The voice of lady on program at 3:44 is Marcia Gay Harden
Glad to see you're back!
Good video and nice choice of van. Older vans do have more soul!
for some reason i enjoy rv'ers/van life people cooking their meals and eating. it all looks so good and makes me hungry.
starcraft 2 fan here as well, still think you have the best Hiace build I've seen
O man, vanlife, snow, ski touring, SC.... is like the ultimate combo = ))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
Dusty!! I am super happy to see you again bro! I recently subbed not too long ago and was bummed out you were going on a break but to see you at it again is awesome! Really enjoy your videos and your edits they're cool, cozy and most of all awesome!
Welcome back!
Awesome video.
I was trying to figure out what part of Colorado are you guys in cause I travel around in Colorado quite a bit sometime
Wow, that is some serious snow and quite an adventure. Glad you made it out okay :)
Very nice video. I wish I was there to enjoy the snow.
That shot showing the cliffside behind you was fantastic. Looks like you're having a great time out there. You got my sub for sure, looking forward to going through your content.
Nice he is Back!!! I love getting snowed in cozyness. Have you messed around with Helldivers 2?
I feel like I missed the boat on Helldivers, and I don't have a system that can run it unfortunately :(
@@dustyodyssey well, missed out is relative. There are no items or strategies so to speak that are limited time. . . It will develop thru Oct at least
please upload a new vedio
Glad to see you back. Do you ever eat anything not in a wrap 😊
I eat tacos sometimes 😅
thaaaat looks like quite the adventure :)
nice van dude
Why did the ranger say it was best to leave? More snow?
Oh, I think he was just assuming that I would want to leave at some point haha
Playing Starcraft in a van in the snow. Nice.

I was about to comment the same thing, and the ❤️ reply was reassuring
@@sean_merrill such a pity he doesn't make videos anymore, such a nice man with so much knowledge!
First time seeing you is your Van four wheel drive motor in front or rear snow camping the best at least for a while good to see un cut hair Peace
Van is AWD, and it is a cab over so it’s sort of mid engine, but towards the front
How come there are so many videos of Vanlife in blizzard like conditions? Most of America doesn’t see snow at all… I would like to see some more videos of people camping in their vans and being cozy and comfy in blazing hot weather.
I have to add, that playing StarCraft in the van is totally excellent. Bummed to see it’s Protoss, but still cool.
My friends www.youtube.com/@SlowRoamers just got done spending the winter in Baja, I bet you would like their videos on that. Cozy beach vibes for sure. And yeah, I tried to be a zerg player for a while but my life is for Aiur haha
Does your van feed colder with the snow on top of your van
Зимой: встал, позавтракал - стемнело.
Chaffee County, by Salida right?
i'm soooooo tired of living in my van here in Colorado. i'm ready to get out of here!
How was hibernation?
really good :)
Just wondering if everything was ok
Hey you're driving on the wrong side of the van, is that even legal...?🚔
Postmen do it all the time...js😊
@@pennystewart4127 Hey,, don't jiz my comment..?
He must be Post man 🤔
Yes it is a vehicle that is at least 25 years old and more than not imported from Japan. They are legal in most NW States
really enjoyed this video. I hope you’re doing well out there. i’m working to get a Hiace to call my own. 🖤
Awesome video! ✨
New subby here!!! From North Carolina 🇺🇲
amazing cinematography. you could make an interesting video out of anything :-). I hope even if you don't make so many van videos that you find something else to make videos about.
Dope vid…love the rig!
How are you doing?
Right hand drive van?
Fun storm
I wonder, did you ever fall into a tree well?
I have before, it's scary. But there really wasn't enough snow here for the tree wells to be dangerous
didnt know you had a channel called fit files ?
Great videos. “Tik tak toe. A winner”
My Colorado is nice 😊
was this in BV?
Closer to Poncha, but yeah in that area.
We miss you D:
Wohoo!
Woop-woop Starcraft

Is that a fellow Melanzana fan i see?
