How is 4*4 z4 performance without differential. Please explain, in understanding, I have plans to purchase it. This question is my concern.
4x4 experience is decent. We haven't been to a track where our car got stuck and it required differential to take over the situation. In the past 6 months, we have used 30+ times 4wd and felt confident about the drive. Maybe in the future there would be a situation when our car gets stuck and cars with differentials are making their ways. Theoretically and practically 4x4 cars with differentials are better than non differentials 4x4.
Our use of car is not to take our car on 4x4 tracks to test capabilities but just to feel free wherever we want to. In the past 11500 kms (did difficult terrains as well like mud, snow, stones, loose soil etc., And overall casual offtoad), we haven't stuck anywhere.
Our budget for car could only afford us Z4 4x4. So we settled. :)

Kahi pe dekha ki Z8 ka 4X4 proper differential lock wala system hai lekin Z4 ka nahi hai thoda inferior hai...

Hello Bhai, I've some questions about the Scorpio N, can you please answer.
I booked the same car as you have Scorpio N Z4 4X4 Diesel Manual black color and my question are -
1 - can you tell me if Seats are comfortable for long ride.
2 - Do Mahindra have 2 engine options for same Z4 4X4 model and if they have which one is better?
3 - Z4 4X4 (Manual) steering is Electric or Hydraulic.
4 - I live in Uttarakhand (you can visit my channel if you like😊), if I'm asking for a advice do you suggest me to buy this vehicle?
It would be really helpful if you can talk to me, if possible 😊

I took Reliance Insurance (costed me around 65K)
Why?
- Pricing was little better than HDFC (it was around 67 or 68K)
- Offers unlimited zero dep claims
- Tie up with service center
Other options I considered:
- Acko, they were around 8000 INR cheaper but in key protect and number of claims per year, I wasn't sure about their performance
- ICICI, it was around same price as Reliance but they have two zero dep claims? I am not sure if it is 100% true (because since 2019 onwards they are also giving zero dep unlimited claims) but dealership said so
- United India Insurance, they were more affordable but their settlement rate is little lower than reliance
- DIGIT (dealership recommended this), with all the add-ons I wanted Reliance was just 2000 to 3000 expensive. So, I selected a brand over startup as I previously had good experience with Reliance insurance in 2015 (my bike was totalled, insurance went smooth)
All inclusive in my Reliance insurance:
- 3 + 1 years (Liability Cover + OWN Damage + CPA) - This would be offered by all insurance
- While taking insurance, most insurance company offers a section where you can declare non-electrical accessories or electrical accessories value, as I took Alloys (18 inches OEM alloys, 68K) from the dealership so they have declared non-electric accessories value with the part number (I guess, entering the part number is not mandatory it totally depends upon the insurance company how they deal with it). This add-on costed around 1800 INR, included in 65000)
- Other add-on includes:
> Consumables
> Engine Protect (liquid damage too)
> Key Protect
> Loss of personal belonging (up to 200,000)
> Zero Dep
> Tyre Protect
If I did more research, may be I have saved / negotiated little more like 3K to 4K, but dealership told with all the add-ons and the brand I am opting for, they have provided all possible discount.

Z4 Diesel Automatic, Z4 diesel 4x4 have electric steering
Hydraulic steering is only present in Z2 Diesel Manual and Z4 Diesel Manual (without 4x4 or automatic)
With regards to the rear ac, to be honest I am not 100% sure if it has separate AC coil but as per specifications available on the Mahindra's website it has a separate AC coil though there is no temp control for the rear vent.

Hi Lam Tashik, thanks for your comment brother. I don't have much experience in judging the paint but both Z4 and Z8L have same quality of paint.
Just 15 mins before recording the video, I drifted Z4 in sand. Maybe that is another reason it is looking matt as it had a soil layer on it.

What’s the main difference between 4XPLOR and 4*4 ??
Hi Adarsh, both represents 4X4 drive modes.
4XPLOR is a name given by Mahindra for 4X4 with terrain modes (rock, sand, mud, and snow). Depending upon the train, you could additionally set these mode by engaging into 4X4 low or 4X4 high.
Our Z4 4X4 lacks these modes. Also, there is a difference between Z4 4X4 and Z8L 4Xplore. Z8L comes with differential which expands the capability of 4X4.
