I love how genuine you are about how different makeup looks on camera vs in real life! 💞 Most youtubers don't acknowledge that and it made me feel like there was something wrong with my makeup not looking as good as theirs when I first started watching tutorials..
Amen! For almost two years, I was sure I had huge pores and every foundation I tried didnt work. Turned out it wasnt my skin that was the problem - I simply needed a constant ring-light xD I had this unrealistic idea of how it should look completely smooth, like skin, but that was because I watched videos with light from every angle and slightly blurred filter ;)
You're the first TH-cam mua I've ever watched and I don't know how I found you but I am literally your no.1 most loyal fan! I have deep set, downturned and slightly hooded eyes. You taught me everything I know! I get comments that my skin is flawless and my eye makeup is better than when i got it done by a mua for an event. Thank you SO much for being an amazing, candid, generous and gorgeous teacher! Xxx
THANK YOU FOR THE SUPER CLOSE SHOTS OF THE EYES! Omg that was the most helpful thing everrrrrrrrrr! More TH-camrs need to do this! 100% would love for you to do this in future videos! 💋💋💋🙏🏻💗💗💗
Yes! Please film a video of the smaller mistakes! I really enjoy these videos! The first ever video I watched when I came to TH-cam again after SO many years was the previous video of don's and don's you did. That's when I subscribed to you, and what started my love of makeup. Seriously. I only got into makeup like 1.5 years ago.
I don't have perfect skin at all but full coverage foundation looks terrible on me. I agree a light coverage or cc cream with spot concealer looks sooooo much better. Also using a concealer under my eyes that is to light ages me 10 years. No joke
Stephanie you're amazing as always! You've taught me so much and I've followed you for years! I'd love to see the in depth mistakes video. Much loves and I hope you have a wonderful trip away ❤️ xxx
I follow your do’s for hooded eyes most of the time ( I love my glitter eyeshadows too much and I just can’t stop using them) I have definitely learn a lot from you. THANK YOU!
I seriously cant thank you enough for showing these techniques especially with highlight and bronzer. Allll of the beauty gurus I watch use huge fluffy brushes for bronzer and highlight so that's what I've always done and I always feel like I look a little off....you...are...amazing
I've only just started watching your videos last night for foundation reviews and omg I love how honest you are!! I've seen a few videos by different mua and you are my fave🤗
Wow thank you for the translucent powder/beauty sponge advice! I used to apply it with a big fluffy brush and found the result a bit cakey. I will definitely try this out!
For like gothic makeup i do do like bold lips and eyes but they match and are cohesive so youre not like agh wtf is going on clown face etc, I think that rule is generally more like daily normal makeup
Please can we have more of these types of videos Stephanie xx I’ve learnt so much from your hooded eyes tutorials and I’m still learning. I’ve always wanted to try false lashes but the idea of actually applying them freaks me out x
YES in depth video pleeease!! And I also just wanna say, you've always been gorgeous with or without makeup, but when it cut from the intro to no makeup in this vid I thought WOW you look sooo amazing and your skin looks absolutely lovely!
Perfect way to show, instead of just TELL, what anyone can do to improve. Because no matter how good we'r think we are at playing with makeup, there's always something to learn. 👏💞❤💞😀
Congratulations on working with S. I’m very happy for u! Thank you for video. The way u break it down. And for somebody like me. Much needed😝 I enjoy watching ur channel. God bless
That was great! I love these videos! My favorite by far. You are so well informed and you are never rude or belittling in your suggestions of how to do it better. It shows true grace while being honest and helpful. Love love love 💕
stephanie! i love your videos. the 2 shades over and 2 shades under is a good trick. i have so much trouble with my eyeliner. could you maybe make like a compilation or in depth tutorial of all the different techniques?? youre such a good teacher and i wanna get my wings and liner as gorgeous as yours!!
Love this, please do more do’s and don’ts for hooded eyes please. As well as trying to hide under eye lines and wrinkles. I’m 39 but they are definitely there and I love how in depth you are so would love to see more
I love these videos one of the reasons I started watching TH-cam was to learn the right from wrong especially for hooded/down turned eyes. And OMGGGGGG I want that Sigma Dream Palette SOO bad, literally out of all the palettes I've ever thought I loved and wanted I realized the moment this palette came out it blew my mind and I literally dream of it. Not sure what it is about it but I need it. I hope they bring it back. Excellent video Stephanie so helpful. Your Amazing at ur job and so unapologetically honest. I appreciate honesty so much. Much love from Massachusetts Have an Amazing Weekend
I totally agree with the tip about picking one focal point! I never knew how to word it but I think it looks way better to have a nude lip with bold shadow or bold lip with just liner on ur eyes. Such a good tip and love how you explained it!
Omgosh!! This video is awesome and SO, SO, SO INFORMATIVE!!! Thank you so much. I would actually like to see the more in depth video you were talking about
Congratulations on the Sigma sponsorship! How exciting! Would love to see a more in depth video. Your videos are great and i’ve learnt so much from you!
I'm quite impressed that your (correct) eyeshadow looks amazing and you only used one color. I have to say, if all the makeup channels I watch, your results by far exceed the others. You do such great work. I've learned a lot from you! Thankyou
Hi Stephanie, I love this video and would love to see an in depth one too. Also, could you add a product list for the "right" side of your face in this video please? Thanks! 😘
I have seen certain foundations and concealers change colour slightly after application. Could you do a video showing the products which oxidize the most and products which oxidize the least ? Is there a way to get around this problem? I love your TH-cam channel a lot and value your suggestions!
Please can you do a video in the style of “if you were only aloud to use one product from each category for the rest of your life”. Basically your favourite from each and only one from each ❤️ Love you
Go super in depth! Lol!! No, seriously I need it! I love your videos and tbh seeing you up close makes me feel like Im normal! So many videos and tutorials out there with perfect lightning and all that, that makes me wonder how to get that perfect skin. I love you so much since you always show the real thing and I absolutely adore your tips and tricks. I hope you do more like this and you are awesome!!!!
Please do more in depth! I have two questions. 1.) Regarding concealer, two shades lighter/ darker with your natural undertone or just two shades lighter in general? 2.) Eyes, what type of llashes for hooded eyes, what do you recommend for still being able to see the eyeshadow?
try and stick with the same undertone as your foundation is probably the easiest thing to do! And I love individual cluster lashes for hooded eyes, or the Ardell whiskies! x
You’re pretty much the only beauty guru, or professional TH-camr, however you’d like to call it, who’s 100% herself and truly only sponsors the brands you enjoy using and actually support! Love your videos and attitude!! ❤️❤️
I don’t use makeup brushes as much nowadays, but I’ve heard great things about sigma. I’d love it if you’d make a video talking about your favourite brushes and how to use them, I think it would be really helpful for beginners!
Hey Stephanie Love your videos! I watched the original version of this video and that was great too! Maybe you could make this into a series! Also I think it would be interesting to see how you could fix some of the bad mistakes if they happen. For example for me i have contour shades that are more than two shades darker but due to being a student on a budget I cant go out and buy a whole new face of makeup
Talking of powder being cakey and such... I’ve been using pure arrowroot powder to set my face (I can get away with it because I’m extremely fair but I’m pretty sure it’s translucent) and it’s so good! Doesn’t crease, it’s cheep, it’s healthy and has no talc. Would recommend it to anyone and you can get a huge bag on amazon and then just refill an old powder tub/sifter. You’re welcome guys 👌🏼😂 EDIT: I just looked on TH-cam and there’s a few ladies with deep skin tones using it and doesn’t make them look ashy which Is what I was unsure about so that’s a plus 🙌🏼
Your eyes are such a beautiful shade. I was mesmerized. Great updated video. I love your channel. I have noticed like all of the brushes you use are sigma and you’ve sold me. I’m going to definitely check those out right now lol.
I love and super appreciate how much time you put into these videos and how in depth you go to explain things. It seems like common knowledge, but to some people it's really not so I think it's great! I've been doing make up for years but I have learned some things from me you for sure!
Hey girl, you haven't done an updated favorite foundations video in a while, I would love to see that. I've got similar difficult skin and I wonder if there are any foundations you've discovered that you could share? just a thought of course. Love, have a good one! xx
I think an in-depth video would be beneficial to a lot of women. I think this video was great and very informative. I have always loved how detailed you are and I learn so much from you. Thank you for being amazing! As always I love your content and congratulations again on all the awesome sponsorships. You deserve it❤❤ Xoxoxo
Aloha Stephanie! This helps me so much, as I like to think I am a "stylish" lady in my fifties & a student, my classmates are in their late teens/early twenties, I see at least (2) mistakes I need to fix! Mahalo!!
I would really love to see a more in depth tutorial. Thanks to watching you I have learned SO much about applying my makeup (especially with my hooded eyes), but I know that I have so much more to learn. I still cannot get the wing right. 😩 Also, thank you for always being so genuine and sweet!
I absolutely LOVE Sigma!! ❤️ I have over 200 brushes in my collection and the majority are Sigma brushes, they’re my favorite!! I’ve seen so many influencers doing sponsored videos since the release of the P87 Precision & 4DHD Precision and it’s nice to see someone who ACTUALLY uses and loves these brushes all of the time!! 💗💯 Love you and your videos, especially your hooded eye tutorials!! Xoxo 💞✨
Ok 2 questions. 1 - Do you recommend doing both creme and then powder for contour? 2 - is contour and bronzer necessary? Is it ok if I don't use bronzer? Thanks so much for another great video! Love these videos, super helpful!
for the first question i would say it all comes down to preference. if you want a contour that stays all night than doing both cream and powder contour could look really good. personally, i prefer to stay with powder contour as it is easier to apply or to correct with a little bit of powder than the cream contour and the effect is also pretty. as for the second question, you dont have to use contour and bonzer, but it would be helpful if you can tell these products apart as they require a different application. the contour, the cooler shade, is applied where you want to create shadows, e.g. under your cheekbones, the bronzer is applied more like a blush, so rather ON your cheekbones than below. sometimes applying both can be pretty as your face is not looking too cold from the contour only, but again, its preference..
Gitta Lovegood 1 - I think using one contour product is totally enough. Just choose which one you like more. 2 - you don’t have to use bronzer, contour is enough. However if you feel really pale and want to look more tanned, you can apply some bronzer. It’s not necessary though.
I absolutely adore you!! You are the realest and most genuine person on TH-cam and it's actually sad that more youtubers aren't like you and care like you do. I know this comment is so late but you truly helped me so much with this videos like this one! I have slightly hooded eyes as well and it can get pretty difficult sometimes for me. Love you girl and keep up the amazing work!!👌❤💋😍
It literally took me 2 years to learn how to contour correctly and learn the correct contour color for my complexion. 😂😂😂 I was under the impression that the darker the color the better the contour...which unfortunately left me looking like I had rubbed mud on my face. It’s alright though because now I’m actually really good at contouring my face and nose and I even taught my mom how to contour as well! I think most people experience a “makeup evolution” over time, but I love these videos because I still make mistakes in other areas of my face and probably always will, but I have you to help me!!! You are making the world a more beautiful place by teaching us how to improve our makeup techniques ❤️🙌🤘💁🏻♀️ you are the best and we love ya girl!
These are some of my favourite videos that you do. I get so close to effing it up, it's good to know where that line is, and knowing when not, to cross it !
Great video.. Excited ur working w sigma.. U used these tools for the longest.. Have a great time in Australia.. Any plans for a vlog while ur there???
I loved this! Not only was it informative but you are so perfect that watching you do the silly side made me cry I laughed so hard!! So ty for a multitude of reasons ✌🏼️ You are precious!!👍🏼❤️
Thanks for this amazing post. I am 40 years old and guilty of the eyeshadow and eyeliner mistakes, so thanks for sharing helpfull tips on how i can do this better =)
First time commenting, long time watcher! I loooooved the actual close up! This is one of the best tutorials I've seen a TH-camr do because you weren't afraid to zoom in! Also you didn't take it for granted that we knew a lot of this! I love makeup but I never do winged liner because it never looked right and now I know why! Thank you ❤️❤️❤️❤️
wow.. the lipcolor on the good side is so beautiful 🥰 want this..🤩 Do you perhaps also give private help to learn contouring correctly? So your tips for my own face. I'm 41 and I would like to look very natural with little makeup.
I love how genuine you are about how different makeup looks on camera vs in real life! 💞 Most youtubers don't acknowledge that and it made me feel like there was something wrong with my makeup not looking as good as theirs when I first started watching tutorials..

Yes, please do an in depth mistakes tutorial. I loved this and would realy like to see how to overline lips correctly.
Cheryl Schaefer I agree!
Oh yeah, great idea! There's been a huge influx of fish lips recently! I feel like that's a huge mistake people make
I second this!!
Yeees!

I did the 𝔊𝔬𝔬𝔡 𝔰𝔦𝔡𝔢 right along with you...for my entire face. I love how it turned out. My 💘husband💘 already complimented too! Thank you 𝔖𝔱𝔢𝔭𝔥𝔞𝔫𝔦𝔢!
Lucy Lang yeah, it can be made to work, but you have to be going for a certain aesthetic.
Agreed. I wear full glam to parties (eyes done, lips done, full lashes etc), but on a daily basics I leave my eyelids nude and wear a nice lipstick.
Not often I watch a long do and don't video, but that was worth 33 minutes of my life 😌 Thanks Steph! I slay my make up thanks to your tips 💃❤
Please can we have more of these types of videos Stephanie xx I’ve learnt so much from your hooded eyes tutorials and I’m still learning. I’ve always wanted to try false lashes but the idea of actually applying them freaks me out x

Yes please, because you explain things very well. Thank you for all of your effort! I thought it was very helpful.
Perfect way to show, instead of just TELL, what anyone can do to improve. Because no matter how good we'r think we are at playing with makeup, there's always something to learn. 👏💞❤💞😀

Amazing informative work on this video and thank you thank you for zooming all the way in. Great work.

I totally agree with the tip about picking one focal point! I never knew how to word it but I think it looks way better to have a nude lip with bold shadow or bold lip with just liner on ur eyes. Such a good tip and love how you explained it!
Because of you, I went and bought makeup and used it for the first time in literally 3 years. Thanks for such great videos. ❤❤❤
What about blush? I never know if I’m applying it correctly.
And yes vlog the house tours!
Omgosh!! This video is awesome and SO, SO, SO INFORMATIVE!!! Thank you so much. I would actually like to see the more in depth video you were talking about
Congrats on the sponsorship I know how much you love the bran, the ethics they have and the products!
Congratulations on the Sigma sponsorship! How exciting! Would love to see a more in depth video. Your videos are great and i’ve learnt so much from you!
Definitely do an in-depth one! Also please include blush 🙏 I've seen some truly misplaced blush lol
Thanks! 😘

Would love an in depth make up mistakes and how to correct them!! Keep it coming!!! Tysm♡
I have seen certain foundations and concealers change colour slightly after application. Could you do a video showing the products which oxidize the most and products which oxidize the least ? Is there a way to get around this problem? I love your TH-cam channel a lot and value your suggestions!

I love you so much since you always show the real thing and I absolutely adore your tips and tricks. I hope you do more like this and you are awesome!!!!
Yes, please, record an in-depth tutorial. You are so educational
And I love individual cluster lashes for hooded eyes, or the Ardell whiskies! x

I've loved the curvy line trick for the highlighter!
These are some of my favorite videos from you! They are so incredibly informative and I love that! Xo ♡♡♡
I don’t use makeup brushes as much nowadays, but I’ve heard great things about sigma.
I’d love it if you’d make a video talking about your favourite brushes and how to use them, I think it would be really helpful for beginners!
Yes, please do the in-depth mistakes video. It would be great to get a level 2❣️

Gonna try some of these tips, like using brow powder, cause my pomade is either quite dark or too orange and sometimes i want something less dramatic
Please do an even more indepth video! Loved this and it definitely help point out where I was going wrong with my eyeshadow and contouring xx
Yes please do an in-depth mistakes video!! Love all you tips!
Thank you. I am going to try it!!🤗
Does it flash back?
Calla Swanson not on my skin tone nope 👌🏼
Your eyes are such a beautiful shade. I was mesmerized. Great updated video. I love your channel. I have noticed like all of the brushes you use are sigma and you’ve sold me. I’m going to definitely check those out right now lol.
Please film an in depth version of this! I love your tips 🙃

I would really love to see a more in depth tutorial. Thanks to watching you I have learned SO much about applying my makeup (especially with my hooded eyes), but I know that I have so much more to learn. I still cannot get the wing right. 😩 Also, thank you for always being so genuine and sweet!
Please do another in depth video! I wanted the blush and bronzer mistakes. The lip liner/ lipstick mistakes!
Yes please, I would like an in depth video! And I love the ear cuff on your good side! So cute!
Yes! I would love to see all of the mistakes and fixes!

Ok 2 questions.
1 - Do you recommend doing both creme and then powder for contour?
2 - is contour and bronzer necessary? Is it ok if I don't use bronzer?
Thanks so much for another great video! Love these videos, super helpful!
Personally I don’t use both creed and then powder for contour. One or the other is fine.
It is also totally okay to not use bronzer
for the first question i would say it all comes down to preference. if you want a contour that stays all night than doing both cream and powder contour could look really good. personally, i prefer to stay with powder contour as it is easier to apply or to correct with a little bit of powder than the cream contour and the effect is also pretty. as for the second question, you dont have to use contour and bonzer, but it would be helpful if you can tell these products apart as they require a different application. the contour, the cooler shade, is applied where you want to create shadows, e.g. under your cheekbones, the bronzer is applied more like a blush, so rather ON your cheekbones than below. sometimes applying both can be pretty as your face is not looking too cold from the contour only, but again, its preference..

1 - I think using one contour product is totally enough. Just choose which one you like more.
2 - you don’t have to use bronzer, contour is enough. However if you feel really pale and want to look more tanned, you can apply some bronzer. It’s not necessary though.
There are no rules sweet do whatever makes you happy and feel good! 💕
Can you please do a color correcting & proper concealer techniques.
I can actually! Thats such a good idea! x
