I have had 3 golden retrievers and they do shed, but the are defiantly worth it. They are the best family dogs.
Lab half Beagle mixed would be perfect for your family. They are extremely patient and can deal with a lot of noise. Great dog for kids!!!
Another great breed for a family is the German Shepherd. I was raised around them, and we never got bit or even snapped at once. They are big teddy bears lol. They can be a bit stubborn and bull headed while training (how much depends on the dog), but with persistence they will become obedient and are very loyal dogs. They are super smart too. My brother has a white female named Aurora, and she can open doors. She also obeys commands in both English and German. He's had her since she was a puppy, and has worked really hard with her to get her trained (she's one of the super stubborn\bull headed types lol). Hope y'all find a dog that fits your family!! :-)

We had golden retrievers growing up & yes, they are awesome family dogs. And as long as you brush them every other day (it only takes 5 minutes), they don't shed nearly as much as you think they will.

This might be a long explanation, but when Austin was answering the first question, he said Audri and himself are stubborn and smart. Then he said see what I did there? I don't know if anyone else noticed this, but he's referring to a past vlog. A week or so ago Brit was talking about how when you express a "problem" with your kid, you always say a compliment with the "problem," and that's exactly what he did here! IDK, I just thought that was kinda cool cause I don't think he even realized he was using her advice!

Labs can be kinda crazy sometimes, so if you guys want a more chill dog that's EXTREMELY good with kids, I suggest a Great Pyrenees. They do shed a ton but are very loyal, friendly, and patient dogs.

pet advice: Golden Retrievers have been the only dogs my family has ever had. I've had 3 goldens in my lifetime and they have all been amazing dogs, and awesome with kids! when i was little, our family dog would literally let me do anything to her and she would let me. Their shedding honestly isn't THAT bad, but they do shed. But i would definitly recommend them as a pet!!! Plus they're the cutest puppies ever so thats a plus!

Whenever I write, I do exactly that; write down every phrase I want to use, every idea, any whole sentences, in whatever order they pop into my mind. You know, all the important things that I don't want to lose and want to make sure I get down. After that, I flesh out the ideas, rearrange them into an order that makes sense - but that cohesion is literally the last thing I worry about. It's all about your ideas Britt - just get them all down :D
I love this family so much. I named my son Kailand too but he sadly passed away bc he was born too early but I know he's a blessing to me and I'm thankful for finding you guys 😢

For my entire 36 yrs married to my hubs, we have only had labs, mostly black but my fav was my chocolate lab, Chaos. They were all great with children and other pets and easy to train. My hubs is a duck hunter.
My fav group is Pentatonix too with Avi having the most beautiful bass voice.
I've already "done" Europe so we'll watch the kids 😊
I had a professor who stated that he had some wonderful advice: 1. Don't ever think that anyone is any better than you. 2. Don't think that you are any better than anyone else. 3. ALWAYS be positive. These are the things that I shared with my children. AND, I've taught them that it is OKAY to be different.
Labs are amazing dogs! I have a friend who trained a lab to be a guide dog
I love you guys! I really, really hope that you guys will consider adopting from a rescue or shelter before looking at breeders! Plenty of purebred puppies at shelters or rescues. And they usually have all their shots covered!
What you guys said about school was so true lol Once I graduated I never saw those people again, besides facebook and if you get bullied it's gonna be hard, but stay loving yourself because karma does come back on people.

Working for a vet clinic & boarding place, chocolate labs shed more than golden retrievers. I actually have a golden & he's nice & sweet with kids. & very gentle! A lot of labs I've seen have been so hyper! but depends on how good you train them!

I have a whippet that I have grown up with and she is a great and smart family dog. She is smaller than a greyhound but bigger than an Italian greyhound :)

p.s. you guys should get a yorkie for a pup! they only grow to be about 7 pounds but they love kids & with 3 you guys may not want a huge dog (especially with baby Maddox). my fur-baby Bailey is in my avi with me
I have a miniature chocolate labradoodle with a wool coat, so he doesn't shed! He's such a great family dog and very cute. Although i've previously had a golden retriever and i'm sure both would suit your family!

labs are great well behaved dogs if u take the time and train them they are also great with kids
Speaking as the youngest of three, I learned to be self-sufficient since my older siblings were usually capturing my parents attention and time the most. I also like to joke that by the time my parents got to me, they were tired and were like "eh, you do you and just don't kill anyone." So it's funny you guys say Maddox isn't needy!

Just some advice from an animal lover (and vet tech student), I would suggest adopting an older dog, maybe around 2-3 years old because puppies are crazy, messy, noisy, and untrained, & especially with 3 young kids you don't want to have to worry about training him/her, or if they go to the bathroom in the house, or know how to walk on a leash. especially if you're considering any sort of lab or golden retriever, although they are good family dogs they are bad puppies (in the sense of being a bit cray), so when you adopt an older dog, they're already going to be trained, house trained, and leash ready! And you'd be saving a dog as well! Just keep that mind when and if you decide to share you're home with one :):)

FUN fact almost anything mixed with a poodle doesn't shed and is hypoallergenic and poodles mixes are smart and easy to train!
