  • Today We are sharing Our PPE Header install & How-to video on Lexus RC350 V6 Same as the Lexus IS350.
    We are installing these ceramic coated headers from PPE, we show You how to remove the factory exhaust manifolds and what steps need to be done in order to install these headers.
    We also have a video on the Installation of the ARK Performance exhaust kit that We installed at the same time as these headers, however we didn’t want to make the video to long, so we decided to separate the two.

    Me thinking it would be difficult putting headers on because of the amount of work needed, it looks like an easy 5 hour job times my experience making it an 8 to 10 hour work 😭😭😭😭

    Man's installing headers yet is still rocking the OG airbox with paper filter. At least pop in a K&N cotton filter to let the engine breathe a little better. As I comment on a 3 year old video lol

    I wonder if the removal is the same for a third gen Gs. I’m really considering getting headers for it I have a p0420 intermittent code and don’t know how to determine what’s gone bad.

    • @lostvisionsperformance
      @lostvisionsperformance  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It should be very similar for the GS as well. For your code of you still have the stock manifolds and cats one of the catalytic converters may be failing or just a sensor starting to go out. Also check for exhaust leaks that can cause issues with the sensors throwing codes. Good luck with it!

  • @abanoubarmanious9743

    Do you think I should try following this video and doing it myself or take it to my local shop and pay $500-$600 and get it installed professionally? If I did start on it and remove the oem manifolds and am not able to put on the new ones do you think it’s bad to drive down to my local shop without any manifolds or anything?

    • @lostvisionsperformance
      @lostvisionsperformance  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Definitely don't drive it without manifolds. It would be possible to do some serious damage to the exhaust valves to open air like that and plus what it would do to the area around that open exhaust. If you have the tools and are decent with wrenching it's not a super hard job just take your time with it and be careful. It will take a while to do. If your unsure of it then you should find a place you trust to do the work. If you are in the Arizona area we would install them for $350.00
      If you have any questions along the way we would be glad to help if we can.

    do you reccomend the ceramic coating i just bought mine and didnt get the coat

    • @lostvisionsperformance
      @lostvisionsperformance  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The coating is definitly nice. It helps with under hood temperatures and helps keep the headers from cooking parts around them. That is the purpose of the coating tho I myself have never checked back to back the difference between coated and non for heat output. You should be fine with the non coated ones just make sure nothing is touching them. I have yet to have any issues from non coated headers. Good luck with yours and happy moding!

  • @vadimfrey1
    @vadimfrey1 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I am a bit confused if the oem catalytic converter gets removed for this header/exhaust upgrade. I live in the area where emissions test is required, I wonder if I can put this combo on for my RC350. Not concerned about the noise factor

    • @lostvisionsperformance
      @lostvisionsperformance  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So they say on the ARK Performance exhaust kit that was put on this car is still street legal & should not cause an emission related cod(s) to appear. the headers however are not emission friendly, since this is removing your upstream cats, they do come with O2 extensions/simulators, so in theory it should not set off a light, however, it may from time to time. so companies like RR Racing make tuners, they always say Off road use only, because they eliminate the triggers for the emission related components. Thanks for the comment!

    • @vadimfrey1
      @vadimfrey1 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@lostvisionsperformance Thank you! I wonder how reliable information that they gave you about ARK exhaust kit being legal. I was hoping on getting RR Racing tune done but this may not work if they eliminate emission triggers since that might cause emissions test to fail (or not?). Also, I wonder if you know whether getting headers does change the way ARK exhaust kit would sound, what I do know header would give another 20-25 bhp but this option is out of question for me due to being emissions unfriendly. I wonder how do they install those headers in California and still pass the emissions? I live in Northern VA...

    • @lostvisionsperformance
      @lostvisionsperformance  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      so on most tunes by elimination of the emission triggers usually means it wont show a code for a malfunction, meaning when they hook up to your car and it shows the readiness monitors are all passed they usually look no further. however if they want to really dig into it and see the actual readings they can, then fail you. It is a personal choice on modifications for this reason. it is sad that there are so many restrictions... I have not personally heard the difference in the ARK exhaust with factory exhaust manifolds. But I am sure that it still makes a great difference in the way the car sounds. it can always be a first step with the start of you project, everything else could be done after if you really wanted to, or it could be just enough to bump up the performance & sound a little without going ham.

    What do you mean by removing the lower studs at 10:05?

    • @lostvisionsperformance
      @lostvisionsperformance  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So they have studs in the head that the headers bolt to, you can remove them using a inverted torx bit, this way they are not sticking out and limiting your space during R&R.

      Depending on what tier package of f sport. The regular 350s and f sports are the same. Maybe a different intake and the front calipers are different. But the rest is exterior and aesthetically stuff. The big difference is in the RCF many things change but not far gone either.
