The IS is nice looking car. Dodge needs to find a way to make the charger look better. They haven’t changed it the body style and interior and it’s far overdue.
It's bizarre to think that when they came out with this body style many years ago that they thought it would age gracefully.... When it didn't even start out gracefully 😄. Even though the Challenger is a boat, it's not a bad looking car. The charger has always been awkward and overstyled/goofy and it should never have been named the charger. To put the stickers on and the flashy paint just emphasizes how outdated this car has become. Just an opinion. At least they have the power to move their lardy asses! But it's time to pasture- ize it!
Noob question, which one would last longer for long term ownership? I know Lexus has a trademark for reliability but I also heard same thing with the scatpack.
Its more important for us views to have an accuracy of test as in the gear changes happen at the optimum time to show optimum performance. So manual mode shifting at the exact point would be more important than both in "auto" if auto mode isn't the best performance.
I got a IS F sport and a es330 old school daily so I’m a serious Lexus fan right , but even I knew this Charger was gonna best the Lex before the race even started I mean those cars are all motor n nothing else basically it’s very few cars who beat a charger on the highway long as it’s a scat pack or higher but the refinement and build quality suffers which is why I never own one . xdrive m340i stock vs stock walks on either of them
@@bmwworld2022 robotic Venom is hilarious! This guy Trolls the comments all the time, and as you can see he's a Cadillac fanboy big time lol! M340i xDrive would win like you said all day against all these cars!😄
The IS is nice looking car. Dodge needs to find a way to make the charger look better. They haven’t changed it the body style and interior and it’s far overdue.
Dodge still look aggressive btw compared to most cars on road
It's bizarre to think that when they came out with this body style many years ago that they thought it would age gracefully.... When it didn't even start out gracefully 😄. Even though the Challenger is a boat, it's not a bad looking car. The charger has always been awkward and overstyled/goofy and it should never have been named the charger. To put the stickers on and the flashy paint just emphasizes how outdated this car has become. Just an opinion. At least they have the power to move their lardy asses! But it's time to pasture- ize it!
I wish the scat pack had the reliability of the lexus. And I wish the lexus was big enough to comfortably fit 4-5 ppl like the charger.
How was the race being filmed from the Lexus rear truck view? A drone? Great race though!
360 camera. It's really cool stuff...great angles
We don’t even have to watch the video, we all know the IS500 is better
@cris-gm1en ohh i think u didn't watch the roll race part!
that 392 is probably the best bang for the buck
Suggestion for next drag race; Lexus IS500 VS Cadillac CT4 V Blackwing.
Noob question, which one would last longer for long term ownership? I know Lexus has a trademark for reliability but I also heard same thing with the scatpack.
It's always about who would last longer, always taking L and falling back reliability because that's all that lexus has to offer
isn't that what counts??? I'm confused
Dodge ranks in 20th place in reliability just sucks
What about m550i?
I can wait till my IS500 gets here. It should be by 2023 😕
Will eventually pick up PPE equal length headers, an intake, and catback for my IS500...then get a license plate that says "392EATER".
6.2v8 485 5.0v8 472 Toyota king.he has a 1200cc more sud be making more power Toyota still killing it
Toronto in da house!
This is a real challenge 👍👍👍
Its more important for us views to have an accuracy of test as in the gear changes happen at the optimum time to show optimum performance. So manual mode shifting at the exact point would be more important than both in "auto" if auto mode isn't the best performance.
Would you all race a Chevy SS vs a scat pack charger
Rc f vs Scatpack would be 🔥
Do Lexus GSF Vs charger
Waiting for you to put the stinger up against the IS. It'll probably be close until 70mph, then the Lex will walk it.
Love your red seats.
I’d take a IS over the charger anydsy just on interior and foreign v8 sound alone tho .
Need to have the scat in track mode and activating the paddle shifters, once activated it just step on the gas then the computer shifts for you.
Scatpack costs $50K, Lexus $60K+ leaving you with some money left over for a tune and LTH and exhaust.
Then again, the Lexus does have a better interior because of luxury lol
Scatpacks are ugly tho
lol the REV limit on the dodge in the beginning of the video lmao....sleeper status.
That Lexus V8 is a masterpiece.
Why would u not use the manual paddle shifters?
Lexus does alright for less capacity, not as quick a boosted cars usually but can't beat the reliability etc
Charger : 485 HP weight 4427 lb
Is 500 :472 Hp 3891 lbs
I race my FBO 08 ISF to a 2018 392 and i gap him about 7 cars.It was a quarter mile race.
Are both cars stock??
No sunroof?
Torque is way underestimated in cars today, why I think we will see more and more force fed smaller engines in the future.
We didn’t see a good example of torque in this video
@@zonamade3380 well the bigger v8 held much greater torque you could see it when he pulled on him and hit the torque curve after every gear. Horsepower was evenly matched.
@@zonamade3380 torque in the 392 made the difference. Had it been a full or half mile I think the car with the lower curb would have pulled back around
@@zonamade3380 80 more torque in the 392. Any 1/4 mile like that expect same results, a longer race a different story.
@@adventurer4188 the 392 should’ve never been behind. Needs a better launch bc its best hit is the low end, not really top end when comparing muscle to muscle, im not sure about other competitors like this Lexus though
