      A)Supply Hydraulic presssure in an automotive system
      B)Apply hydraulic pressure to the wheel cylinders
      C) Apply hydraulic pressure to the power steering

    Honestly, I learned a lot from your Technical Videos Sir. I'm an ME too but my Knowledge in the real world technically is not that good because of less facilities we had in College and now I'm learning them all from here. Thank You. Great explanations really drive home the essence or the concept of the topic.

    About as simple as it gets. Unfortunately most cars use a dual master cylinder that features a failure mode, which this video does not show. This video shows a master cylinder typical of a 50+ year old car. It might still be used in some other applications other than automotive vehicles.

  • @2222melissa

    Pretty good! Maybe show one with a power booster? ^_^ And also explain the idea of the mechanical force being exerted through the leverage of the pedal and its pushrod. These also might help give a better understanding of just how much force is needed to actually use the brakes. I like your accent BTW. >.> Keep up the great work! (:

    the reservoir blanking need to go back past the port to the brake line for recuperation of the system after applying the brake don't it ?? please say if am crazy

  • @heyitschinoable
    @heyitschinoable 6 ปีที่แล้ว +22

    This is NOT how a master cylinder works. Plus modern master cylinders or tandem or dual piston master cylinder. You do not explain this correctly and you do not show inlet or compensating ports. The image you have listed above is incorrect. The reservoir inlet should be before the compensating port!
