Dimash is only 22 at the time of this performance. He is now 30, and his vocal abilities have grown with him. You should listen to something more recent. "El Amor en Ti". Is a performance that employs many of his vocal abilities. He composed this piece for his many Spanish speaking fans. Dimash sings in many languages, so the "cc" icon is your friend.

This song is one of the most difficult songs to sing and made Dimash a mega-star overnight in 2017 (The Singer).
The song comes from the famous Canadian-French rock opera 'Starmania' (1978) and is known in the English-speaking world as Tycoon (1995). Music: Michel Berger and Luc Plamondon (French original text). The English adaptation is by Tim Rice.
That's how it all started: In 2017 Dimash received a wildcard for the “The Singer” competition in China. He was the youngest participant ever (22 years old). Foreign participants were actually forbidden at that time. The director ignored the ban, believing Dimash would only stay 1 or 2 episodes and then go home.
This competition is not a talent show. Only professional, award-winning singers participate. Nobody knew or heard Dimash before and he had to start first ... and after his first song "SOS" Dimash captured the hearts of over 600 million viewers and a mega-star was born overnight. The next day bodyguards were at his door and now he is a superstar but without airs... just our Dimash.
The competition consisted of 14 rounds over 4 months. The jury consisted of 500 spectators who knew music, not just your average "Joe". They were well screened to be sure they would be able to judge the musicians fairly and competently. With up to 1 billion people watching this TV program and international interest was aroused. The performances were uploaded to TH-cam ... and so we became Dimash's Dears.
The Chinese organizers planned... but Dimash came, sang and stayed ... for the next 3 years in China ... but he only finished second in the competition because he is not Chinese (conditions have changed: 2018, Jessie J. Won).

Tu n'imagines pas à quel point, si tu insistes dans la découverte de cet artiste d'exception, comment ta vie va changer, tout comme il a changé la vie de milliers de gens à travers le monde, des fans qui sont devenus ses "Dears" comme il nous appelle, car nous lui sommes aussi chers que sa famille. Découvrir Dimash se fait au fur et à mesure qu’on entre dans son univers musical.
- On s’étonne d’abord de sa prouesse vocale, son excellente technique.
- On se rend compte qu’il ne se borne pas à un genre musical. Les mélange même dans une oeuvre, d’une façon très talentueuse.
- On est boulversé par sa capacité de transmettre les émotions, de nous prendre en voyage.
- Sa soif de découverte et d’apprentissage sur le plan musical, culturel, linguistique . Il parle, par exemple, le kazakh, le russe et est en train d’apprendre l’anglais et le chinois mandarin.
- Son courage d’intégrer ces nouvelles connaissances dans son art, de sortir de sa zone de confort et de prendre le risque de surprendre ses fans.
- Son message positif (paix, communication, apprentissage…), sa liberté (artiste indépendant) et son humilité.
- Le monde des Dears: ses fans venant de cultures différentes du monde presque entier, et qui soutiennent son oeuvre activement.
