I've watched a ton of your videos and just came across this one even thought it's an older one....I really like how the camera on your chest enables us to see how you work the reel with your hands. I have heard you talk about keeping the reel open and using your finger, but watching you set the hook on that first fish was really helpful. Love your videos and I like that you always give God the glory.
I wish I had good rods. I had a shimano but the inside eroded and it seized up. I also have a penn tourqe but I don’t have a boat so it’s pretty much useless
I'm so jealous (in a positive way) that you live so close to such great fishing waters. I would love to live there and go out fishing. Thank you so much for sharing, it brings some great and warm impressions to the cold German winter days. Take care, be safe and enjoy the Christmas time!
Just when I thought it couldn't get more miserable than spot locked in heavy chop on a small boat while missing fish... You showed me that adding in a GD high pitch beeping alarm could be the cherry on the parfait. You are more dedicated to this shit than I am.
My intentions from this video were to check out the 177 sport (I’m in the market for one) I’m glad to see it can take a little chop!! But you just earned your self a sub! Great video man!
Just purchased a new to me key west 1720 and want to try some offshore fishing…gonna be a first for me so pray for me. Lol. Thanks for the great content. God bless.
Thanks for the video. I've fished that one a couple times while I was there on vacation. I have a Sea Hunt BX22 Pro, and I like the area so much I named my boat "Dixey Bar Tender" I'm hoping for some flat water this fall when I come down for my fishing vacation.
Showing what they'll do! Smaller ones will do far more than they are given credit for. Have a 15', a 17', a 26', the 1720 has been everywhere the 26' has gone, and places inshore the 26' really can't. I've even taken the 15' offshore-figure if a friend can go 4.9 miles out in his peddle kayak why couldn't I in the 15'. Some pretty snappers, would of liked to of seen the big one that broke you off at the boat.
Just a tip from a guy that launches a boat 250xs a year. Just back the trailer close enough to the dock to enter and exit from the boat. Might save you from a slip 👍🏼
Really love your videos buddy great job. Question...what is all the construction work being done by the dock? Also why do the oil rigs beep if no one is working on them?
When are you going to get a belt with a built in pole holder...you just place the butt in and now your pole is steady for those big fish...it's not cheating, just smart.
Man that tone is annoying. Used to be a couple horns on the peirs in lake Michigan that would sound every 30 seconds or so too. I think the billionaires who bought the lake front property found a way to get them shut off until heavy fog sets in.
They wont get in the rig as much if you quit "lettin it feed lettin it feed". You are fishing for large fish with a treble hook. Set the darn hook man lol. Get them away from that rig.
@@BamaSaltwater Then save the other half of that cig for something that can eat it. A 3lb snapper and a 7lb king can inhale a whole cig without blinking. You will find 10lb snapper and 20+ lb kings on those rigs as you well know. Those fish arent taste testing those baits I promise you. If it takes 1 foot of line it means it has eaten and is moving on. A worthy fish isnt holding half that cig out of his mouth. I use to employ your strat. Ended in gut hooked fish or fish that got into rigs and rocks.
Why do so many of these amateur film makes always refer to themselves in the first person plural? He is the only one in the boat yet: we this, we that, we are going to.....blah, blah, blah,,,,,,
Treble hooks are legal n ALABAMA STATE Waters for non Reef Species, i.e. King and Spanish Mackerel. For reef species, i.e. Snapper, You must use Non-Stainless Circle Hooks and have the Reef Fish Endorsement, as I did in the video. 👍🏻

Good to see that Senator getting some use! Was stoked to help your mom get it for you!
Dude for sure!!! It’s a great part of my collection and has slayed some fish !! 🤙🏼🇺🇸

Glad you got your other boat. I love watching you and you need a bigger boat for the fishing you do

I'm so blessed to be able to get out on the beautiful Gulf waters! It's much better than the Bavarian or South Korean winters for sure!
@@BamaSaltwater 😂 just a tiny bit.

Me too! What brand of boat is this . I’m looking for one as we speak and I’m definitely subscribing
Really enjoy your videos. I like that you tell is what you are fishing with, baot tackle etc.

Can’t wait to order my 177!

Stinger treble hooks work great freelining. Excellent for king fishing.
Braver than I am dude , thanks for show
👍👍👍
I sure would have liked to seen that first one you hooked. Really enjoy the channel.
Me too!!!!
It was a solid one for sure but gave one last pull before it came off
I only just hot a Scout 192 Sportfish this week. Only took it out yesterday morning for couple of hours to get used to it as its my 1st boat.

Damn dude. I have that same boat. That's awesome.
It's sweet for sure! It's built just right
Hey bud could you show a video of how you ran your trolling motor wires for that boat
At least you can launch & retrieve your vessel a lot more professional that some I’ve see on video in the States.
New to offshore in al. What are some good public reefs out of gulf shores orange beach.
Nice spyderco para.
This channel is growing mad fast.
Because it's so great!
🤙🏼🤙🏼🇺🇸🇺🇸
where is this platform at 😂
Another great video.
?, you wash your tackle down with fresh water after each trip. Do you do same for boat and motor?
As much as I can ! I believe in purchasing high quality gear, and taking care of the high quality gear, it'll take care of you
Hey bud can you do a video of how you ran your trolling motor wires on the boat I have the same boat looking to add a trolling motor
Did you get a discount on the new Move from power pole on your 24? Also do you jump into the water or climb over the bow to get on the trailer?
@@curry10 I wish lol. I bought it from West Marine. And I step up on the winch post and get in no issue . I never have to step in the water

how come you never run a stinger on your freelines ive always done it and it seems to help a lot when kings just swipe at your baits.
Was you ire leader 61# test, want to buy some for light off shore. Thanks and great video!! -b
Will red Snapple be out of season in October In Alabama or Florida
I was fishing dixie bar today you must have past me. lot of sharks and stingrays I got spooled with 80lb braid on reel big fish
Nice! Probably ! It was like a washing machine on the bar that day haha
Whew. That beeping would give me a headache!
Nice video, might consider a second person in these conditions and big fish near the wreck.
I'm seasick watching the video :D
ikr, I was getting there. It was a choppy day for the skiff
Really love your videos buddy great job. Question...what is all the construction work being done by the dock? Also why do the oil rigs beep if no one is working on them?
Rebuilding the fishing pier. Also rigs beep as a sound signal along with lights so as to be known and not be ran into since they're smaller.
@@BamaSaltwater ur a awsome youtuber
At the right speed you will just float like a cork, no problem. Just can’t be in a hurry to get there or to get back.
What's that noise coming from the rig?
When are you going to get a belt with a built in pole holder...you just place the butt in and now your pole is steady for those big fish...it's not cheating, just smart.
Like your content.. anyone know how to get that trolling motor that he has exactly the same??? Been looking and can’t find it anywhere.
how far out is those rigs?
2 miles all the way to 11 miles out
I was at 2 miles from shore, 4 miles from my launch
Give Fast Cast a shout out!
I love Obie, the man can build some rods.
@@BamaSaltwater They don't get any better than Obie.
Anyone who knows how to fish now uses Braided line. Smaller diameter. stronger line no need for a 👍👍Leader.
To each their own.......
I have puked getting out of the bay / whiskey bar out to the gulf - can be rough
Finish the haywire twist with a handle shape and crank until it breaks off and you won’t have a sharp end where the wire separated.
Yup . That’s what I do. Never get poked by wire that way
This boat makes me nervous...that and the bat.
I'll just stick to the inshore fishing I like to hang on to my back for a while there's no cure for back problems
Fully agree. The Army aged my back greatly unfortunately. Rucking more than my body weight didn't help much
I know this video is a year old, but I just don’t and will never understand people setting up right friggin next to you. Don’t get it.

Not letting these fish feed is a good way to come back with a half ate Cig.
