This model is so realistic . I served on one in 1969 in the MRF , TF -117 out of Dong Ha . We moored alongside an LST on ammi-pontoons. The Mark II's were a foot longer , and a bit faster , and we changed up some of the armament as time went on . Very nice job !
Its actually scrap wood from turning a Louisville Slugger baseball bat. I got it from the Louisville Slugger factory tour in KY. They have barrels of them at the end of the tour they give away as a souvenir 😀

Wow, thank you for a great compliment and sharing your experience. Very cool!
Looks like the one from 'Apocalypse Now. Excellent movie, excellent model.
Thank you. It was a fun one to build. I was drawn to it because it’s unique. I need to watch Apocalypse Now. I’ve actually never seen it.
Wow. What a result👍🏻
Thank you. It was a fun build. Probably one of my favorite scale models so far
This is a beautiful video, Captain.

I have the RC RTR and love it. I need to weather it a bit.
Thanks for sharing.
Thank you. 👍 An RC version would be awesome!
My build on this kit was one of the best enjoyable kits I had done.
Thats awesome. I agree. This one was one of my more fun builds too.
You should have used The Rolling Stones Satisfaction as the music.
🤔 That would have been cool. 👍 Thanks for watching!!
I have the model. It is the first build step. Display stand
👍
You showed the hull bottom as metal scoured. I'm pretty sure the hull was fibreglass.
Yeah. I’ve since learned that. This one is silver fiberglass 🤷♂️😀
Where did you get the figure stand for painting
