@@razvan4553 if not already answered the rear tire of the bike hit the killswitch/starter it smashed at least the starter portion in, therfore he might of been able to bump start it to limp it home, but if at any point thereafter hed have to do it again..

I couldnt imaging ripping a 500+ lb 1000cc beast on trails like this, but does it “like” or “want” to take on this type of terrain? Like is it easy to ride or do you feel youre fighting it?

Stock fork valving or an entirely different suspension? I ride my AT like a dirt bike but still on stock suspenders and well to put it lightly.. it sucks lol. Nice riding sir!
Looks awesome, well done. I fitted my Camel ADV screen brace a couple of weeks ago (managed to drop a bolt into the headlight d'oh!) and the peg support yesterday. Both great, well designed and built products.
Yes i watched the tutorial, removed the ruber from the rear of the headlight and then on 1st attempt dropped the nut straight into the tiny gap. All good. Only took me another 20 minutes to remove the whole headlight assembly to tip it upside down and remove the nut haha. Great product though. I have mine loaded up with phone, gopro, gps quadlock and 2 ram mounts for over 4000ks on dirt and not an issue.

It was awesome seeing those v twins out there this year, I was following a twin up a hill the rider fell off his bike and I ran him over, he said he was ok but I felt pretty bad about it for most of the day, Nothing but respect for you guys out there on those monsters.

Did I see you at Odessa 100 in 2019? I thought I passed an Africa Twin but didn't see one in the standings and know you were there other years. If you saw an 1190R with Saskatchewan plates and a yellow headlight, that was me
2019 was year 7 for my in the ADV class at Odessa. DNF'd unfortunately (seems to be a theme with me lately). I do remember seeing an 1190R with SK plates, how'd you make out?
@@CamelADV When I came across the finish/stage I was told I was the first big ADV bike (non-690/701) to come through but I'm not sure if that was the case, they don't list the displacement in the standings and group the 690/701's with us.
@@markrichardson2776 John Golden won on a 950ADV and Brian Englund was in there somewhere on a 950SE. Lee Bessinger (950SE) and I DNF'd. I believe the rest of the class was 690/701. You definitely had the biggest bike there this year @1190.
Camel Adv I was hoping to live Vicariously through someone this year. I got my new 800XCA a month ago and then seen the VCGP ADV class. My son was hey go for it. Not this year as I didnt have enough protection on the bike. I will be there next year with all the crash bars installed. And a whole lot of practice in the meant time. And What tires were you running. I am trying the Shinko E804f/805r right now. They seem to grab well. Again Thanks for the virtual ride. Cheers
Definitely give it a go next year, it's a riot! I had Golden 723GT tires... I like the front but the rear, m'eh. Would run a Motoz Desert HT or similar next year.

George Perhaps but I wouldn’t have headed back out on course with it like that. I was only a few minutes from the pits at that point. If I went back out on course and stalled the bike in a bad spot with no option to jump start it down a hill, it would have made recovery much more difficult.
As the race goes on and the Sunday riders thin out I'm thinking what do they have out there to compete with this guy? he's blowing past everything on the market like they're sitting still.ktm, Honda, Kawasaki, didn't look like any of them had anything for the big beast.would have been great to see you get down with the other talented riders on the other bikes but I would put my money on the AT after seeing that.bummer things ended the way they did but looks like it was fun while it lasted.

These liter bikes are rough bump starting. They have so much compression. It takes a steep hill to get my ktm 1190 to bump start.

No issues. ADV bike wheels fare much better when your suspension works properly. Bottoming = bent rims!
