I've had this power meter for months now. It is very accurate and easy to connect and calibrate. I also modified the spline to mount onto Easton style cranks, it works because they are very similar. Now I have this power meter mounted to Lexon R1 Carbon cranks.
@@RobbArmstrong1 Not much. Since the spacing for the spline is the same all you have to do is grind it down to the right shape. If you put an Easton spline over the Magene one you’ll see.
I have on for 10 months. Easy to install and nice app. I'm Magene user for years (OneLap, HR, GPS, sensors) so it was completed economic ecosystem 😉 However, I had loose left crank on left side. Lost crank arm bolt in process, 1gen. Put Shimano plastic one and torque small bolt to 15Nm. We'll see.
Hey Robb! I'm thinking about buying this PM, but I was wondering if it does support power match in the app? Basically an option to scale the calculated power, so you can match it to your other PM (e.g. kickr, etc.).
@@RobbArmstrong1 i torque them base from the manual. still creaking but i forgot to put thread locker.thanks for the tip. also do u have a solution for the frequent disconnection from the bike computer? im using garmin.
Thanks, I get to have access to infos and learn new bike techs. ❤️🚴🇵🇭

NICE!! iGotta look into these Lexon R1 Cranks now. How much modding did you have to do on that spline? 🤔

Just curious, what's the reason for mouting the Lexon crank arms? Weight saving? If so, how do they compare weight-wise?
@aplanedividedthesky #RobbArmstrong
@@aplanedividedthesky yes weight, its about 200 grams lighter.

I’d contact them about the Bolt, maybe they can supply or sell you another one, 🤷🏽♂️

What are your thoughts on the Magene PowerMeter and would you consider purchasing one? 🤷🏽♂️

I have no idea, 🤷🏽♂️ never heard of the “PowerMatch App”. Maybe check out DC RainMaker. I’m certain he has made a
Video on it.

I was going to order but i was reading they are not compatible with T47 bb trek frames! i dont want to put spacers on one side to make it clear
iHear you on that, #RobbArmstrong
i put on an ultegra chainrings to my pes powermeter, crackling noise coming from the chainring bolts. do u have a similar experience?
I do not. Did you torque them or use any thread locker? You can always disassemble and reassemble.
#RobbArmstrong
@@karl7422 if you used the supplied bolts it won’t work. You’ll need the shimano bolts if you’re using shimano chain rings.
@@boosttee yes im using shimano bolts. still creaking
