I can Not Believe you are 50! I think you are lying😉. I think you are adding 10 years onto your age. You are drop-dead Gorgeous! Any and all negative comments are coming from envious jealous people don’t give them any of your positive energy they do not deserve it. You have helped so many women by putting yourself out there. Oh yeah by the way your arms looks fabulous! I love your videos and you..... Thank You
You don't need to exercise to lose weight, but you definitely need it to build muscle and have lean body mass. As we age we lose so much lean mass, we need to do something to keep it. Also, building muscle allows us to eat consume more calories and stay fit.
Helene C probably because you eat carbs. I’m 55 and have been in ketosis for 5 years. I don’t have to cut calories to burn fat. My body automatically does it for me. The benefits of my body fuelling itself through fat not carbs. I exercise for strength not weight loss. Cheers! 🙂
You are so right - it all starts with what we put in our body. Exercise is important for cardio-vascular health and muscle-building, but no amount of exercise will make you healthy if you aren't putting the right fuel in your body. You are on a great path!
Totally agree, you can't out exercise a bad diet. I walk each day for my health and if I lose a bit of weight woohoo! .. but first and for most have a great naturally healthy diet.
Most Dr.s aren't educated on this nutrition, ..keto, autophagy getting rid of the inflammation. They just want to give u a prescription that doesn't work or puts a bandaid on the actual problem. Feeling sharp in my mind...its awesome. Not feeling the carb or pasta fog is great. Having a flat stomach at 52 is amazing! So happy for you Lisa ❤ keep it up!
@@LisaLisaD1 I am a hairstylist (15yr) and talk to SO many ppl who are suffering and it makes me so sad. We do have to be our own health advocates! 💋💋💋❤❤❤
Weight is a symptom of health... health is mostly what you put in your body daily. I am a fitness and health professional and have preached and preached that weight loss is what you put in your mouth and how you fuel your body. Exercise is for making us feel good , strong, and prevent us from injury as we age. It’s a journey for each of us and we have to be our own advocate and figure out what works for us at that time. It’s so great that you are opening so many women’s eyes to this truth......congratulations on getting your health and happy back 💋
Lisa- there are more of us who LOVE to hear your story than those that don’t. Pay them no attention and keep doing what you love. It’s inspiring to hear about your journey ❤️
It is not a must but it definitely makes your body look better, esp. when you loose weight. Helps to tighten and tone and that is so important when you are more mature. It is a combination of both. I have seen many lose weight with diet alone but without exercise, they just looked thin and flabby.
Another good saying is “you can’t exercise your way out of a bad diet”. I know exactly what you mean about the frustration with the emphasis on exercise instead of the correct foods for your body. Thank you for sharing all this knowledge!! You are inspiring.
Lisa. You are helping me. I love doing this with you. Less than a week and i am feeling so much better. I’ve been wanting to cut sugar/carbs for a while and because of YOU I am doing it and i feel terrific!!! Five days in 5 lbs down so far. I’m in it for the long haul. It’s a marathon not a sprint. Thank you thank you for all your information.
Don't worry about what other people say. Thank you for sharing your experiences with us. Best to you on your journey. I hope you continue to feel good!! Take care Lisa!!!!
For all women over 40- If you fight for your limitations you get to keep them. Why limit yourself to one area of health? A body in motion stays in motion- joints, heart, muscles, brain, gut etc are all making connections, never limit yourself to size. I’ve see lots to marathoners who look gaunt and unhealthy, bc we are not meant to beat our bodies up! We all have beautiful and complex bodies and it shows in how we treat them, from ailments to illness. Lisa, Im SO happy you are sharing your journey. Adore you!! Keep sharing! I Am glad that you have found something that ignites movement in you - walking has great studies on how healthy it is for you, so keep walking that beach loop 🏖 you gorgeous one! xoxo 🥰🤍
Thank you for your honesty . I have heard it’s 80/20 - what you eat vs exercise . I am entering week 2 thanks to your inspiration. And I am still happy and feeling great! Btw , you explained autophagy very well yesterday. I have been with you for a while and you look and sound waaay different. You seem so happy! Now that you feel so good, it makes sense you can start to exercise now. You explain keto very well.
Hi Lisa! I watch every video you post, love how sweet and honest you are...so refreshing! Please know the majority of us love and appreciate your post and honesty. Everyone seems to have an opinion and wants to voice it...please ignore them! You never know the difference you could be making in someone's life! You're doing what works for you and makes YOU feel your best...you're stunningly beautiful! I'm 52, been Keto for just over a year now, lost 80 lbs with little exercise, no saggy skin anywhere and feel better than I did as a size 3 ten years ago when I started gaining weight....I feel AMAZING and my labs are fantastic. Much love 🤗😘
One of my favorite sayings is.....You can’t outrun a bad diet”. I have read so many of your subs comments that are so old & outdated related to current science. You go girl!
I had surgery and was unable to workout for 5 months. I watched my diet very carefully during that time and lost 17 pounds. I was thin but weak. Once I started working out again...I become stronger and much more toned. I looked much better.
Thank you so much for being open & transparent with your journey! I have been watching you for several years & I truly admire your commitment to being genuine! I’ve sincerely enjoyed this series & the emphasis on doing what’s right for you as an individual.
You definitely do not need exercise to lose weight but the health benefits are beyond the weight loss...mentally and physically. Plus I am fit at 49 because I do yoga, weights, and Pilates, do intermittent fasting and eat clean.
19mimi63 yes exercise improves cognitive abilities, flow of oxygen, blood and nutrients to the brain and protects the brain against things that hurt it, such as sugar levels. It also decreases inflammation, fat cells, weight, and increases metabolism - and that doesn’t even cover the benefits to the stress response system. Essentially without it, you are not tackling health holistically. As a doctorate in clinical psychology student, I read the studies and research on this every day and there just isn’t anything that can reverse aging...yes reverse it, as combining exercise with nutrients.
Omg Lisa! Thank you very much for all the latest video about your weight loss journey. The have been so relatable. I am 49 years old and have been experiencing all the crazy symptoms of menopause. Some days I just want to cry... I don’t feel myself and for the most part I feel awful. I gained 30 pounds and I so understand where you come from..... when you talk about your journey it sounds like my own. Thank you for sharing your story, it has definitely brought me some inspiration to continue trying and find out what works for me. Thank you!!
Lisa I lost my weight without exercise too! Please do not let anyone talk you out of sharing everything. I so appreciate it and there are many that you are helping.❤️
Lisa, YOU ARE SO REAL, love you. I am 55 I have a couple of medical issues that I deal with and, like you, that makes our journey different. Your honesty is much appreciated by many here I'm sure, so try not to let the negative people get to you. I enjoy your personality. I am so happy to hear that you feel so good because that is really what we all want, right?
Hooray for you Lisa. I have been doing Keto & Intermittent fasting for over 2 years. I never look back. I feel so good. I'm 68 plus years & it's the best reward you can give yourself. Best of Luck to you.
Lisa, I'm sure these videos have inspired a lot of women...I know you have inspired me with your enthusiasm! So glad you are feeling so much better. So many of us think that if we don't exercise a day, we have failed on our diet but you are absolutely right...it's more what goes in our mouths! The hardest part for me some days, especially being at home more, is having the willpower to say, "No!" to excessive snacking....and once I start...it's so dang hard to stop!
Lisa, Thanks for not listening to those people who can not eat bacon. Bless their little hearts. Keep talking to us the way you do and we, your friends, will listen and do what suits us appropriately
Lisa, I am so identifying with everything you are saying. So many people are made to feel guilty if they don't do some strenuous exercise. It is the diet we need to get a handle on. Something as simple as walking and lifting some arm weights has helped me tremendously. I intermittent fast and I eat what I want in moderation and I am losing weight. Thank you for your honesty. Janet
I’m so happy for you . Can totally relate to what you’re saying. I’m 57 and I was eating “healthy “ and working out and didn’t feel good . I also have a small frame at 5’7” and weight doesn’t look or feel good on me . I’ve known about keto for a long time but , didn’t believe it until I’ve seen you and your journey . I have felt very depressed and down about how I look and feel lately. I was even afraid to get on the scale . You have given me the courage to get on that scale and start my journey. My husband and I are doing it together and even in one day feel a bit better and have had some results . We have a scale that tracks and measures body mass, fat , BMI , bone density , muscle mass and water so I can tell what’s really going on . I feel that you are an honest person and I trust what you say . Thank you for being you 💕
Lisa, I really like this and could not agree more! I have always been thin but do have trouble with my tummy now that I’m 45. But I’ve found I can control it with waiting to be TRULY hungry (not starving) but listening to my body. Great message!👍🏻
Lisa now that what you're doing is working for you, That's when you stop listening to other people that are not in your skin.... let them find what works for them - you do you ;) I was an avid gym goer for many many years up until about 5 years ago.... as I got older (I'm 67 now) - the weights I use to use all the time suddenly started to have a negative affect on me - tennis elbow here, pulled back muscles there, neck strains etc.... sooooo I stopped with all the weights and heavy gym classes - Now I walk (every day) and will do pilates 2x a week at home . I don't eat processed fast foods at all..... and try to stay away from all cakes/cookies - those kinds of sugars...and it works for me! No pain/ no BP issues and no diabetes!! Good Luck on your journey - you look happy and amazing xo
Lisa I’ve been watching you for years and years and I always want to just tell you that you are amazing for sharing everything and anyone who comes back with a mean or negative comment don’t give them the time of day those of us that love you will always be here for you❤️
You are so right, Lisa! We can not out exercise a bad diet. Many on TH-cam push exercise to get the physique we desire. However, they absolutely know that one will never achieve the toned bady without getting ones diet in check. We love your honesty ❤️ 😊
I love you, Sister. I'm 15 years older than you, and learned many lessons the hard way. You do you, and I'll do me. This is working for you; you're happy, healthy and sassy. Congratulations on finding what is making your life good again!
Just want to thank you so much for sharing all of your research! I am 51 and have been struggling with my weight for 5 years. I haven’t felt good about myself in so long. Your recent health videos have inspired me to not lose hope. You have been a gift!!!
I swear can’t people just be kind and watch you without criticism, I’m enjoying every video you’ve done on this journey and I truly appreciate it all. It’s so sad you have to watch what you say so as not to get hateful or cruel mean comments, there will always be haters, you just keep being you Lisa. I’m learning a lot from you and I hope you continue to share it with us who truly care and love and support you. For us older gals there is so much information out on the web on what you should or shouldn’t be doing to lose weight, at my age 66 it’s gets overwhelming and confusing, so personally I am so happy you are sharing what has worked for you cause it might work for someone like me.💖🥰
I don't know why people are saying don't worry what others are saying because I have not read ONE negative comment about today's subject matter, anyway, I love hearing a good 'ole success story. You've been searching for relief 4 years now and it's about time. WOOOO HOOO!!!! It's all about how you feel. I personally LOVE doing stretching. LIKE A CAT!
“You can not exercise your way out of a bad diet!” Sooo true! You are doing great, look fabulous and are an inspiration! Thank you so much for daring to be vulnerable!
I have been doing keto & intermittent fasting for about a decade. My immune system and health are at their best when follow this routine. Anyway, just wanted to say, you are one of the kindest and most gracious individuals on TH-cam. Just came across your videos about a week ago and am happy to subscribe. 😊
You go girl! You do you! I’m on board because the proof is in how you feel! I’m sick of being sick (IBS) I’ve never felt so alone in my flares and I’m simply done! I’ll do whatever it takes to be well! I’ve done everything including the low FODMAP diet bought the app and everything! I’m done! Keto and intermittent fasting is helping me and I’m sticking to it and I don’t give a rip what anyone thinks! Thank you for sharing
You keep on doing what is right for you and what makes you feel good! Never mind the negative things people post because you are helping so many people including me. Thank you for that Lisa😊
I agree what you eat is the main component and exercise is just a factor, I hated working out and then started because I want to become a bit more fit and I must say I fell in love with it. The way it makes me feel mentally is what makes it worth it to me! Keep enjoying your journey xx
I totally agree with you ... I am starting today with keto. I am carb sensitive and think I might have leaky gut which I am addressing. Being 61 I do use a a small trampoline outside to help with bone density and I don’t follow the metabolic diet but I do like Jade Teda’s philosophy of exercising . I am an outdoor person and look forward to the cooler weather here in Ga to walk and ride my bike. I love your videos and you look amazing. You are truly an inspiration to me. Thank you so much!!!
Hi Lisa, I've been on the keto for 11 mos and hope to never go back to the SAD way of eating again. I knew you must have been watching Dr Berg from some of your comments, love his white board breakdowns. I'm 57 and unfortunately have a lot of sagging in my butt and thighs. I lift weights for muscle strength and need to get back to my walking. I can tell how passionate you are about low carb, never let anyone stop you from preaching the keto word!!
I *love* how raw and real you’ve been lately, Lisa. I always have loved watching you, and the more of your authentic self you reveal, the better your videos get! Truly!
Lisa please do not allow those people to sway your decision to share this information with us. It has only been a week or so since I started lo carb and it has made a huge difference already! I am feeling so much better!!! I owe that to you totally. So please keep going! 🤗😉😘
Weight loss starts in the kitchen. As a former marathon runner (25 marathons, 1 ultra) I never lost a pound running. However, long distance running helped “re-arrange” things which resulted in smaller dress sizes. That said, your heart and lungs need a work out. Also, there is such a thing as “skinny fat”.
Lisa thank you so much for sharing your experience. I've done low carb like you for many years and was able to loose weight quickly before doing that. Now at 49 my body doesn't respond the same, no matter what I would do I kept gaining weight and I felt awful. You have inspired me to start Carnivore and eventually will move into KETO. 11 days doing Carnivore and I've lost 7lbs and my blood pressure has normalized. I truly appreciate all of your research and hard work and dedication to help us.
I am proud of your videos and honestly.I am the person who has same issues as you .I feel bad ,I feel dat and looser too.I always listen other people. If someone tell me they don’t like my purse I will not wear it anymore.I always want to look good and dress up nice, but was judging by my husband. He would say who do you think you are ,you have bread 🍞 and be thankful. And I do appreciate all things and thankful for my kids and everything I have .I got to the point that I feel hopeless and big looser .But I did think a lot about my life and decided to do change.I start going to college at my 40 ,I told my husband I don’t want to be in relationship with him anymore,I been doing Keto diet ,I feel much better now.The only thing that I cannot change Is my grey hair that I got with all my stress.Be yourself and thanks for all sharing you do on your channel.🌺🌺🌺
I'm so happy I read the part where you left your husband. He was not kind to you. I am glad you have your children though. If you like something as a purse, you wear it. Style is so unique and a personal thing. Anything goes. I think your 40's is going to be good to you. Good luck. Also remember there are ways to cover those gray hairs if you want!
At 1 min & 42 seconds, I had to stop and write this comment. The majority of us viewers understand everything your saying and we're so enjoying you saying what's coming from your heart. Please don't let those few, who start the voices in you head, control or influence your speaking your mind. Be strong and keep up this wise time in your life. Sending strengthening love your way. 💕
I am loving this series on your new way of eating, etc! I have been experimenting with a similar protocol and I can’t believe how good I feel. Thank you for sharing!
I am amazed how you have retained all this knowledge over such a short period of time. I have been living the Keto lifestyle for 3 years. You are really a smart person Lisa. Thank you for your inspiration.
Don’t let the doubters bother you. I’m loving this and you are most definitely back to happy Lisa 💋 it’s really showing in your voice, your face, your mannerisms ... the sparkle is back!!!
I could not agree with you more. Have you seen Dr. Fung’s lecture on the lack of excess skin while fasting? I have been following him and his principles for over two years now. Wow, what a wonderful doctor! Thanks for using your platform to share this important information.
Lisa you are doing everything right... Hey I moved a piece of furniture from my living room to put my treadmill in its place... I watch you and all of my other You Tubers and before I realize it I have walked 3 miles...I only walk 3 times a week with my intermittent fasting...I eat my first meal at 2:00 and then my last meal is at 7:00... My energy has improved so much...You look AMAZING and I'm so proud of you😘💟
I respect you for doing what works for you. I’m 58 and I watch what I eat, but exercise is key to feeling my best. As I aged dieting alone did not work. I suffer form many stomach ailments. It took a long time to realize I can’t do salads. Giving up most produce solved my stomach ailments. It’s all about what works for you.
Lisa, Just found your channel and love your message. We are all different in resolving our health issues because the first part of our lives and our genetics that got us where we are currently are different. Keto works at keeping my inflammation down and psoriasis under control. I took a break over the summer and it has been costly.....swelling, poor sleep, psoriasis inflamed! One week back and my swelling from inflammation has improved. A lot of my current journey will be determining was triggers my psoriasis and inflammation. I know one is processed sugar. Thanks for the encouragement for this 53 year old, post menopausal woman with thyroid disease!
Lisa... Even though I may not agree with everything.... Thank you for being so open and honest, about your personal journey. Very brave! Looking great! ❤️
I’m a fellow carnivore - 2 years as of this month. Also in menopause. I have had great success with feeling better on CV, but not so much with the weight loss. I also have cortisol problems, so that’s probably why. Enjoying your channel - thank you! I know there is a lot of backlash when you go against mainstream views. Stay strong!
I'll tell ya I used to love you for your hauls and makeup tutorials. But talking about your journey has changed me. I'm in my 50s and feel the same things your feeling. I'm gonna follow you along your journey and see how it works for me. Thank you so much for all the wonderful information you've given me.
You have inspired me soooo much Lisa!!! I’m 55 and have experienced most if not all of the symptoms you describe. Thank you for doing all the research and providing links as I am slowly working my way through them and already feel more positive. Xx
Please, please don’t let people influence what you say!! Whether you know it are not...you are helping thousands of people like me Lol!! Love listening to your journey!!!❤️
Lisa said it! I’ve been saying this for a long time but I gained so much weight last year due to depression. I’m pregnant now and I’m just so disappointed in myself for gaining weight. Can’t lose weight now because of pregnancy. All I can do is eat healthily and take light exercise. You really got to conquer your mind and emotions. Easier said than done.
You are right!! What you eat can help your skin, body more than exercise - drinking tons of water, eating green, red, yellow and orange veggies and getting in healthy fats and protein!! I have lost 45 lbs doing this and at 61 years of age - my body is certainly adjusting to this VERY WELL!!
Lisa, this is so good.... I use to watch trainers in the gym pushing very overweight people to do difficult exercises and I use to think, just teach them the basics until they lose some of their weight. I use to feel so sorry for these people because you could tell it was so difficult yet they wouldn't speak up to their trainer. Anyway, great video ! Thank you.
I absolutely love you. I especially love you views and honesty. Don’t listen to people who want to argue your beliefs. We need to support each other and what works for them. You are a great toke model for us women past menopause and 50 ❤️
If you only exercise for weight loss and once you reach your goal, what happens when you stop exercising? Or for that matter stop your eating plan. I really believe a person needs to figure out something that they think they can stick with, longterm. Having said that Lisa you may be interested in a couple of Videos from 50plusbeauty. Beth has 2 short videos (less than 12 mins) ones for butt, hips and thighs and another one for arms and shoulders. I have started doing the “butt” one mon,wed and fri. Then I do the “arm” one Tues and Thurs. I think they are very effective and best of all short. That way it doesn’t feel like a really uphill battle and I am less likely to “not” exercise.... You have always looked fab but the 22 lbs you have lost and your happiness makes you look especially fab. You keep being you.
I appreciate your journey so much! I had a wise Dr. Tell me years ago that “I wasn’t listening to my body”, boy was he right! You are listening and its flourishing. I also have learned that crazy exercise isn’t necessary- I’m 54 and realize that at my age I need to keep my lungs in good shape (who doesn’t with COVID-19) - so cardio like a brisk 20 minute walk is good... also, stretching yoga is a must for posture and spine hygiene. As we get older we bend over and our joints get stiffer, I’ve found basic yoga stretches miraculous. Xoxo xoxo
Lovely to see you so happy Lisa. I actually do WW (well I’ve been maintaining for years) and that works for me, but I do fasting along side of it, and I agree I always feel better in the morning, lighter and fresh. Lots of love xx
Totally agree! Its all about what you put in your body. I do love doing yoga, it never feels like a workout just clears the mind, body and soul. I do get really toned though when I do it consistently. Idk if you or maybe even Brooke might be interested, boho beautiful here on you tube is amazing! Her words throughout her practice are so inspiring🧘♀️
I'm glad you feel better. We just can't focus so very much on outward appearance and focus on our hearts and serving others and feeling joy in life. Our beauty is fleeting, and it's good to care and be on top of our looks, etc. but not focus too much on it and let it become an idol and a focus that keeps us obsessive. Love your channel.
Hi Lisa! I am a long time subscriber and I just love your channel. I watch every video every week. I appreciate you sharing your weight loss story with us. Now that I’m in my 40’s it’s very difficult for me to lose weight. You have really inspired me to try losing weight again. You look great! You always do. I shared your video on your weight loss with my sister. Thank you for having the courage to share your success. ❤️
Lisa, I am so happy you are doing this video! I am here for it. At almost 52 years old and I have all the same problems.....you are giving me motivation!! Keep these videos coming!
You look absolutely gorgeous. I'm in my late 40s and started the the same journey your on and lost 4lbs in a week with no excercise. Thank you for being honest and speaking your truth🙏( we're listening). Congratulations on all your progress👏
Lisa, 😍😘😋 I really hope you read this comment! 👍💄I am 54 and need a knee replacement, I have to lose weight, and have tried so hard. Just so you know your truthfulness makes a huge difference!! I started the interment fasting and Keto. So far so good!!!! Would never of even considered it had I not watched your video!!! THANK YOU!!!👜
Lisa thank you so much for being so real and honest. I am at the point you’re talking about what you went through right now in my life. I’m discouraged about my 25lbs over weight, tired all the time, and feeling I’ll never feel good again. But I’m going to try do some things you’re doing❤️
I've heard a fitness trainer say weight depends 75% diet and 25% exercise. So, I absolutely agree with you and thank you for the time you put into imparting these experienced and information to us!
Lisa, I could write pages about my last 5 months on Keto and how much it has improved my life. I’m 59, always weighed about the same till menopause. I’m back to the weight I’ve always been with absolutely no pain anywhere in my body. I haven’t had a migraine, a UTI, I’ve even had a skin tag go away! Annnnnnnd I’m never hungry. I feel the same about exercise and have joined many gyms.....I find now that walking and running a tad works best for me. Keto has changed my life both physically and mentally it brings tears to my eyes! Thank you Lisa.
You’re so right, Lisa! I exercise because I love it and I do it for my mental health and overall general heart health, but to control your weight, it’s not a must. You can’t out exercise a bad diet! Thank you so much for being so transparent and sharing your journey. PS I laughed so hard when you said you can’t outrun your teeth. 🤣
Girl You always look fierce! I’m loving these videos and you sharing your journey. I’ve been listening to Suzanne Somers and she believes in eating grass fed organic red meat and bacon. I appreciate you sharing your journey. I have been doing keto since February and was feeling like I was in a rut and your videos gave me much needed inspiration to keep going. Please try to not give the minority of nay sayers on here too much energy. Ignore those squeaky wheels and focus on the majority who value your input. I find the links so helpful and I feel like these videos have really added more layers and depth to your content...you’re becoming a true lifestyle and beauty Coach! Loving it! 😍
Love this video. Thank you for opening up. I’m 49 and just got a spinal fusion. I can’t do any crazy exercises right now and definitely feeling blue. You’re giving me hope. Please keep sharing this journey. I need this. You’re beautiful! 💕
Thank you for sharing your journey Lisa, you are beautiful & you look amazing! For me it’s all about getting your GUT HEALTH right & fueling your body with proper nutrition & premium grade vitamins. I’m 56, a vegetarian, walk for my cardio & yoga for toning & I drink lots of water! I feel better now at 56 than I ever did in my 40s....because 5 yrs ago I took charge of my life & made the choice to change my lifestyle & I’m so happy I did! You keep doing what works for you girl!❤️
Lisa don’t worry too much what others will say ..you have found what works for you and you look marvelous I’m so happy for you
Of course you like people that agree w you and tell you how good you look, but they are not challenging you or helping you grow.
Building muscle also makes us strong, which protects us is from injury / falls as we get older. Keeps our bones strong too.
I disagree, I need to exercise and cut calories to loose weight. Without exercise I would never loose; I’m menopausal one year now...
But is it easier to build the muscle after you have lost a number of pounds and do not have to lug around the extra pounds.
People think I lift weights. I have two 5 pound dumbbells, a 15 pound kettlebell, and a yoga mat. And, walking shoes 💪
Helene C probably because you eat carbs. I’m 55 and have been in ketosis for 5 years. I don’t have to cut calories to burn fat. My body automatically does it for me. The benefits of my body fuelling itself through fat not carbs. I exercise for strength not weight loss. Cheers! 🙂
This series your doing Lisa is SO GOOD!!! Keep speaking your truth and screw the haters 😊
Thank you, Trisha!! 😘 Lisa
LisaLisaD1 Amen sista!
You are so right - it all starts with what we put in our body. Exercise is important for cardio-vascular health and muscle-building, but no amount of exercise will make you healthy if you aren't putting the right fuel in your body. You are on a great path!

Thank you, Dawn! 💖 Lisa
It is not a must but it definitely makes your body look better, esp. when you loose weight. Helps to tighten and tone and that is so important when you are more mature. It is a combination of both. I have seen many lose weight with diet alone but without exercise, they just looked thin and flabby.
I agree! ❤️
Lisa, ty for sharing everything about your journey. You are so beautiful inside and out. 💖
Another good saying is “you can’t exercise your way out of a bad diet”. I know exactly what you mean about the frustration with the emphasis on exercise instead of the correct foods for your body. Thank you for sharing all this knowledge!! You are inspiring.
Thank you, Janine! 🥰 Lisa
Thank you, Suzanne! 🥰 Lisa
@@LisaLisaD1 you are more confident xoxo
I’m going to have to steal that saying, thanks for sharing it 😃
I had surgery and was unable to workout for 5 months.
I'm so thankful for you. Its 80/20. 80% is what we eat, 20% is exercise 💪. Walking is the BEST exercise we can ever do.
I always heard & believe “you can’t out exercise a bad diet” & “abs are made in the kitchen”. TY for sharing Lisa! Keep up the great work!
Thank you for being you 💕
I just love you so much! I’m 41, pre-menopause, and appreciate your honesty. Sending you nothing but love and light. Keep doing what you do! 💕
Thanks so much for being authentic and sharing your story! It's really encouraging!
Just want to thank you so much for sharing all of your research! I am 51 and have been struggling with my weight for 5 years. I haven’t felt good about myself in so long. Your recent health videos have inspired me to not lose hope. You have been a gift!!!
You are RADIATING happiness in your videos lately and it warms my heart to see 🤍 it is truly inspiring!! You do you, girl!!! 🙌
Truly!
DO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING! I love these videos. Your amazing! I also love seeing you every day:)
Exactly--agree on all of that!! Thank you, Barbara! 💕 Lisa
I just turned 49 & feel like crap!! I just watched Dr. Berg. This is such a smart way to eat!! I’m ready to start this journey too!!
No truer words have ever been spoken! Thank you so much for bringing us with you on your journey! It's more inspiring than you'll ever know!!💓
I am loving this series on your new way of eating, etc!
You're making so many fabulous points. Proud of you and appreciate this series. Love your truth and sharing your thoughts. Love this.
I’m doing the ketogenic diet since May, I cannot believe the difference in my body and mental health, and I feel great and look great. Love it.
You are such a genuine person. Ditch the haters. Hugs! So glad to hear you have figured out what makes YOU feel better. 😘
Lisa great video and I agree with you 100%...I’m so happy you found what works for you.💕💕
Lisa said it!
Thank you.
Thanks for sharing Lisa. You are keeping me motivated!
Hi Amen Lisa I was at the gym for 2 years and lost zero. They said it's food food food that's the key... Love u
Xoxo xoxo
I just love your journey and all your advice! You are honest and to the point and I just love listening to you. I can’t wait for more! 🥰🤗
Lord Girl lol the haters are gonna come for you!! But you just STAND FIRM! This is YOUR story to tell. Thank you for being so Bold.
Lisa you are an inspiration for me I'm starting my wellness journey now that I'm out of a abusive work place. Love you and your family 😊😘
Lisa you do you and please share some of us want to hear it .Block the ones who have bad things to say cause you dont need that stress
She said the vitamins and minerals in those foods help with our skins lipid barrier.
But I respect everyone’s choice to eat what works for them.
I have GOT to read her books!! When that was all the rage, menopause was NOT on my mind!! 😜💗 Lisa
@@LisaLisaD1 You should also go to her virtual "cocktail parties" on Facebook. They are usually on Tuesday and Friday evenings at 8;00. She also does a healthy cooking show usually on Wednesday afternoons. It is on her facebook page. You can even watch the older videos. She is really very knowledgeable regarding health/wellness/diet/lifestyle. You look great Lisa, and thanks for sharing with us. Love the new talk videos,XOX!!
FYI, she also sells state of the art organic vitamins/supplements/beauty. Give her videos a look/see. You won't be sorry!
I am all in on this journey with you. Have such a similar story and now I feel like a have someone that really understands the struggle we go through.
