S6 is a masterclass of a season. Even though I watched it at 2 in the morning, I was glued to the screen wanting to see what happened next. While I'll admit I was slightly disappointed "The Red Wedding" wasn't red enough (if you catch my drift), it was a very solid season. One of my friends on Discord loved it as well. He said it was a return to form for the series and I couldn't agree more. "We All Fall Down" might be my favorite episode of the whole show. Viren's final stand, Aaravos killing Sol Regem, and the destruction of Katolis were so well done. And if Jason Simpson or Racquel Belmonte aren't nominated for their performances this season, I'm going to be so mad. They knocked it out of the park. I'm excited for S7, but also not ready to say goodbye to The Dragon Prince just yet.

I was late for the show as well. I didn't watch the Dragon Prince on Netflix a little bit after Season 5 was released. I fell in love with the show from the first episode, and the characters including Callum, Ezren and Rayla. Sure Rayla was skeptical around humans, but she wanted to do the right thing for her people, and it made me somewhat liked Rayla for her backstory. Callum is my favorite character in the franchise, because he wanted to find his place in the world and he found it on the journey to the Storm Spiral. Finally he found it through magic, and friendship. Ezren had to grow up too fast because he was the next in line of the throne of Katolis. As I progressed through the show with each season and episode it showed me how much people can make their own destiny and make their own choices based on what they want, and what is right. Callum is the definition of my character. Sarcastic, loyal, dorky, smart, kind, humble, and never stops to do the right thing to help others. Also I love dragons, and the dragons in this show was so beautiful and majestic. The designs and everything was perfect. Zubeia is one of my favorite dragons in there.❤❤❤❤ My heart goes out for this show, the creators, and the staff for all their hard work.❤❤❤❤❤
My most favorite is also season six second season three is pretty decent because it did have some moments and also more connection and that final battle was actually sick

I picked this show up just a few months ago and i gotta say its amazing. i binged 1-5 in 2 days with little to no break. i was hooked. i even bought some of the books and side pieces. And i gotta say your ranking is pretty much right on the mark. i personally LOVED season 5. im not one to be bothered by maybe slight animation fumbles or gaps in plots that writers may have had to change to meet the demand of their own industry deadlines aslong as it doesnt take away from the aesthetic of the show itself(but i think thats a topic for itself haha) . so i would personally rank 5 higher. Mainly because of finnegrin i loved this character and wish only he had more screen time!!
I have a theory for S7 What if Aaravos possesses Callum and Rayla is forced to kill him, but after his „Death“ he is put on the Cosmic Trial for being a Human who conjures Magic, but he somehow manages to convince the Trial that he must stop Aaravos so they revive him

I like how unimpressed you sound in the recap lol. whoever doesn’t watch the whole thing, isn’t a true HAYMES/TDP fan! But I agree with you on this literally completely. I started the show in 2021, waited for season 4, it wasn’t that good and I forgot about the show until season 5, I liked it so I kept in touch with the community, and then 6 came out and I absolutely loved it, hence why I created this channel!
My favorite episode of all of the Dragon prince was season 6 episode 8. The combination of Aaravos laughing at sol and the animation of his laughing just made him seem so much more sinister than I have ever seen him.
Plus don’t forget the sick irony that made season 5 context change in season 6 I would like rankings of all the adult themes and which is the best message that has the most meaning from a mature perspective Like I said rhw irony of the battlefield of season 5 finale changes a lot now.
Season 6 is no. 1 so far, season 3 and 2 are my two other favourites Season 6- The Red Wedding because I loved the blossoming friendship between Ezran and Aanya and it was so nice to see Janai and Amaya again and their marriage scene was really sweet and beautiful 😊❤ Season 1- Cursed Caldera because of the JerkFace Dance and Lujanne and it was just really fun to watch everyone dealing with the monsters together, this episode was a lot of fun to watch Season 3- Heroes and Masterminds because I just love Nyx as a character who's really witty, eccentric and has a great sense of humour and Ioved Soren because he selflessly looked out for Ezran and how much he cared for him and looked out for him Season 2- Breaking the Seal and Heart of the Titan because I just loved seeing Harrow's memories and getting to finally meet Sarai, I really loved her as a character
Ok this may be my personal bias because I started this show when I was in third grade but I still love season 1 as my all time favorite and I think it doesn't get the recognition it deserves and the story line between Runann and Rayla was absolutely beautiful as in my opinion he was her real father. (Also BTW this is my ranking 6. Season 4, 5. Season 5, 4. Season 2, 3. Season 3, 2. Season 6, 1. Season 1 The goat
For me: 6) Season 4 (Best: episode 3) 5) Season 5 (Best: 8, maybe9) 4) Season 1 (Best: 3, 3) Season 2 (Best: 5, 6, 9, Villads) 2) Season 6 (Best: 5, 6, 8, maybe 9) 1) Season 3 (Best: 1,2, 5, 8, 9... All of them). I prefer the first saga, because in its (apparent) simplicity, it knew how to handle things better, while season 6, although at higher moments than season 3, also has other much lower ones, such as the Karim revolt, which was finally getting interesting. Or in the finale, there's the beautiful story of Aaravos, but at the same time there's the story of Rayla with her parents, which for a season finale, isn't that powerful, and doesn't seem to be tied to the main story (apart from the Qasar diamond). And there continues to be the problem of comedy. For example, after Viren's death, there is the scene of Lujanne's massage, which is too opposite to Viren's dramatic death. However, it remains a excellent season
I'm glad season 1 episode 3 is your favorite like mine. I think some people forget how good it is. Everything starts going down and getting serious. Plus, the fight scenes are so good.
Honestly, I heavily agree with your rankings, I would just swap Seasons 6 and 3. I've rewatched the first 3 seasons a couple of times over Covid and it's just what increased my love of this show. Season 3 had such an impact on me during that hard time, it's just hard to beat and I still need to rewatch Season 6 so I could change my mind then.

I was late too getting on board with TDP. I had put off watching the new series of She-ra. I grew up with the original and it and Jem and the Holigrams were my fav shows when I was a little girl. To this day, Sailor Moon is now my fav show ever. I do love TDP and Rayllum but never will ever beat SM. Anyway, I finally decided to watch all the seasons of She-ra and then the 5th and final season was coming out in 2 weeks after I finished watching. Well, Netflix kept bombarding me with TDP for 4 days straight in May 2020, so since I had to wait, I finally gave in and started watching TDP. OMG!!! I fell in love with the show and kept rewatching the all the season 3 times I think and I didn't watch She-ra until 2 weeks after it came out. Season 3 was my fav but Season 6 might tie it now. I will post a separate comment with my fav season and episode list. I have to go through the entire episode list to make sure I have the correct titles.

@@ReelJames don't get me wrong, I love season 1. However, while I loved it the first time I saw it, it feels almost empty when rewatching it. When compared to the other seasons it feels like almost nothing "big" or "dramatic" happens. I understand that it is meant to introduce everything and everyone however that makes it so I have a hard time rewatching it.
I really hope arc three happens I absolutely love this show and I have to say Aanya is my favorite side character so I’m really excited to see her in season seven.
My opinion might be controversial, but I would rank the seasons from worst to best: Season 4 Season 5 Season 6 Season 1 Season 2 Season 3 The reasoning is that the first 3 seasons had something to them that the next arc just couldn’t capture. I can’t really explain it, but it was this sense of adventure and awe. Every character had an arc and contributed to the story like pieces in a puzzle, whereas the next 3 seasons felt like they had too many characters and some barely did anything for the story (like Zym). The first 3 seasons also had that amazing hand drawn look to them, as well as so much more polish in terms of lighting and facial expressions. While I love the whole show, that beginning arc has something unique and special that puts it above the rest.

Seasons 1,2,3 is my favorite season sorry I can't pick because they flow so well together followed by season 6. Amazing what they did with Claudia and Viren. Not a big fan of 4 and 5 so it's a toss up

I personally enjoyed more the last episode of season 7. It was pretty emotive especially me who thought that Soren almost died. I loved it. That episode was pretty good.
Here's MY ranking....starting from the 6(6 is the lowest and 1 is the best NOT SAYING I DON'T HATE THESE SEASON JUST REMEMBER THAT :) #6 Season 4: For me Season 4 was good but I wasn't really fond of how the events were all over the place. It's wasn't necessarily badly paced in each episode but it's here you have Callum crying over Rayla, in the next you have him distancing himself from her, there's an event for Zubeia and Zym, Ibis dies, The Team goes on an epic adventure then you have a tribunal, Callum get possessed, etc. It's just all these things they put are great in all but at the same time it's also like they just crammed everything and rushed it. #5 Season 2: I really enjoyed Season 2 but I feel like the only exciting thing we got was the Introduction to Zym and our GOAT Blind and narcoleptic captain Villads. I don't know if it was just me but I wasn't paying attention to what things were going on back at Katolis I was only watching Team Zym and where they were at. I want to believe this was good but............. I dance on Viren's grave, he's evil and I remember this season was what made me go from each season like s1-dislike s2-hate s3- Hate s4- HATE s5- HHAATTEE s6- STILL HHHHAAAATTTTEEE. There were some good moments but I can't really bring up any. #4 Season 5: I loved season 5...it's just that I didn't like how we didn't get enough Aarovos screen time, I didn't like what was going on with Viren, and I'm VERY offended that they focused more Terry and Claudia's relationship more than our beloved Rayllum. Sure they still had moments but we were just introduced to Terry and Claudia and they get to kiss c'mon. #3 Season 1: I was debating this with s3 but s1 has to be here. There's nothing actually wrong with it I didn't have any flaws it's just I like s3 more. I will always love s1 because this is the season where we're introduced to the characters for the first time and in the same season we get to see how much they progress. We get into their characters onto a deeper level and s1 is just special so no flaws I just love the beginnings of things as much as I love the endings...occasionally #2 Season 3: I loved season 3 the reason why is because we actually get to look at the magic of Xadia. It's so beautiful and magical, just seeing all of it is amazing. And I love how Ezran is as king. He and Anya are the GOATED King and Queen as young kids. As much as I want to talk about how awesome s3 was to me....I mostly like it cause of the Rayllum content. Hahahaha no one can deny Rayllum was cute this season. #1 Season 6: I FRIKIN LOVED season 6. Wonderstorm wasn't kidding when this was going to be the best season and it's like a comeback it's amazing. I just love how everything was well paced this season and we got so many information spilled out to the story. And it actually made me tear up on some of them. Especially the fact that this season upgrades s3 Rayllum content. I mean c'mon they get back together this season and even before they did they literally had redos on the s3 Rayllum content. And I can't argue the fact the wait for it was so f@ckin worth it. Wonderstorm left us for months and it never disappoints. Worth no sleep and I wasn't mad that they left us on a massive cliffhanger because everything they put into this season was well past my standards. Sorry for the long ass comment but might as well share my ranking. I'm having a good day today, today was surprisingly not boring at school, and I love TDP so yeah :)😂 😂
S6 would not be as good as it is without the buildup of S4 and S5, which is what folks who rank those two seasons so low don’t get. People are way too hard on S4. It was entirely made during the height of the pandemic, in 2020. For a season that was crafted from the ground up entirely over Zoom, it’s miraculous it turned out as good as it did. Also ranking S5 so low should be considered a hate crime, the Finnegrin arc alone made that season top 3 easily.

Of course things change on rewatches, so for me, having revisited the first arc of the show for the first time in awhile, S1-3 hit better for me then S5.
I’m not sure which season it was but the one where Viren and Aaravos cut a swathe of death across Xadia. The series has struggled to reach such a high ever since imho.
@@ReelJames I think so. It was easier to follow at first but as the number of seasons has increased the quality of the story has dwindled, to the point where some of the later seasons have felt a bit like filler seasons. I miss armoured, badass Amaya!
ranking for me goes s4, s1, s5, s2, s3, s6. 1, 5, and 2 are the hardest to rank for me bc they all sort of fall into the same category of how much i love them so they kind of switch back and forth but 4 is always my least ranked and 3 and 6 are always my top ranked 🫶🏼

Honestly, 2 and 6 were one of my favorites, 5 comes close though, since I love the sea and season 5 was all about it!
My favorite episode of all of the Dragon prince was season 6 episode 8. The combination of Aaravos laughing at sol and the animation of his laughing just made him seem so much more sinister than I have ever seen him.
Plus don’t forget the sick irony that made season 5 context change in season 6
I would like rankings of all the adult themes and which is the best message that has the most meaning from a mature perspective

Season 6 is no. 1 so far, season 3 and 2 are my two other favourites
Season 6- The Red Wedding because I loved the blossoming friendship between Ezran and Aanya and it was so nice to see Janai and Amaya again and their marriage scene was really sweet and beautiful 😊❤
Season 1- Cursed Caldera because of the JerkFace Dance and Lujanne and it was just really fun to watch everyone dealing with the monsters together, this episode was a lot of fun to watch
Season 3- Heroes and Masterminds because I just love Nyx as a character who's really witty, eccentric and has a great sense of humour and Ioved Soren because he selflessly looked out for Ezran and how much he cared for him and looked out for him
Season 2- Breaking the Seal and Heart of the Titan because I just loved seeing Harrow's memories and getting to finally meet Sarai, I really loved her as a character
The Red Wedding is a nice shout out!
Definitely agree with 504 being the best episode of season 5. 508 is close for me, but 504 has all the elements that make TDP, TDP.
Ok this may be my personal bias because I started this show when I was in third grade but I still love season 1 as my all time favorite and I think it doesn't get the recognition it deserves and the story line between Runann and Rayla was absolutely beautiful as in my opinion he was her real father. (Also BTW this is my ranking

I prefer the first saga, because in its (apparent) simplicity, it knew how to handle things better, while season 6, although at higher moments than season 3, also has other much lower ones, such as the Karim revolt, which was finally getting interesting.
Or in the finale, there's the beautiful story of Aaravos, but at the same time there's the story of Rayla with her parents, which for a season finale, isn't that powerful, and doesn't seem to be tied to the main story (apart from the Qasar diamond).
And there continues to be the problem of comedy. For example, after Viren's death, there is the scene of Lujanne's massage, which is too opposite to Viren's dramatic death.
However, it remains a excellent season

Honestly, I heavily agree with your rankings, I would just swap Seasons 6 and 3. I've rewatched the first 3 seasons a couple of times over Covid and it's just what increased my love of this show. Season 3 had such an impact on me during that hard time, it's just hard to beat and I still need to rewatch Season 6 so I could change my mind then.

I was late too getting on board with TDP. I had put off watching the new series of She-ra. I grew up with the original and it and Jem and the Holigrams were my fav shows when I was a little girl. To this day, Sailor Moon is now my fav show ever. I do love TDP and Rayllum but never will ever beat SM. Anyway, I finally decided to watch all the seasons of She-ra and then the 5th and final season was coming out in 2 weeks after I finished watching. Well, Netflix kept bombarding me with TDP for 4 days straight in May 2020, so since I had to wait, I finally gave in and started watching TDP. OMG!!! I fell in love with the show and kept rewatching the all the season 3 times I think and I didn't watch She-ra until 2 weeks after it came out. Season 3 was my fav but Season 6 might tie it now. I will post a separate comment with my fav season and episode list. I have to go through the entire episode list to make sure I have the correct titles.

@@ReelJames don't get me wrong, I love season 1. However, while I loved it the first time I saw it, it feels almost empty when rewatching it. When compared to the other seasons it feels like almost nothing "big" or "dramatic" happens. I understand that it is meant to introduce everything and everyone however that makes it so I have a hard time rewatching it.
I really hope arc three happens I absolutely love this show and I have to say Aanya is my favorite side character so I’m really excited to see her in season seven.
I'll be sad and happy when season 7 comes out like it's the end of dragon prince 😭😭😭😭🤧

The reasoning is that the first 3 seasons had something to them that the next arc just couldn’t capture. I can’t really explain it, but it was this sense of adventure and awe. Every character had an arc and contributed to the story like pieces in a puzzle, whereas the next 3 seasons felt like they had too many characters and some barely did anything for the story (like Zym). The first 3 seasons also had that amazing hand drawn look to them, as well as so much more polish in terms of lighting and facial expressions. While I love the whole show, that beginning arc has something unique and special that puts it above the rest.
I hope that Arc 3 (if Greenlit) will focus on a large scale War against Aaravos

Season 5 I definitely agree! Season 4 *might* be overhated to a degree, but for the most part, the criticisms I've heard are valid.

I personally enjoyed more the last episode of season 7. It was pretty emotive especially me who thought that Soren almost died. I loved it. That episode was pretty good.

Here's MY ranking....starting from the 6(6 is the lowest and 1 is the best NOT SAYING I DON'T HATE THESE SEASON JUST REMEMBER THAT :)
#6 Season 4: For me Season 4 was good but I wasn't really fond of how the events were all over the place. It's wasn't necessarily badly paced in each episode but it's here you have Callum crying over Rayla, in the next you have him distancing himself from her, there's an event for Zubeia and Zym, Ibis dies, The Team goes on an epic adventure then you have a tribunal, Callum get possessed, etc. It's just all these things they put are great in all but at the same time it's also like they just crammed everything and rushed it.
#5 Season 2: I really enjoyed Season 2 but I feel like the only exciting thing we got was the Introduction to Zym and our GOAT Blind and narcoleptic captain Villads. I don't know if it was just me but I wasn't paying attention to what things were going on back at Katolis I was only watching Team Zym and where they were at. I want to believe this was good but............. I dance on Viren's grave, he's evil and I remember this season was what made me go from each season like s1-dislike s2-hate s3- Hate s4- HATE s5- HHAATTEE s6- STILL HHHHAAAATTTTEEE. There were some good moments but I can't really bring up any.
#4 Season 5: I loved season 5...it's just that I didn't like how we didn't get enough Aarovos screen time, I didn't like what was going on with Viren, and I'm VERY offended that they focused more Terry and Claudia's relationship more than our beloved Rayllum. Sure they still had moments but we were just introduced to Terry and Claudia and they get to kiss c'mon.
#3 Season 1: I was debating this with s3 but s1 has to be here. There's nothing actually wrong with it I didn't have any flaws it's just I like s3 more. I will always love s1 because this is the season where we're introduced to the characters for the first time and in the same season we get to see how much they progress. We get into their characters onto a deeper level and s1 is just special so no flaws I just love the beginnings of things as much as I love the endings...occasionally
#2 Season 3: I loved season 3 the reason why is because we actually get to look at the magic of Xadia. It's so beautiful and magical, just seeing all of it is amazing. And I love how Ezran is as king. He and Anya are the GOATED King and Queen as young kids. As much as I want to talk about how awesome s3 was to me....I mostly like it cause of the Rayllum content. Hahahaha no one can deny Rayllum was cute this season.
#1 Season 6: I FRIKIN LOVED season 6. Wonderstorm wasn't kidding when this was going to be the best season and it's like a comeback it's amazing. I just love how everything was well paced this season and we got so many information spilled out to the story. And it actually made me tear up on some of them. Especially the fact that this season upgrades s3 Rayllum content. I mean c'mon they get back together this season and even before they did they literally had redos on the s3 Rayllum content. And I can't argue the fact the wait for it was so f@ckin worth it. Wonderstorm left us for months and it never disappoints. Worth no sleep and I wasn't mad that they left us on a massive cliffhanger because everything they put into this season was well past my standards.
Sorry for the long ass comment but might as well share my ranking. I'm having a good day today, today was surprisingly not boring at school, and I love TDP so yeah :)😂 😂
My #1 season is season 6 second favorite season 3 and least favorite season 4 and I honestly can’t pick one. Just one episode from each season.😅
S6 would not be as good as it is without the buildup of S4 and S5, which is what folks who rank those two seasons so low don’t get.
People are way too hard on S4. It was entirely made during the height of the pandemic, in 2020. For a season that was crafted from the ground up entirely over Zoom, it’s miraculous it turned out as good as it did.
Also ranking S5 so low should be considered a hate crime, the Finnegrin arc alone made that season top 3 easily.

I’m not sure which season it was but the one where Viren and Aaravos cut a swathe of death across Xadia. The series has struggled to reach such a high ever since imho.

@@ReelJames I think so. It was easier to follow at first but as the number of seasons has increased the quality of the story has dwindled, to the point where some of the later seasons have felt a bit like filler seasons. I miss armoured, badass Amaya!
ranking for me goes s4, s1, s5, s2, s3, s6. 1, 5, and 2 are the hardest to rank for me bc they all sort of fall into the same category of how much i love them so they kind of switch back and forth but 4 is always my least ranked and 3 and 6 are always my top ranked 🫶🏼
